• How to create a report page by using the Web layout editor

  I use wcc11.1.1.7, I need to create the report page by using the Web layout editor, but in this applet (editor), there are only 3 types of link to the page: local page, external page, query, it must be of type of the active report (historical), why I can't see them? y at - it components should I activate this?

  It doesn't have to be in the link on the Page, but in the Page Type.

• How to use the book of fonts with fonts that are installed on the external hard drive

  I have all my fonts to a folder on an external hard drive. How can I use font book to manage these fonts? I want to keep on the external hard drive, not book fonts move them to my main hard drive. For some reason, font book does not know where are the fonts and as soon as I show, he sets in motion all the fonts on my hard drive in a folder/library/fonts. NOT what I want! I don't want thousands of fonts clutter up my main hard drive. I just can't understand how the font book. Only option, I can see, it is 'Install' and it is then the copy begins. I read and tests all day and I just can't understand this. Thanks for your suggestions.

  Font book handles only the fonts that are present in one of the folders of fonts on the startup disk. It can disable these fonts, but it won't work as a custodian of the fonts installed also. I would have suggested using a symbolic link to the folder fonts on the external drive to ~/Library/Fonts, but apparently that no longer works: allow to use symlinks in ~/Library/Fonts

  Add the REGISTRATION_YEAR_ITEM to the IR Page elements to submit property. He will submit the current value in session state.

  Why bother with the page element at all? Why users can't create just an IR filter?

  For performance reasons, use bind variable notation when you reference values from session state in SQL queries.

  Is it possible to create an interactive report that can be changed in the same page? If the user edit a field, it must get updated in this table.

  Let me know if this is possible without assistance from the Collections of the Apex

  That's assuming you don't need inline editing.  If you do this will require an even more customized solution, but the way above requires no collections.

  I think that IR out-of-box features do not work correctly when you use the APEX_ITEM functions in the query.

• Interactive report conditional forwarding using the link in the column?

  I use APEX 4.2. We have an interactive report as an overview, we are the column standard link (with the pencil symbol) to go to a form of details.

  Currently, we introduce the user permissions to our application. In accordance with these permissions, not all objects contained in the report can be changed by a user. I made a copy of the form that is set to read-only and eliminated all the buttons.

  My question is: is it possible to redirect conditionally to the form (page 301) or reading one page (10301) according to the permissions of the user? And if I can change the symbol in the column link depending on the permissions this way? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

  I got it! With 2 hidden columns and a column containing the link and icon. First, I created a table where I store my frm pages - and unalterable (afp and arp) according to the dev_class. PERM is the colum where I get 1 (authorized) or null. This column contains the link and the icon later in my report. Then I built columns hidden in my opinion like this:

• Report not loading - using the variable of presentation

  I use a variable presentation in the guest of my dashboard and going to the filter in the report. The report will give me no result even when it meets the criteria. I have to purge the cache and then it will display the results. I do 20 - 30 times a day and I don't know what the problem is. Can someone guide me what needs to be done to solve this problem.

  Yes like angelique suggests trying to create the same report in another page with variable presentation online. I do not have that we might have this problem with cahce. Even try to make protected filter (click the filter option, you can see it).

• Problem with the synchronization in the book palette

  I have a book consisting of three documents. I changed the size of the margin in the style source document template. Then I Resync all the documents, but the margin changes apply to other documents. I don't know what to do... Any suggestions?

  Under sync options make sure you that you have checked the master pages.

  I just finished my first draft of long document (a 500 pages book!) who, as a relative "newbie" to InDesign, was a challenging and rewarding project.

  Thanks to those who helped along the way (including the Eugene, the Peter S. and Kenneth.)

  So, I'm ready to collect my 15 chapters together using the book palette, but before I do and mess up things, here's a question:

  The first document is the section Intro (the first ten pages) and is numbered i - x,

  Chapter 1 is numbered pg1 - 38.

  The next section, Chapter 2, I started inadvertently numbering to Pg1 again instead of pg 39 and all chapters played on this.

  I have therefore two chapters that begin with pg1.

  Once in the palette book if I repaginate, it seems, it should easily repaginate automatically and everything is correct.

  To avoid unnecessary surprises, what I have to select only the chapters where the problem exists (for example, not the first Intro and Chapter 1 Sections that are correct?) when I do?

• Export reports updated using the DataTransferService

  I'm trying to set up a synchronization with our Eloqua instance by exporting saved reports using the DataTransferService API.  Documentation, it is said:

  Before you export data through most of export system, you will need to connect to the user of Eloqua® interface and create excerpts from standard data that you will run. You will need create a report 'saved' in Eloqua®, and then configure the report registered for export. Once that is done - the newly created export report will be shown in describing assets DataExport via the API.

  
  

  I created the report saved a contact filter; How to "configure this report backed up export?  When I look at the results of DescribeAssetType ("DataExport"), I don't see my report saved listed (I guess that's because I've not implemented for export again).  What Miss me?

  Nevermind, I figured it - go to the Admin report | Agents and using the drop-down arrow next to my name, select 'new on-demand report export.  Wow, it was hard to find! I hope this helps.

• Imported text formatting disappears when you change the font in the character palette.

  Something seems to have changed with my InDesign, and I don't know why. Here's what I used to be able to do.

  I could import a word doc into a text box. This text would be bold italic, regular, fonts. I choose the text box, and then change the font using the character palette by changing just the upper box of the police. For example, if the police imported as Helvetica, but I wanted to be all Futura, I check the box and then simply type Futura and all bold Helvetica would become "BOLD" Futura, and italic Helvetica became Futura Italic, etc.. I didn't have to select each row.

  Now if I try to do the same thing, when I select Futura, it changes just ANY text to regular Futura. I lose all the precedents of the formatting that was imported from the word doc.

  I hope this makes sense.

  How can I go back to the way it was?

  I fixed it. It was so simple. I just stumbled upon the answer.
  All I had to do was change the search option using this drop-down list. (See the image)

  

• PDF of the book creation

  I have a book with 28 chapters. At the present time, that each chapter is that it is own InDesign file.

  In some cases, a chapter ends on a left page and the next chapter starts on a right-hand page. In other cases, a chapter ends on a right-hand page, and the next chapter starts on a left page.

  All the chapters are in a book palette.

  When I do a single PDF of the chapters in the book palette, if a chapter ends on a left page and the next chapter starts on a right-hand page, these pages do not appear as spreads in the PDF. These pages are unique pages in the PDF file, and all other pages are pasta spread.

  Any help on how I can get all the pages to be spread in the PDF?

  I wondered about this myself in the past, that's why I can give you a definitive answer.  I suspect that it is because even if the documents are combined into a book, the printing functionality treats always when printing documents separate all together. He is not able to put these two pages together because they are separate documents.

  The work is the only way.  I'm sorry.
