WRT54GS computer cannot connect to it.

I am sure that this problem is elsewhere and if you could send me in the right direction would be great!

I put the disc and followed all the instructions. I am not under the modem directly to the router, and when I plug the router in all the lights are on. But when the disk is trying to find the router it is sitting there for 5 minutes about and says it is not able to find. I went through the installation process 3 - 4 times now and still the same result.  Is there something with windows 7 which is not let it connect or is it something in my modem to be changed?

If you need more information I will try to get that for you, but if you could help me get this connected, that would be great!

Thank you

MacBook Air, OS X El Capitan

First of all, make sure that you don't have two accounts with the same address. What happens if one of them is an iCloud account.

From the Mail menu bar, you select

    ▹ Connection Doctor window

In the window that opens, look for an SMTP (outgoing mail) account with a name that corresponds to the account that you are trying to add. Double-click it. Another window opens, displaying the list of all outgoing mail accounts. Click the sign button less to remove the corresponding one, and then click OK.

Try to add the email account again. If you still can not, log off or restart the computer, and then open the preferences window accounts Internet and check if the account is displayed.

  • Computer cannot connect to internet after the user changed network name

    Original title: "Network__".

We offer free wifi in our lobby and yesterday a man asked our pin # so he could get on the internet, we discovered after leaving one of our computers cannot connect to the internet as the name of network now shows its computer network and it has need of a code key passes and the password , how can we disable and back to ours?

    You gave your PIN #?

There should be a reset button on your access to restore your system to

  • Computer cannot connect after upgrade to win 7

I have a window of lapop run Dell 7 and after an update, to stop and can not connect the next day the model keep say bad password but the suspicion is correct for my PS. I did not create a password reset disk so now I can't use my computer... MS or someone please help thanks

    Hello

You will have to return before updates, which is unfortunate.

See if this helps you; the first part is what you must try as you say you know your password.

    Look at scenario 2

And you should make a password reset disk before you forgot your password, not afterwards.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/940765

If you are unable to connect to Windows 7 or Windows Vista, you can use the Windows Vista System Restore feature, or the Windows 7 system restore feature.

You may be unable to connect to Windows Vista or Windows 7 in the following scenarios:

    • Scenario 1: You recently set a new password for the protected administrator account. However, you don't remember the password.
    • Scenario 2: You type the correct password. However, Windows Vista or Windows 7 does not accept the password because the system is damaged.
    • Scenario 3: You delete a protected administrator account. Now, you cannot connect to another administrator account.
    • Scenario 4: You change an administrator account protected with a standard user account. Now, you cannot connect to another administrator account.

  • Win7 computer cannot connect to other computers Win7 network "\\computername is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource ".

I have a Windows 7 (box A) system that cannot connect to files shared on another computer in Windows 7 (box B).

    • On the 'network card' and 'See the network computers and devices', I can see box B of area A.
    • I can ping Box B of area A.
    • I can connect on MEDIA sharing on box B of area A.
    • Area C (another system of Windows 7) I can connect to the B area and am presented with a box of authentication to connect to the shares (i.e., box B works as it should).

But the box has double clicking on box B or using \\computername or \\IP_Address the dialog box run, I get the error:

    ----

\\computername is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions.

The network is not present or not started.

    ----

I know that the system is available, because the area C can access... But something's not on the box... It cannot connect to zone B or C. Box

I have disabled the firewall on both systems without result.

I reinstalled the network adapter and Client for Microsoft Networks is installed on the box.

Yet somehow box's not connection to other computers on the network.

Any thoughts on what I should check would be appreciated.  Thanks in advance for the help.

OK... so I was able to track down and get it fixed...

I found another symptom (that would be a good way to check and see if you experience the same problem).

In the network and sharing Center, I clicked on "Change advanced sharing settings" in the left column. I found that the radio button under "File and printer sharing" was put on the OFF position.  I started and saved the changes, but when I returned in these settings, it is once again in the off position.

It turned out that the workstation service is set to disabled (which also caused the computer browser service for not being able to boot). I activated the workstation service, started, and set it to automatic.  Then did the same for the computer browser service.

Both of these services running, the "File and printer sharing" it will remain actually on IT, and I am able to connect to other devices on the network in the way I had to.

I can't mark this message as the solution (perhaps because I posted it?) so if someone he will quote as their response to the post office, I'll be able to mark as answer.

  • HP ENVY notebook - d000-13D-CT: new computer. Wireless connectivity works however, this computer cannot connect to the internet.

I have a HP ENVY laptop new - 13D-d000 CTO (ENERGY STAR).

    Product name N8R87AV

    Windows Pro 10

    64 bit

Network adapter: Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7265

When I click on the wireless icon - it shows me the connection within the home. I connect and it says it is the network configuration required, but then it crashes. I try again later and it does not find the connection at all.  Other devices in the House are connected, so I know that the real wireless works.

I called HP Tech Support, they tell me it's a matter of Internet provider, I call AT & T and they say it's a problem of HP. I call HP Technical Support and they always say it is a problem of ATT and I have to tell them to configure the settings. I call ATT and they cannot diagnose and insist that it is a problem of HP.  I'm not at a loss.

I hope to find a solution, it seems that networking with HP wireless seems to be ongoing question. Thanks in advance for your help.

    Comment

It is possible, depending on when your new computer was actually produced and implemented for Windows 10, that the Intel Wireless LAN Driver should be updated - or at least reinstalled.

  • My computer cannot connect to Microsoft Update

I tried to run Microsoft Update manually by connecting to the Microsoft Update page. I clicked on install Express, but the research process seemed as if it would never end because the progress bar still moving; at one point, a message appeared "the website has encountered a problem and cannot display the page you are trying to examine. The options below... This block me to install the latest updates. I would really appreciate help from someone to solve this problem. I have somehow hit on WindowsUpdateDiagnostic.diagcab but I can not run because Windows does not recognize this file. If it is a Microsoft tool so why Windows can't recognize it? I would also help on how to open and run this file, if it is indeed a useful tool. I tried a lot of things, but to no avail:

-renamed C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution folder, restarted the computer

-stopped and rebooted rebooted, and automatic updates

Re-regitered several DLLs associated with Microsoft Update

-Rename the Catroot2 folder and restarted (CryptSvc prior to shutdown and reboot after renaming)

None of them helped to solve the problem. I finally downloaded WindowsUpdateAgent30 - x 86 .exe and tried to installed it but a message showed "no need to install it because it already exists.

I would be grateful for any suggestions to get out me of this problem.

I found this entry in the temporary Internet files:

    http://update.Microsoft.com/microsoftupdate/v6/ErrorInformation.aspx?error=15

I had to disable and stop the automatic updates so that automatic updates has taken over almost 100% of the CPU, run like crazy first connect the site to update and download updates, thus crippling my computer. I wonder if anyone from Microsoft reads and addresses this issue as soon as possible. Microsoft is really aware of the problem? I see no way to forward my complaint to Microsoft directly. They hear me? Windowsupdate.log is full of "update is not allowed to download because of the regulation".

I just had the same problem and posted a question on the community site. Finally, after having restarted my computer several times and go to the site with the same lack of results, I found that the site is at a standstill. Maybe their server is down, but this is just conjecture on my part. I see no further questions or comments about that nobody else than you.

  • WRT54G V8 cannot connect to the web-based configuration page?

Earlier, I reset my router and was able to use 192.168.1.1 to visit the configuration page based on the web while trying to restore a home network, now that I have a new computer using Windows 7 that can not use the easylink advisor. I was able to get on the page update my SSID and WEP key. But when my wireless devices were still having problems to you connect to the internet, I tried to go back to the page and found that I can't seem to connect, even if my office is able to connect to other websites very well.

Anyone know what I can do wrong? I use Verizon DSL. I was able to ping to the router and all tests have shown that it was connected fine, but I still can't get on the configuration page and my laptop can't connect to the network. I tried to reset the router again and still nothing. And Yes, I went through several cycles of power. I have also tried to move if the network card on my computer, but the computer said it was impossible to create a card for him, although at the time I had listed as a home network.

Wireless on 192.168.1.1 connections often fail.  Using the router configuration pages, always use a computer that is connected to the WRT54G.

If the above does not solve your problem, so here are my other tips to see the router configuration pages:

You don't need an Internet connection. 'web Pages' of the router are integrated into the router.
Use Internet Explorer, it usually works.
    JavaScript must be enabled.
Use a computer that is connected to the router.
In the non-working computer, temporarily disable your firewall software.

Point your browser to 192.168.1.1, and then connect to your router. Your username must be left blank. Your password is "admin" (without the quotes), unless you changed it.

If you use Zone Alarm, do a right-click on the ZA icon in the taskbar (bottom right of screen) then click on "Shutdown ZoneAlarm" and see if that solves your problem. If this does not work, try the following with Zone Alarm: open the control center ZAISS, go to privacy, then temporarily disable Ad Blocking and Cookie Control and see if it solves your problem.

Some Zone Alarm users reported that the addition of 192.168.1.1 to their address list "of trust" solved the problem. This trick can also work with other firewalls.

If you use Noton Internet Security with the add-on Pack, don't forget to disable the blocker and ad blocker. Some users have reported that they needed to uninstall all Norton Add-on Pack.

If you can not get anything to 192.168.1.1 then perhaps this is not the address of the router. Go to 'Start' > all programs > Accessories > command prompt.
A black DOS window will appear. Type "ipconfig" (with no quotes), and press the Enter key. Look at the "default gateway". It is 192.168.1.1? Point your browser to the 'default gateway', can connect you to your router.

If the above fails, unplug your modem router, then try again. If it solves your problem, then you probably a "modem-router" rather than a regular modem. A report with this problem and also specify the brand and exact model of your modem (not router) number.

If all above fails them, turn off your entire system, unplug it from the wall, wait a minute, then lights up, then try again.

If all the above tips fail, then reset the default router: power down the router and unplug all the wires. Wait a minute. Switch on the router, let it fully boot (1-2 minutes), then press and hold the reset for 30 seconds button, then release the button and allow the router to reset and restart (2-3 minutes). Turn off the router. Wait a minute. To connect to a computer, cable, a router's LAN port. Initialize the system.  The router should work, but you will need to configure your router again from scratch.  If you have saved a router configuration file, DO NOT use it.

If you still have problems, then you must download and install (or reinstall) the latest firmware for your router. After the update of the firmware, you must reset the default router, and then configure the router again from scratch. If you have saved a router configuration file, DO NOT use it.

  • My computer cannot connect to any wireless network. and FN key does not work.

Problem 1: Unable to connect to the internet. I recently went to Disneyland for a 3 day trip, I drove there with my family and when I tried to connect to the wifi in hotels, I realized there was no internet connection on the list. Now I can't connect to my home wifi either.

I don't think it's malicious software or viruses that do, although I may be wrong. I have as well as perhaps he might have gotten damaged during the trip. I'll probably call someone for help tomorrow when I'm less tired. I also tried fn + f3 and has nothing because of my following problem.

Problem 2: Fn key works oddly or not at all. A few weeks ago, when I was a lot of games on my computer. I used the FN up and down to change my fast volume. I used to have a bit of volume pop up showing what it was set, but no more. The same for left and right with the brightness fn.

I'm not fn f3, because there is no nothing.

Help, please. Now, I'm going to sleep and come back in the morning.

UPDATE: I've heard as simply a friend he had to reformat his hard drive due to a very powerful virus that has ceased its ability to connect to the internet. I hope that is not what I have to do. However, I wanted to reset my laptop anyway to get a fresh start.

Thank you. I just had my father come and help me. Something on a plate of connection intel.
