Envy touchsmart 15t j100 - unable to connect to second monitor

Hi, my problem is that, for some reason, my desire to hp cannot detect the external monitor. I tried to re - install the graphics drivers (hd 4600 / Geforce 740 m) and I tried to read and search sulutions in line but nothing helepd.

It used to work and suddenly collapsed. any help? My only assumption is that the HDMI itself does not work.

Thank you, Ron.

Thank you for your answer!

So finally, problem solved!  I found that when I disable the HD 4600 driver and only allow it, for some reason, that it works and my computer detects the second monitor, if I restart my computer or unplug the HDMI cable I have to toggle thing again... but at least it works!

AMD Radeon HD D 7560 w / VGA output and an HDMI output

Two HP w1907 monitors (resolution is identical on both screens - when they work together)

    Question:

Last night I plugged my second monitor to the HDMI output with an HDMI adapter / VGA of the Amazon ( adapter ), plug the monitor into it has not come and via the control panel (I tried both via the control panel and some change PC settings) could not detect the second monitor. Then, I went to the HP website and downloaded the drivers, but to no avail. Then I reached down and unplugged the second monitor and resettled to make sure that there is a link, this solved the problem. The monitor came and no further investigation was necessary. However, this morning I woke up the computer to a single monitor and still unable to detect the second monitor. Only when I unplugged and re-inserted the link it works.

  • HP Pavilion 23-q055na: connect a second monitor to an HP Pavilion 23-q055na all-in-one

    Hello

I just bought a new HP Pavilion 23-q055na printer all in one and wonder if it is possible to connect a second monitor. It has an HDMI output, but my second monitor had a DVI connection (DVI - D single link).

It doesn't seem to be DVI to HDMI converters for sale online, but I don't want to lose my money if it's not going to work.

Anyone has any advice on the best way to connect a second monitor to this PC?

    Thank you

    Hi there @Haikugirl

The best choice for you would be a screen that supports a HDMI input you don't need to work with an adapter, at all.  However, there are adapters on the market due to the fact that many adapters are often necessary, and I used the flavors varied in many different situations with great success. In general, I would do some research on the specific device and the brand and are looking for comments before you plan to buy an adapter.

It can never be guaranteed that any device will work in all cases, but if you find a device from a renowned manufacturer, then chances are strongly in your favor.

I would like to begin by ensuring that the DVI input on the monitor works well, before considering an adapter. If it is intermittent in some way, then it is probably not your best choice.

Just my two cents. I hope it helps.

  • ENVY Beats All - In - One Desktop: how to connect a second monitor/TV to HP ENVY Beats all-in-One

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could tell me if it is even possible to plug a second monitor HP ENVY Beats all-in-one desktop PC, because I'm trying to connect my TV as a second monitor via HDMI, and I tried everything I could, but came empty-handed?

    Hello

What is the product/model of your AIO machine? I have a lot of cases, you cannot use HDMI port to connect to a TV, because it's the HDMI IN port. You need USB - HDMI converter/adapter to connect to a TV (or monitor).

    Kind regards.

  • Connect a second monitor to the all-in-one desire

Please forgive my ignorance on this subject in advance.

I just bought a HP Envy all-in-One.  Model 23o014; Product F3E94AA #ABA.  I am running Windows 8.1.   I'm very happy with my purchase so far.

I also bought an AOC E2470Sw monitor and want to connect it as a second monitor to the all-in-One.

AOC monitor has a VGA (?-15-pin) connection), but also has two HDMI inputs.  I THOUGHT (with the agreement of my distracted salesman) that I could connect the two with a HDMI connector on both machines, but I get a blank on the AOC screen when I try.

    What I am doing wrong?

    Thank you

    Hello...

The HDMI connector on the base is an entry, not an output. For a second monitor, you will need to go with a USB to video card.

  • Connect a second monitor to ATI Radeon HD 5570

Hi, I just got my HP Pavillion Elite PHE-360z and it works great so far.  My question is that I have two monitors that I would use with the card.  The first monitor is hooked up okay using the DVI connection.  However, the card has also 2 other slots and I don't know what kind of cables go inside.  Looks like it is HDMI and don't know what the other is.  I have a simple cable VGA to my screen else I want to connect to this card, but do not know how to do it.  Any advice would be appreciated!

    Tim

This article should help you with the connection of two monitors.

Another your monitor handles other types of connection next to the VGA?

The video for the HPE-360z 5570 card has DVI, HDMI and Display Port.  You must also have a VGA to PC adapter.

A Display Port to VGAshould get the VGA signal to your second monitor.  I have not tried this type of adapter.

  • ENVY 15z-j100 - unable to connect headphone

I have a headset with a single cable for the microphone and one for the audio. There is one take on my computer. I can plug the USB cable from the inside, but plugging the MIC cable I can't hear anything, and also nothing is detected by the computer of the headset. By connecting the audio cable, I can hear audio but still once, no language is selected, with the exception of construction in microphones for computers. Anyone know what I can do?

I also have the same model of laptop.  Although the single plug should work as a smart plug, I do not intended for anything other than plug a pair of headphones.  After a few tests, I managed to get my mic headphones to work through the port, but not in a reliable way, enough to recommend.   In your situation, you can either buy a new helmet that uses the interface USB (or Bluetooth if you opted for this feature on your laptop), or you could buy a separate adapter that accepts the entry of your current helmet and convert it to USB, for example, the following map:

  • envy TS m6 Sleekbook: unable to connect to the internet

I can't connect to the internet.  I've had this laptop for 3 years and no problems until now.  I tried to connect via an Ethernet and wireless.  Both have active connections (full bars in wifi), and everything seems fine with them.  No problem, run the network troubleshooter utility.  The problem is when I try to run a program that requires an internet connection (google chrome, microsoft outlook, etc.).  No program will establish a connection.  My browser expires whenever I open it, outlook cannot download emails, etc..  When I try to start solving the problems of internet connection, I get the following message: "Web site (www.microsoft.com) is online but does not respond to connection attempts." This error is listed under the error "Troubleshooting could not automatically solve all the problems."  All other devices in my house (tablets and computers) have no connection problems.  I use AVG Zen to my firewall and virus and protection for more than a year without any problems.  No recent change in the software, hardware, or configuration.  Thanks in advance for any help.

The only way I can see the bluetooth on my laptop is if I go to Services and click Bluetooth support Service. Bluetooth does not appear in Device Manager. • HP Pavilion Touchsmart 11 ED09AU - unable to connect to wifi

Hello! I had problems with this laptop. I bought last month. After using it for a week, I noticed that it is not automatically connect to wifi, and sometimes it takes a little longer (probably an hour) so that it connects successfully to a wifi. And if ever he should be connected, internet access said "limited." I brought to a service center, they changed the wifi card, and then I guess that after using it for more than a week, the same problem occurred. This is a big drawback for me I hope that someone can help me, and I just want to know if anyone had experienced the same problem. Thank you very much!

    Hello Jabb050914,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand that you are having problems with wireless connectivity. Can you please tell me the name of your new wireless card? You should be able to find this in the device under network adapters Manager. Also, can you me if other devices are wireless, or if this PC works with a wired connection to the router or modem?

Here are a few things to try in waiting for your response:

    Powercycle the network:
    1. turn off your laptop.
    2. unplug the power to your router.
    3. disconnect the power to your modem.
    4. wait at least 45 seconds.
5 reconnect the modem and wait for it to come back online.
6 plug in the router and wait for it to come back online.
    7. turn on your laptop and test your connection.

Reset the TCP/IP settings on your PC:
    1. go to your start screen and type CMD.
    2. right-click on the command prompt icon and select run as administrator at the bottom of your screen.
    3. in the window that opens type "netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt" without the quotes and press ENTER.
4 restart your PC and test.

It can also help to reset the winsock catalog:
    1. go to your start screen and type CMD.
    2. right-click on the command prompt icon and select run as administrator at the bottom of your screen.
    3. in the window that opens type "netsh winsock reset" without the quotes, and then press ENTER.
4 restart your PC and test.

If these steps do not resolve the problem, try this document published by Microsoft for network management issues: wired and wireless network problem.

    Hope this helps!
