  I implemented a knowledge question control multiple response that has 3 correct answers.   This WOULD have been possible if multiple answer questions also had the option of advanced response which is currently ONLY available for the multiple choice questions.  But bony issues do not have this option.

  You are the best solution is to let several attempts on the instructions in question and the place in the legends of feedback failure the user will see when they go wrong.

• Margin of error with the short answer questions

  I have another question regarding Captivate. In my game, I have a few short answer questions. Users must perform a short calculation and enter the result in box. I have entered the correct entry (e.g. 0.62), but I would also like to have a margin of error. If the user enters 0.63 it must also be correct. I could put any response within the margin in the correct entries, but then it appears when you look at the quiz. Is there a way to enter accepted error (e.g. 0.1)?

  I am using Captivate 5, but if it is available in later versions please let me know.

  Please do not use the short answer for such a case to use question. It is too limited, sorry.

  You must use a BER or the TextArea widget. Both have an associated variable. This variable can be checked by a conditional if it is in the areas of advanced action (with more, less or equal...).

  You have to do an LMS? Then it will take a little more work. You cannot post just BER, you will need to check the entry and then view an interactive object appropriate (like a button) which can have a score of 0 or x points attached to them. Look at:

  Here is a simple answer question: can I run two instances of hearing - the same software on two different computers?

  I was just off a cannon MFP HP 6500, instructions aren't really good!

  My question is that the HP can be set to auto-answer, which is a pain when you also have an answering machine connected to the line, so I turned off auto-answer, I just used the land line and noticed the MFP out of Eve as Canon has done, this means that the 6500 will listen to the line (even with auto answer off) and if she hears a fax carrier will pick up? I hope that the answer is Yes and that's what would make the gun, but there is no mention of this feature in all the instructions I've read.

  Hi David,

  I work for HP and noticed your post. Since I am familiar with the printer you mentioned, I thought I will answer you.

  This printer will be picking up the incoming fax when he hears the fax tone, even if the line was actually answered by the answering machine. So that this works, there are a few conditions.

  (1) the printer should be set to auto answer. Is there a button to auto-answer on the right side of the front of the printer next to the switch.

  The fire must be turned on.

  (2) the number of rings must be set higher than the answering machine.

  If the answering machine takes up to 2 rings on the printer 3 or more rings. (This will essentially turn on listening)

  The number of rings can be set by pressing the setup button on the front panel of the printer, right to the Basic setting Fax arrow, select OK, then right arrow to rings before answer.

  (3) the answering machine must be connected to the printer and not any other wall jack in the House. In this way, the printer can control the answering machine records the sound of incoming fax, etc.

  Hi, I work in service of meeting place, I got very confused these 2 question:

  (1) in a real Conference senario, each audio stream of a participant must go to blade Audio (Media server) to mix. If so, then we have the conference voice gateway resource what is it for?  I mean no use voice gateway DSP farm set up a conference?

  (2) in version V7, each audio blade has 250 ports session (G711 audio codec only), and for example, we have 2 blades, then it means that all the participants of the meeting at the same time must be not more than 500?

  Let me answer your questions:

  1. in version 7.x, you use the MCU hardware blades (Audio or video or both) for your audio/video conferences. When you schedule a meeting, this meeting is held on this MCU and you use resouces about this MCU depending on the type of meeting that you have planned (Audio or video or both).

  DSP resources are more for transcoding in this case and not for the Conference.

  2-1 port, 1 user (1 session audio) then Yes you can max 500 participants in a single conference.

  3. When you schedule a meeting you are reserving the resouces on your MCU so you are limited to what is available.

• Quiz do not think that I have answered questions correctly when I did.

  I'm having a problem with the quiz that I created at the end of a Captivate project that I created with the help of a Powerpoint presentation.  I published and he saw in the LMS, but for some reason any that it not register that I am answering the questions on the quiz.  I respond to each of them (correctly or incorrectly - it is not - it does not give any message after I answer and click on 'submit', so I have to click 'next' to proceed to the next question). But my quiz results are always a failure and none of the questions have been answered correctly - or answered everything, even if I answered them.  It's weird because I have successfully added a quiz for a different look and everything went very well (it was Powerpoint too).  I must be missing something in my settings?  I can't understand that as well.  I use 8 Captivate.  Windows 7.

  This is the correct way, congratulations. Another possibility, taking into account other issues that you mention, is that the file is getting damaged. Try to copy and paste the slides to an empty project with the same resolution.

  Strange... You may have multiple CHOICE which is a survey rather than a graduated (no score automatically) question with multiple answers. Delete all messages for feedback and the buttons you want, only submit is actually needed, you decide for the other buttons. But then the user must check at least one option. Maybe you can add the option 'I don't know' or 'I can't choose? This will be an easy fix.

  I was wondering if someone can help out me.  I'm creating a series of tutorials using Captivate and at the end of each of them, I want a slide that has options

  (a) re - run the tutorial (jump will cost about 100 slides)

  (b) go to the next step of the tutorial (next slide)

  Back to start (jump to slide 1) c)

  I had a look at the multiple choice questions in Captivate, but they only appear to alow you to make a move with a "correct" answer and I'm looking for more than a navigational tool.  This feature is recorded under the heading "Quiz" or somewhere else or this function is simply not available in this tool?

  Note that with the type of Multiple choice question, when you select one of the possible answers you have an Advanced button that can be clicked. You can then assign a different action for each answer choice. So answer one could go back 100 slides, answer b could open another project and c answer could perhaps open Google.
