• Windows Movie Maker - releasing only audio, is it possible to publish the exact length of the audio and does not include the lot of silent at the end?

  Windows Movie Maker - have 6 minutes of audio spliced, I would like to publish in the form of an audio clip with no video.  I heard that this is possible, and it all works, the 'framework' includes 6 more minutes of space without air circulation that gets compiled with the planned 6 minutes of audio matching 12 minutes of audio rather than the 6 minutes.  Is it possible to MovieMaker 'See' the end of my audio instend, to include 12 minutes in length with it default?  Should I include photos or video for the project to publish only 6 minutes, instead of the 12 minutes?   I hope this makes sense...

  I assume you are using Vista Movie Maker 6 and not Live Movie Maker?

  It is a problem that I've not seen before... the recorded length must be equal
  at times combined clips on the timeline. I guess it's possible
  If you've done a lot of editing/trimming clips... something was corrupted.

  I was wondering... If you import the .wma file saved in Movie Maker and drag
  it to the timeline... it shows the clip as being the length of 12 minutes? If it isn't...
  Perhaps you could he split and right click Delete unwanted 6 minutes and
  then re-save.

  Divide... drag the playback at the end of the music and the type indicator... CTRL + L
  .. .to split the file then right-click of the unwanted part and click on delete.

  Tip: Unlike clips video... audio clips can be dragged to the timeline, so don't forget
  they are dragged all the way to the left to prevent air from dead at the beginning or
  between the clips.

  It may be worth trying to go to... Tools / Options / compatibility... tab and the left click
  the "All default settings" button before the Save.

  And... If the clips audio source are not the. WMA format... it could be a useful
  try to convert them to WMA before you import into Movie Maker.

• Can I use iPad Pro to work on the book ID file if I save on CC?

  I'll be traveling and have a book project, I may need to change down the road.  Is there a way I can download the cover and inside the book files to the creative cloud, with all related images and make changes to this file from my ipad pro?  I have ID CC subscription for my office iMac, but don't know if there is a mini version of ID for the iPad or an app that would allow me to read these files and make changes to my ID 2015 CC files so I would welcome them in the CC from Adobe?

  No, there is no version of all of the creative Cloud Office who are available for iOS or Android devices, including the iPad Pro.

  Applications such as InDesign CC, CC Illustrator and Photoshop CC are much too large and demanding of RAM to run on any tablet or Smartphone.

  You need a laptop to carry desktop versions full of these applications for a real work project.

  We adapted production and Webhelp is broadcast by RH11.

  We have created a navigation sequence to navigate between courses (book) and between subjects. The customer expects these buttons to jump to the lesson in the first section of this lesson, and when they the last subject, he has to bring to the next lesson.

  For example, when the learner clicks on the next button on the book of lesson 2, it takes for heading 1 of the lesson 2. When he clicks the next button on the last topic of lesson 2, must be reserved Lesson 3. Same thing with the buttons Back.

  You need create a single sequence that begins at the first logical topic and moves to the last logical subject.

  I don't know if FM allows you to set the sequence it. If so, I'm not equipped to tell you how to do it. But if it is possible only in RoboHelp, it's super easy-just open the sequence editor to browse and tell RoboHelp to create a sequence based on the table of contents "such what ' (for RoboHelp 2015 broadcast) or type 0 (zero) to the number of levels of table of contents to use.

• RoboHelp 11 search results differ from the merger of projects

  Please bear with me as I am a new user to Robohelp, I have looked around and have been unable to find an existing thread on the subject I see.

  I have a project (lets call this project A) in 2 forms.

  (1) all first as a stand-alone project (project A).

  In this format the search feature seems to work correctly, outside to drop the 'e' in search of the only word ending with 'e' (I found a small amount of information on it, but not a solution).

  (2) the second form is that of a merged project (project B). Its configured in the form:

  Project B TOC:

  Introduction

  Book

  Project A (merged)

  In this second format if I search for a term with an 'e' suffix the number of results is lower.

  I managed to establish the difference between the 2 research.

  Example:

  Search on the word: "merge".

  (1) 8 results

  (2) 5 results

  5 results that return in the two are where the substring "Merg" (the 'e' lack) is part of a word in these topics, 3 lost results are those who have "Merge" as a stand-alone Word.

  Scenario 2 seems to be looking for 'Merg %' and excluding "merge".

  If anyone can suggest a solution, or if you need further explanation, please let me know.

  The presentation of single Source has an option to allow the search of substrings, which seems to match your option (1). Do you use SSL even to create the output? What is the setting for the substring search in project the master and child?

  You can find the option in the search of the WebHelp SSL settings tab.

  I'm quite new in the Java scripts and I'm working (or studying) to export a pdf to book via a script.

  I want to save the pdf file in the same way and with the same name of the books itself... is it possible?

  I have at least eight .indd documents in a book, six of them contain a table of individual contents.

  Do you know a script available that I can run that will automatically update all TOCs? I don't want to manually open all documents in the book and click on layout-> Update Table of contents?

• FM11 creates blank pages on the book to refresh

  Hi guys,.

  I'm here fighting with FM11 very strange behavior.

  I have a (informal) book with several binary files of FM (structured).

  The first part of the book is the cover with a few pages of marquetry includes an auto generated by the TOC (excluding the references to the pages of beginning and end).

  This work must be completed and contains total, including the cover as the first item and the last book of 48 pages.

  Now the first component contains 3 pages and a double layout with the help of several auto set of master pages (I know there is a problem with the removal of the excess pages with no left-right MP).

  But it's not exactly my problem.

  The problem is when I try to update the book. There is a blank page being created in the first part of the book, which I got rid of in the first place.

  Which is not really a problem because I can manually delete this page (and it continues being deleted if I does not update anything).

  But the real issue is that the references are SUBSEQUENTLY updated, which means all page references in the book are a single page to come.

  This is unacceptable, because it spans all the references in the entire document, which are wrong because of this.

  Is it possible I can get FM does not create this excess blank page?

  I'm tight on the calendar and clean up the mess of my boss gave me this document, so quick responses are really appreciated.

  New day, new chance.

  I finally found a solution to this. If I manually assign each component to start at a specific page (on the left in this case), I'm can FM does not create this white page after the 3 initial cover pages.

  While this works good for this project, I still think it's a bug. Reset of the user without notice or dialogue configurations cannot be expected behavior.

• Report of preflight using the book palette

  Using the book palette, I'm controlling upstream a number of documents. I checked 'Some Documents' only and said I want a report is generated.

  For some unknown reason, the generated PDF report is only 1 page/length. Normally, I would jump of joy that a few errors. However, a fellow Designer, using the same preflight profile and preflight the same number of documents, receives a report that is several pages long.

  No idea why the report generated from my Mac is only 1 page/length? I never had this problem before.

  I hope that this issue can be resolved without having to trash my preferences. I have too many to remember all custom settings.

  Problem has been resolved mysteriously.

  Instead of generating a report, I tried to export the selected documents in PDF format (thinking that maybe Acrobat was failing on one page only). Several PDF pages have been generated. I tried again to control upstream selected documents and have a generated PDF report. This time it worked perfectly.

  Strange indeed.

• Best Format for graphics for the book?

  I have a book to the third edition with an editor (see my Web site below), but I am now self published the fourth edition.  I wrote the previous edition in FM, and I had a number of drawings in Adobe Illustrator by an assistant in EPS; I put all the photos in TIFF format.  This seemed to work well, but these are the best choices?  This all in PDF format go to go to Createspace for self publishing/distribution.

  Given that these are probably vector art and already PostScript, usually just EPS import. This guarantees a maximum quality to paper and max quality at all scales in PDF format.

  Exception: If the vector is extremely high, I rasterize to TIFF at 300 dpi or more. By saving the EPS to PDF from Illustrator, you can verify the impact PDF (don't forget to turn off thumbnail and preview, or redact metadata in Acrobat Pro).

  For EPS in any format of XML based e-book, I am tempted to the EPS first convert in SVG (i.e. XML), but framework trashes currently SVG on HTML and XML records, so you would need a post-processing step to convert the GIF, JPG or PNG SVG referenced or embedded reference.

• problems with a collapse of the books in the .chm files

  In my .chm file generated, when I'm in a file in one of the books and click on a link that brings me to another book of this .chm file, my original book automatically collapses. This does not happen in all my projects, though - is there a setting to make sure few matter where I am, books in my table of expanded content stay unless I click on the expand/collapse button?

  There are a bunch of parameters that govern the way which is behavior the table of contents. To edit, look at your neighborhood single Source Layouts. Right click on the layout you want to change (in your case, Microsoft HTML Help). See this button named Edit to the right of the parameters advanced? Click on it and you will see that a dialog box named HTML Help - advanced settings. You should now see a 'TOC Styles' tab. Click on this tab. The option that causes the open books collapse when opening another book is named single click to open books. Deselect this option and dismiss all dialog boxes. Re-compile and you must then set.

• Motion 5, how to save a template of the PCF as Project Builder?

  I am a user of Apple Motion 5. I don't have FCP since I'm only interested in entertainment.

  I downloaded a nice gift that after installation, stood under Final Cut generators in Motion 5. I try to open it, change some settings and save the result as a Motion project. However, I have found that I can just save it as a new model (which there still appears somewhere under Final Cut generators).

  Is it correct that I can't save it as a project of Motion? If this is not the case, correct, how to proceed?

  Yes, FCPX models are a very different type of project of Motion than a generic Motion.  They have different suffixes.  You want a .motn file.  Those of FCPX is .moef (effects), .motn (generators), .moti (titles), .motr (transitions).   Some of them have hidden the integrated structural elements that make their work as in FCPX and does not work as a generic Motion project.

  That said, you can get what you want.  Here are three tips:

  1 - Note that a generator of FCPX is the same suffix as a generic Motion project, .motn.  Just move it out of the Motion Tempates folder if you do not use FCPX.  You can get rid of the files "large.png" and "small.png", that they are only used in FCPX media browser previews.  Save the 'Media' folder if all is in it, and if so, keep the .motn file and the folder inside their original folder, together.  If the "Media" folder is empty, you can extract the file of project .motn by itself.

  2. you can start a new generic Motion project, open the FCPX template file, and then copy and paste layer objects in between.  That's what I do quite often.

  3. just as a tip, if you have a generic Motion project, in the file menu, you can chose to publish under a generator FCPX file.  But not to record a project generator FCPX a generic.
