  I think you can try to install the driver from Synaptics page directly as it s the latest driver available for the Synaptics touchpads:

  Since the implementation of a computer only for the use of Adobe products and my photos, I have no more problems with them... until now!

  For some reason any while I had LR 3.4.1 open and shrunk half on my screen suddenly (with no input from me) maximized itself and about 5 pixel white border appeared around the photo showing in the library panel. The most annoying is that the minimize/maximize/close buttons have dissappeared. I must now close it via the Task Manager.

  After the opening and closing several times the white border disappeared, but the buttons are not returned.

  You can find the additional tab which would be you can access touchpad properties.

  As I know the touchpad properties contains many different options that allows you to configure the scrolling function, to activate and assign different actions to the touchpad corners, etc.

  Normally, you just have to disable SmartSense or PalmCheck Control Panel of Synaptics - but from what I've seen, it seems no longer works for Windows 10 versions of this driver.

  You may be able to work around this problem as follows.

  First, download the Synaptics driver on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

  Version of the Synaptics 17.0.18.8 driver

  Disable your wireless card (should be f12 ).

  Open Control Panel, open programs and features, right click on the Synaptics driver and select uninstall.

  When finished, restart the laptop.

  When windows rebooted, open your download folder and re-run the installer of Synaptics - when it is finished, restart the laptop.

  Open the Synaptics settings panel, disable SmartSense or PalmCheck , then check if the touchpad works now with a key on the keyboard is pressed.

  If so, turn on your wireless card and use the utility on the following link to prevent Windows 10 to update automatically the Synaptics driver.

  Either you use the combination of keys FN Fn + F9 to turn off the touchpad or you will do this in Control Panel.

  First of all; It is a model of laptop series Toshiba us.
  Usually, it takes use drivers from this page:

  But it seems that Win 7 drivers are not published on this page for Satellite A305-S6829
  That's why I think that you could choose the page European driver of Toshiba touchpad drivers. Here you can choose the A305 or A300 series.
  I think you could also choose other touchpad Win 7 drivers to the most recent series of laptop.
  Please install the drivers for the touchpad and check if the FN + F9 key would work.

  Note! If no FN key doesn't work, you need to install VAP (value added package) and Support of Flash Card Utility
