ePower tray stopped working

I just started getting the message error "ePower tray stopped working.  I tried to check for a solution online, but nothing helped.  How can I fix it?

W8TTS,
You use an Acer computer?  I think the ePower is an OEM (Acer) installed toolbar.  It can be used by a different OEM but I think it's Acer.  I could check with your OEM on this application and see if it can easily be reinstalled. Mike - Engineer Support Microsoft Answers

  • LaserJet CP1025 Color - PC system tray stops working whenever I have send a doc to the printer.

LaserJet CP1025 colour connected via direct USB for WINDOWS Vista 32-bit. I have the latest drivers, applications, and firmware for the printer, but the system tray stops working whenever I print a document. I tried this on Windows 7 via USB and get the same problem. Why does this happen?  I have another printer connected to the PC and I deleted all other HP drivers so that they don't interfere with the laserjet.

Thanks for the update. I also found another thread where a lot of troubleshooting has been done, but the problem persists or is fixed only to reproduce:

I noticed it happens on XP, Vista and 7. I recommend updating the firmware first (if you have not done so) by going here:

In addition, in the printer preferences, disable bidirectional printing, which is located by clicking right on pinter > choose Print Properties > click on the ports tab > uncheck bidirectional printing.

Have you tried to reinstall the battery Toshiba BT?

Usually, this will help you get rid of this error message.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus: fit to Page has stopped working

Adjust the Page setting has stopped working, but the printer will expand again manually.

Copy - settings - resize - adjust α Page stopped working. It allows me to always select the setting, but when I push copy the copy is not expanded.

Copy - settings - resize - Custom still works, but it takes forever to grow something because you have to keep hitting the top or down arrows (you must press the arrow pointing upwards, 100 times to set the printer to enlarge it 200% copying.

I use Fit daily page in my work, but it stopped working about 2 weeks ago and I need to get back to work.

I always put it to adjust to Page when I copy and sometimes it will work, but 95%, it prints the copy without enlargement.

    How can I fix?

    Hey @WG2,

Thanks for getting back to me on this subject. It's honestly the first time I heard about brands of pen on the printer tray, creating a conflict for the adjustment to the copy of the Page in white feature. I will definitely keep in mind for the future.

Regarding the cleaning, the pen delimits the white mile tree windows is supported. Don't use of cleaners containing abrasives, acetone, benzene, or carbon tetrachloride. These substances can damage the printer. Avoid alcohol isopropyl (rubbing alcohol) because it can leave scratches on the glass.

If you use a mild cleaner still does not work remove pen marks, I recommend you contact our Technical Support by phone queue to explore additional options. The Platinum is a non-replaceable part, so if it cannot be cleaned the whole unit replacement may be necessary.

  • Startup error message: "Microsoft Mobile PC presentation adaptability Client has stopped working".

I recently tried to install SP2 to Vista, but it failed. I tried all the resolutions posted, but it is not always correct it. Later, I started my Vista (automatically restored to SP1) and it came with a mistake, "Microsoft Mobile PC presentation adaptability Client has stopped working". I tried searching on the net for similar problems, but I could not find any solution. He comes back every time you start, after that the background, shortcuts and the system tray loaded. This error started showing when I tried to install SP2, but he failed and returned to changes. I think that something could have gone wrong and that's why it shows this message.   Today I tried the system restore to the restore point JUST before I tried to install SP2, but it ALSO failed and brought me back to the State.
I'm not sure if it's related, but I'm also no longer be able to use Windows Media Center, as every time I start it I immediately receive the error message "Media Center has stopped working".

    Hi zensurferboi,

First, we will check if we get error safe mode, start the computer in Safe Mode reboot and press the F8 key for about four to five times. You'll see the Mode without failure listed in the advanced window options, select Safe Mode, and then press ENTER.

Check if the error mode without failure.

If the startup error message does not appear safe mode, I recommend you to place the computer in a clean boot state, and check if the problem occurs in a clean boot state.

To put the computer in a clean boot state, follow these steps:

    Perform a clean boot

Note If the computer is connected to a network, network policy settings may prevent you from following these steps. We recommend strongly that you do not use System Configuration utility to change startup options on the computer, unless a support engineer Microsoft directs you to do so. This can make the computer unusable.

    a. log in the computer using an account with administrator rights.

    b. click Start , type msconfig.exe in the Start Search box and press ENTER to start the System Configuration utility.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click continue.

    c. under the general tab, click Selective startup, and then clear the Load Startup items check box.
(The box use the Boot file is not available.)

    d. on the Services tab, select the hide all Microsoft services check box and then click on disable all.

Note Following this step lets services Microsoft continue to run. These services include networking, Plug-and-Play, record of events, error reporting, and other services. If you disable these services, you can permanently delete all restore points. Do not do this if you want to use to restore the system with the existing restore points.

    e. click OK, and then click restart.

Once the computer restarts, check if you get the error of starting.

Reset the computer to start as usual

When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

    1. Click Start , type msconfig.exe in the Start Search box and press ENTER.
    2. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click continue.
    3. On the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.
    4. When you are prompted to restart the computer, click restart.

If you don't receive the start-up error message after placing the computer in a clean boot state, follow the steps below in the link to diagnose the program or service that is causing the problem:

  • My keyboard for my Acer aspire switch 10 has completely stopped working

I use my Acer 10 for about six months and had improved to win 10 just now with no problems.  This morning the keyboard stopped working.  I checked the Tablet contacts, clean them with a brush and a cleaning and not restarted, no chance.  The keyboard when it starts allows me to enter the PIN code and I have a USB mouse attached to the keyboard that works, but none of the keys work when I am connected to Windows. If the screen times out and I try to enter the PIN code again, nothing.   I can navigate around using the mouse, but not have the ability to enter information on keyboard.  I'm stumped and would apprecaite any suggestions welcome.  Acer has been great so far?

I solved the problem!  It turns out it is 10 Windows that caused the problem.  Filter keys were turned on somehow and they disable the keyboard for users with disabilities. I discovered this on another machine when it happened too, but this time a unrecognized icon appeared in my system tray.  The icon has been for these filter keys and when I turned off their keyboard is back.  How this stupid thing got switched on I don't have a clue.  The original pc with the problem did not show a filter key icon in the system tray, so I was puzzled, did not know they existed.  Something for others to check if this is the case for them.  Thanks for your help.

If you run the utility from the Vista DVD System File Checker, it will extract the files it needs to turn off the DVD to replace those damaged.  If this does not work, you will need to do a repair of your Vista installation.
