Enterprise License Manager to 8.6?

Is it possible to install a stand-alone copy of ELM for the sole purpose of monitoring the use of the licenses in a UC 8.6 environment?  Meaning, No 9.X anywhere (at least for a few months)?

What would prevent this scenario work properly?

As stated above, it is the equivalent of ELM in version earlier than 9.0. They can use users tool CPU to see how translation would be made when moving from DLU base licenses to SOAR, but that's all.

    ELM expires isn't a license, it is there for license CUCM and UCXN and by itself does nothing so not need to license it.

  • Can the License Manager load the computer license first, instead of the license based on users?

    We have several machines in the lab with licenses computerized on them and a number of technicians who have licenses based on users.     Hey Joe,

    In the license file on the license server, you may be able to manually change the tag "sort" in the file to change the order in which VLM withdraws licenses. Licenses are checked in descending (2, then 3, then 4, etc.). As a general rule, your license file is set up in a default order, but in special cases like this, it may be advantageous to change the order. To do this, follow these steps:

    1. open the license file with a text editor (such as Notepad)

    2. search for the tag "flows out". For example, the entry "VLM_Core" will sort tag value will appear as "sort = first". Do not change this value. VLM_Core must always be the first.

    3. change the value of sorting tag for the license to the computer named to a value less than the value of sorting tag for the named user license. (for example 'sort = 2"for named computer and 'sort = 3" to the named user).

    4 save the file and reinstall the license.

    I currently have the evaluation version of Labview.     Nevermind, it works now. I could go back to a system restore point before the problem started, and that fixed it. LabVIEW would remain on the same screen sometime after he arrived at the "finishing initialization."  I still have no idea why they froze like that just because I entered a server name in the License Manager, but it's ok now.

    Hi - I had LV 8.5 installed for a while now and I just built an exe file, so I need to activate the application builder. I have a license key but I do not see how to run the License Manager.

    According to the instructions in the box, it should be at the start > programs > National Instruments > NI License Manager

    But he's not here. Does Nayone know where on C: I can actually find the exe I need to run?

    Well, my computer has literally just sat there week and this morning it me that LabVIEW was not enabled.  I do not think that the MAC address or the disc has changed in that time.  But who knows.  Our IT is pretty bad.

    Is there a possibility to have a batch command to get information of license? We need for automatic control of accounting and the license. With the normal FlexLM, it is possible to get them to 'lmutil lmstat f', but lmutil does not work in the environment OR :-(. The generation of a text file as the export of 'computer & user' in the OR License Manager would be sufficient.

    Hi, it seems that you have logged the creative Cloud Desktop Application and see the trial versions. Please, try the following steps in order.

    1. Make sure you use the good Adobe ID - if added to the dashboard as Federated ID or company ID make sure that you choose the "Enterprise" option when connecting.
    2. Disconnect and reconnect to the software by selecting help > Sign Out
    3. Make sure that you are connected to the internet
    4. The opm.db file contains the login user cached information and delete this file is a useful troubleshooting step. Once deleted a fresh file will be automatically created when you start creative cloud and reconnect.
    • Close the creative cloud application.
    • Navigate to the OOBE folder.
      Windows: [system drive]: \Users\ [user name] \AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE
      Mac OS: /Users/ [user name] / folder/Library/Application Support / Adobe / OOBE
    • Delete the file opm.db.
    • Launch the creative cloud.

    I waited to stick for 2 hours with service to the customer and have not yet find someone to pick up.  I bought and received a license for creative cloud but cannot assign the license to the end user.  We have hundreds of permit so I can't download it simply.  There is no way to filter by license # or date of purchase from anywhere in the License Manager.  Help, please!  It is for the CEO of my company and is urgently needed.

    We receive an error for our enterprise license key to activate or install CC. The error is "this license key is not valid." It seems even stand for the previous installation, which had obtained his license as soon as possible.     The license key that you are using (and I was) expired on 1 June 2015.

    You will need to buy new licenses.

    VP1 or PS is a good thing to start.
    I assume that you have already run the wizard database using Data Mover in bootstrap mode.
    After you have created your database of ELM, examine the PSOPRDEFN table
    Select * from PSOPRDEFN;

    All PeopleSoft user account are defined in this table and the password is equal to the id of the operator when installing.
    Just see if VP1 or PS resides in this table.

  • Cannot find license manager

    We just bought vCenter Server and vSphere licenses.  When I put the codes in my trial vCenter server it tells me that I need a license server.  I couldn't find what the license server.  I tried turning on itself and that seems to hold, but when I try to add hosts to my data center I get now

    "Impossible to license because the license source is not available: the License Manager has not yet been started, the wrong file license or port@host is used, or the hostname or port in the license file has been changed.

    Is there documentation on how to implement the "License Manager"?  Doing some research I found a lot of References .lic file and one (I forgot the exact name) VM - License.exe.  But neither were part of the 60-trial download and the sons were often for version 2.5.
