eqlrethin on windows 2008 R2 with Exchange

Hello

I have PS6500 tables and updated the firmware to 6.0.7 recently. I want to claim back on the exchange database and log LUNs, Lun show indicated the size same as the size reserved although only a small percentage is used by the operating system. This is the recommendation of the eqlrethin command. How will I be able to fix the size reported on the table?

C:\Program Files\EqualLogic\bin > eqlrethin j:\ - one
Volume j:\
File system reports 2.6 GB in use, SAN reports 100.0 GB allocated for this flight
UME.
Rethinning was able to recover up to 0.0 MB (0%) of storage for this volume.
Rethinning is not recommended.

I suggest you open a pension case so that it can be watched directly.

Hi, I hope someone can lead/help me with this seemingly simple problem.  I have a Windows 2008 domain with 2 servers and clients Windows 7 15.  We want the time synchronized on all the servers and PC locally, both internally, everything is like it is all that concerned.  Things seem to be turned off after a few minutes on each PC.  Can someone help me understand how to do this very easily and, possibly, without having to go to each PC and make changes?

  • Clones of Windows 2008 r2 with bizarre behavior

    Hello

We just wanted to share a bizarre situation that we came up with a scenario of several clones of Windows 2008 x 64 r2 web edition.

    Here it goes:

First, we use the ESX 3.5 U5/VC with the latest updates.

We get 4 clones (parent 1/3 of them created using VCenter/1 of them created manually) divided into different ESXs. Following the recommendation of the brand, we have not changed the SID again.

    Now the bizarre behavior:

Whatever actions you do on the last clone of (5), it will change the content of its parent. It's like having a fill. disk, the cluster or real time shared between them.

    For example:

If you go to Manager services IIS and make all the changes on a Site, these changes appear thoughtful on the parent in real time.

If you put two users, one on each clone, the tasks as one of those users do on his clone automatically replace what has changed the other user.

Any of you could offer us a reasonable way to the way to understand.

For us, it makes no sense and break the logic of good sense.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

My intuition was wrong - you have not linked clones.

Virtual machines must be independent of VMware side of things.

You have this IIS home directory on a network share? -C' is the only other idea I might explain such behavior

  • Service Windows 2008 Remote with no downtime.

I have 2 services Terminal Server, running Windows 2003 and 2008 one running Windows OS.

    I put two servers:

    Active Session limit: never;

    Idle session limit: 8 hours (as a test);

To end a session disconnected after 8 hours (again as a test).

The Idle Session limit holds on the Windows 2003 server, but NOT on the Windows Server 2008.  If the client computer has been idle for a certain number of minutes at random, the Windows Server 2008 screen goes black, and they must press CTRL ALT end (or move the mouse and the keyboard around like crazy for 30 seconds) so he can reconnect.  You don't have to do it with Windows 2003 server.

None of the screensavers on computers.  All the saving settings turned off.  Group Policy: "auto-reconnect" enabled; "keep alive interval" enabled and set to 1.

Windows 7, 64-bit workstation.  (I 'heard', but have not yet tested, that a XP computer doesn't have this problem.  Will test).  But should not happen with Windows 7 either.

What Miss me?  Is it normal?  y at - it a bug?  I tested this on three Windows 7 64-bit rdp clients - lies to these same two terminal Server farm.

FVO-Export is an option. However, since you have an another data store with the free space on the disk, you can also simply copy the existing virtual machine to this data store.

    What I'd probably do:

    • stop the VM (s) located on the data store
    • remove existing snapshots
    • remove the VM (s) of the inventory (right-click the virtual machine-> "Remove from inventory")
    • copy the files of the virtual machine to the another data store (using the browser data store)
    • Rename the original files (to make sure there is no more reference)
    • Add the VM (s) to the inventory (right-click the file vmx in the news/copied folder in the browser data store)
    • Power on the VM (s) to make sure that everything is ok
    • delete the 'old' records

There may be other options too, however the steps above should ensure that the copy process is properly and it is save to remove the now empty data store.

We are always on the 4.0 update 3 and will move to 5.1 here in the coming months, but we are testing a new environment of Citrix xenapp on 2008 R2 servers and noticed that it is not a sound card. On our 2003 32-bit servers, there was and we have audio broadcast to their thin clients, etc... The upgrade of vmware with vmware tools 5.1 9 will provide a fix for this or is this a known limit? Just bought this as a backup device for Small Business Server 2008 running on Windows 2008 64-bit. However it does not? Are there drivers anywhere for this or it is simply not supported and I need to buy an alternative solution?

Plugged into my laptop Windows 7 64 bit and no problems.

Someone else had the same problem?

    Hello

Unfortunately, there is no other software by download.
I checked the driver page Toshiba in the Options area but didn't find anything

AFAIK it of a plug & play HARD drive if you n t need any software to recognize the HARD drive

    There may be a password.
    Try this:
Connect your HARD drive to the computer when the HARD drive is working
Select the CD drive with your browser (password)
    Run the ONSPCLCK.exe
    Select 'Options '.
    Select "Disable security password"
    Enter your current password
    Unplug the HARD drive
    connect the HARD drive

Now, it will work, but with no password protection. Perhaps it would work
