  Editing the registry is necessary. Make sure that you have a backup of the registry before making changes.

  • Press the keys Windows + R on your keyboard to open the run box.
  • Type regedit in the box run and press Enter to open the registry editor.
  • Confirm the UAC message by clicking on the Yes button.
  • In the left pane of the registry editor, expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE to find the key below.
  • SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Spooler.
  • While the spooler key is highlighted, you can navigate the right pane to assign the value DependOnService.
  • Double-click the string value to change the data.
  • The data in the value field should contain the text saying RPCSS, followed by http in the next line.
  • Select and delete the letters http and click OK to save your changes.
  • Leave the part of RPCSS to the value data as it is written.
  • Close Registry of Windows and restart your computer.

  Download the drivers on the PC you have posted your message.

  Either burn them to a CD or copy them to a USB key.

  Two media allows to transfer the drivers on your PC and install.

  I tried several times to use this computer and the printer. The printer works perfectly on Windows 7 computer on the same network. If I add a printer using Windows, it will appear very well, but uses Windows basic drivers that are somewhat limited in choice of size of paper. If I download the latest drivers from HP, he will see the printer but say that it cannot connect to it. I used this computer and the HP software in order to properly install the latest firmware wide 7110, communication and wireless visibility isn't the issue.

  BTW, I copied the file driver for my 64 bit computer Win Desktop 8.1. I then tried your method of removing the printer. Unfortunately he'd let me not remove the .inf due to security or other concerns.   Looks like maybe the USB cable is plugged until the software is ready for it, so I would recommend that you download and run the HP printer installation wizardbecause it will work with the USB cable, regardless of when it is plugged. The software you have is the right software, it's a little more 'delicate' with plugged the USB cable at a certain time. Bit of a control freak, this version of the software is

  I was trying to understand why the windows installer did not work on my son's account. I went in systems and changed to start and automatic manual. Rebooted PC and the firewall do not come. Tried to do a restore, but failed and lost all my restore points.

  At this point, I lost my internet connection to know after vainly trying to figure out the problem I contacted an ATT(my internet server) of things ATT me had to do was change the properties to get the use of a DNS server address automatically and had typing me the address. After reviewing the many things ATT concluded there was not a problem with my connection and the PC is configured correctly and suggested that I should speak to technical support and of course, it was not free.

  Tech support determined there was something that crashes me to connect to the internet and had run me malwarebytes. He detected 24 traces of adware and 2 traces of a virus in the registry database. I deleted everything and still no connection to the internet. Next Tech had me run Combofix and says everything should run fine after that. Still no connection to know Tech # 3 had executed me guests of orders with ping commands. Finally, he had me check the auto config button and that's where I discovered the two buttons were lit. Tech said "can't be." Well it is. That's when I tried to roll back the driver, but no luck so tech says only option is to restore the whole system.

  GRRRR... After several internet searches that I'm about to do except nothings saved and whenever I try to use my backup and restore fails.

  Any help would be appreciated. I'm still fairly new to PCs so please be patient with me. Laughing out loud

  I know that my options have been counted, I was able to save what was important and made a full system recovery. I am happy to say that I'm back on the internet.

  I knew that the Synaptics Touchpad no longer works. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the driver, but I do help. I still see the touchpad in the listof material and devices.  And every time that select the properties of the mouse it still appears the message like this unable to connect to the Synaptics Pointing Device Driver, if you have installed a different ps 2 device driver scoring please uninstall the synaptics using the Yes button.  You must then reinstall your device external device driverfor score again. 

  In the control panel > Device Manager > display hidden devices under the mouse and other pointing device, there is a yellow triangle on the HP TOUCHPAD SMBUS.

  I have a HP ENVY 8.1 Windows running.  No problem until a few days ago, when I couldn't connect to the internet (no e-mail link or a browser).

  Wireless and ethernet connections seem to work. I can connect to the internet via another PC, smart phones, etc.

  E-mail started acting erractically. I tried to restart the computer, and then he started to install updates.  Not sure if she did because it does not connect to the internet.
