  I'm having a problem with the Base system device PCI bus 69, device 6, function 2 (code 28) on my Elitebook 8440p.

  I was working on my laptop and my Wifi says "no connection available. I made the necessary troubleshooting and landed on it.

  I just bought this laptop on ebay. its working fine, but I just noticed on the computer told me I need to troubleshoot the computer. After I troubleshoot the computer it says that this base system device is missing.   In order to provide the correct graphic driver, I need to know if your laptop's graphics card Intel or AMD/Intel switchable graphics.

  The material under properties pc looks like the picture. It does not install a driver for my printer/scanner, and the headphone jack has not worked since installing Windows 7 Enterprise.

  A few days ago I received an error message that my device Base and an unidentified device system no longer have the drivers installed for them (Code 28). This can happen after my last update of Windows, but I'm not too sure. When I try to update the drivers of the device for each Device Manager, Windows cannot find a driver for the device.

  I did some more research on the IDS of devices. the first two are card reading devices, you must download the drivers for the card reader for windows 7 and try editing them. Finally we're finfer sensor print driver.

  Looks like the motherboard is endangered.  Very common with this model.
