Equim P200: Vista 64 bit freezes randomly

Hi if someone could help I would be very grateful. I recently bought the p200 equim only to find from time to time it crashes without warning. I can do anything to work on the desktop or browsing the internet where all of a sudden the screen is empty and then I get grey and black lines.

I then reboot the system where I get the screen mode without failure or normal startup. It of very frustrating and has been like that since the day I bought the thing in March 2008.

Can anyone advise what could be the cause of the problem and how can I fix...
I'm starting to get very annoyed with the situation and I was wondering why I never decided to buy this system.

I installed toshiba tempo alerts and no alerts to date have been consistent with the 64-bit system.

I guess that this laptop was preinstalled with Vista 32 bit and you have installed the 64 bit version of your own hands. Am I wrong?

Have you checked if the same problem occurs using the OS preinstalled Toshiba?

Your description sounds to me like a problem of compatibility of the system maybe some installed applications are not fully compatible with Vista 64 bit.

However, a malfunction of memory could also be possible
But as you can see really not easy to say what is causing these accidents

    You get the error message?

Step 1: Disconnect all external devices (printers, scanner, USB (universal serial bus) readers, etc...)  Except the keyboard and mouse and then start.

    Any help appreciated.

    Hello

Random freezes without stop errors are almost always related to the material. Start by running a diagnostic of the ram, which is integrated or third party like memtest86 or doc-memory. If you are able to exclude from the ram and then check the hard disk with a manufacturer's diagnostic utility. In addition, for devices such as the motherboard, processor and power supply, requires swapping parts checked to isolate the component of the problem.

  • Hello, my HP a6500f pc. 500 GB, 4096 ram.vista 64-bit freezes and unresponsive

    Hello

As the test of memory produces an error, I would propose to remove one of the memory modules (I believe that the PC has 2 x 2 GB Modules) and see if you still get this freezing problem.  If you do, try the same Module, but in the other slot on the motherboard.  If the problem persists, try the same procedure but with just the other module inserted Ram - see if all these combinations will allow the PC to function normally.

The procedure to access the Ram Modules can be found on the link below.

  • Bad SD card format has been reported on Satellite P200 - Vista 32 bit

The player card on my laptop seems to have stopped working. I checked the Device Manager and there is no warning in there. I reinstalled the Flashmedia driver just to be sure and rebooted but still no joy.

The map seems to be recognized to some extent as Windows Explorer shows 'SD Card (f)', but in the management of the computer-> Storage-> disk management F: appears as 23,78 GB of unallocated space... which is rather strange, because it's a 1 GB SD card.

The only major updates (other than Windows Update), I've done since Christmas (when I finally remember how the map works) was to install the update of the BIOS 2.50 a.,

Anyone know of any issued with this BIOS version and card readers?

Sorry buddy but I don t see any SD card problems!
The SD card has been recognized in windows (My Computer) and seems to work correctly. The size of the SD card seems to be reported wrong
    Is this good?

I recommend to format the SD card using the Toshiba tool (if pre-installed) and then you can check the size of SD card in the SD card properties.

  • Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit - freezes when playing

    Core i7 920 CPU
    8 GB Ram
    ASUS GTX285 graphics Card

I had Vista Business 64 bit on for 9 months large runnning
I play Call of Duty 4 and 5 - which, with Vista, went very well with all the settings of high
I installed Windows 7 ult 64 bit without material change and then play COD 4 or 5 he began to randomly freeze the system and the only thing I could do was shut down the system by holding the power button in.
Sometimes the game would go for fine 2 hours that other times she would freeze after about 20 min of (sometimes as fast as 5 minutes in the game)
I tried to adjust the graphics in the game in low heat
replaced HARD drive of (good excuse to get some old replaced HARD disk)
I set up a dual monitor on the computer and run hardware monitor to check the time that the game was running - everything seemed fine, but every now and then as it froze it would give me a blue screen with the following error:

A clock to interrupt not received on a secondary processor in the allotted time interval.

    0 x 00000101 00000000000000 x 0 x 0 000000000000000019 0xfffff88002f63180 0 x 0000000000000002

what I did in the end is reinstalled Vista on a second partition so I could dualboot and reinstalled the games.

so under the same hardware with the same software installed Vista 64 bit is fine and Windows 7 64 bit freezes randomly when you play

I regularly update the two BONES and my bios is also updated - latest drivers for the graphics card installed

everyone had the same problems and know of any way to solve this problem?

    Morley71,
In addition to update your video card driver, you must make sure that all hardware components have installed drivers Windows 7.  Check for audio, NIC, chipset, etc...  and make sure they are all drivers of version of Windows 7.  Mike - Engineer Support Microsoft Answers

OK, this is really starting to annoy me, and I would be very grateful if anyone can solve this problem for me. Well since I had my HP Pavilion Vista 32-Bit seems "randomly Lag" occasionally. For example, I'd be right on the web, and then all the computer slows down as the office. Windows and the programs seem to start to take longer to open. I reccently got a video card Nvidia GTS 250 for the game but still lags. But the strangest thing is that this problem occurs randomly. The problem seems to stop and then "randomly comes back" to happen to my PC. So far, my solution is to leave the computer alone or just leave it turned off. But the other day I left 3 days straight and did not help a bit. It was a month ago, but it was very strange. Now, he seems to be doing more often. (I do not add or download new programs recently)
It really bothers me, and I stopped buying games for my cause of PC that I rarely have the opportunity to play their cause of this problem. I know I did not describe my great problem but can someone help me please?

  • Equim P200: Should what BIOS I use 32 or 64 bits?

I have a portable Equim P200 and I want to update the BIOS after receiving an alert that recommends updating the Tempo Toshiba software.

I downloaded the update to the BIOS, but when I unzip the zip file, it gives a 32-bit version and a 64-bit version.
I use Windows Vista Home I think it is 32-bit, but my laptop has an AMD Athlon 64 X 2 microprocessor.
Can someone tell me what version I should use please?

If I had to choose, I'd go for 64-bit being if think the BIOS is material and my 64-bit microprocessor.

    Thanks in advance, Mark.

    Hello

If you have Vista 32-bit, then you must use the 32-bit BIOS.

If you have purchased a version of Vista 64-bit, then you should use the 64-bit version of BIOS ;)

Avast and Prevx proved extremely reliable and compatible with all I have

reliable and compatible. Use MSE or Avast and Prevx, Prevx 3 but not all.

Avast Home free - stop any shields is not necessary except leave the file system, Web,.
Operational network (Script and behavior are also recommended in Ver 6 +).

    Prevx - Home - free

    Windows Firewall

Windows Defender (is not necessary if you use MSE)

I also IE always start with asset if filter InPrivate IE 8.
(It may temporarily turn off with the little icon to the left of the + bottom
    right of IE)

Two versions of Avast are available 6.x and 4.8 x

Avast - home - free - 6.x stop shields you do not use (except files, Web, network, &)
Shields of behavior) - double click on the icon in the Notification area - real time Orange - click on the

Or use Microsoft Security Essentials - free

Prevx works well alongside MSE or Avast

Prevx - Home - free - small, fast, exceptional CLOUD protection, working with the other security

  • Equium P200 1IR running Vista 32-bit Home - no WiFi

I have a Toshiba Equium P200 1IR running Vista 32-bit Home with a wifi problem. The wifi adapter is an Atheros AR5007EG.

I removed the battery and reset the BIOS, I removed the adapter from the list of Device Manager and reinstalled, I updated the driver and restarted the laptop.
I can see some time the wifi router and sometimes I can't. If I can see my router named it will connect to it.

Sometimes, he will not recognize the router but when I use the Toshiba wifi doctor and run the radar feature, you can see the router but it does not show in the network and sharing Center, although I can see on the radar option.

Then try to run the ini file as described on the page of the European driver Toshiba.

Why not??? Satellite P200 - 1 K 9 belongs to the series of PSPB6E and according to the page of Toshiba Europe, all Vista 64-bit drivers are available.

But I don't think you will see a performance gain by using a 64-bit version of Vista.
To be honest, I would Setup not 64-bit because of the compatibility problems with some 3rd party applications.

I have no experience with Vista 64 bit, but with XP 64 bit version and I can tell you that I had a lot of problems with my 3rd software because it was designed for 32 bit OS.

But finally it s your own decision

    Greetings mate

  • The mouse freezes randomly at the start of Vista PC

Once a week, when I start my PC from a cold start or when I do a reboot for some reason, I find that the mouse pointer freezes in the middle of the screen.  There is no pattern as to when this happens.  Sometimes this will happen twice a day.  Sometimes, it will not happen for several days.  But it will happen eventually.  I have to use the Tab key to scroll to close off the computer; After I turn it back on it is generally acceptable.  (A time-out of a hundred of the mouse is still frozen and I repeat the process.)  I use Vista 32 bit and a HP Media Center PC.  Ideas or suggestions how to solve this problem?

    Abdoulaye Jabba the Hut,

Thanks for posting on the Microsoft answers Forum,

If the startup not found repair help with your question or if you have not tried the option of recovery yet, you might want to look at this information in another forum.

It's a question of Logitech Setpoint... by John.Wilkinson -5/3/08 08:02 in response to: mouse and music freeze Vista
I have a Logitech Desktop computer call easy and have encountered the same thing. After trying some generic drivers, different keyboard/mouse, etc. I discovered that the problem with audio driver delivered with record 4.00BR. (Your mouse takes Setpoint 4.40, but I guess there is a similar issue.) From time to time the driver will be glitch while a sound is played, leading all other devices related to the set value (in my case mouse and keyboard stop working. In my case I uninstalled the Setpoint software, manually removed all Logitech keyboard/mouse/sound drivers via Device Manager, and then reinstalled and solve the problem itself. In your case, if you do not have a Logitech sound system, you should be able to solve the problem simply by manually deleting these Logitech audio drivers and reboot, then updates driver for your sound card from the website of the manufacturer of the sound card.

I found a lot of people have had this problem and uninstall setpoint helped solve the problem. It would be interesting to try.

  • Screen freezes randomly (Macbook Pro retina 13 inches early 2015)

MacBook Pro (retina, 13 inches, early 2015)

OS X Version of El Capitan 10.11.4

Processor: Intel Core i5 at 2.9 GHz

    Memory: 8 GB 1867 MHz DDR3

Graphics card: Intel Graphics Iris 6100 1536 MB

I bought this MacBook on the Apple store online a year ago, and I must say it has been a very reliable machine up to now. It starts way faster that any laptop I have ever used before.

However, recently to update my OS on the 10.11.4 version, my screen freezes randomly. The keyboard and trackpad are both unresponsive.  Closing the cover does nothing either, since the macbook won't sleep normally as it would be. The only solution I had was to hold down the power button to force it to close.  This has been extremely frustrating and made me lose valuable data too.  I ran the Diagnostics of Apple and the only error seems to be the battery issue. It has been said, however, that it should not affect the performance of the computer.

If someone has encountered this problem, great tips, thank you would be much appreciated!

Hey, I bought the same macbook 6 months ago, the macbook had several recurring problems, graphic and audio glitches, what happened was, sometimes (for watching movies, or playing games) the screen went black with a red line on the left side of the screen, then after 2-3 seconds screen is returned to normal, and then there was a glitch-audio distortion that attaches after 10 seconds - 1 min.

I have tried to solve this problem, because to the 4months, 2 authorized repair shops are rendered as well an apple store, they told me that the tests have said everything was perfect, they failed to reproduce this problem, and that is probably a software problem, it wasn't, because I did everything to eliminate the risk that this was a clean install os software problem to use different browsers, readers different flash etc.

About a month and a half my macbook froze for the first time exactly like yours, frozen screen, slider became unresponsive, caps lock light insensitive, trackpad locked (didn t click), closing the screen was always on the apple logo. I did exactly what you were doing, forced to shutdown by pressing the power button.

I was furious, thinking that this is an escalation of the hardware failure and he was in awe of this next step is to "die".

The next time he "froze" again, I went to the apple store nearby with the macbook in a frozen state and demanded that they fix it, I insisted the guy writes it down and describe the exact condition of the macbook was when I took it to them, and he said that they will run tests and see When I tell him that it is the "millionth" time test you my macbook, he said, that even if the tests show nothing they will replace the logic board, we signed a "service record" who says that they will replace the logic board and the battery and for the first time that I was happy they will finally fix.

I was wrong, they called me a week later and say we took some tests and everything is ok, it was the last straw, I did not pick up the macbook and said that I will not pick up unless they fix it.

Next day I went to the store and made a big fuzz, saying: I have contacted the Ombudsman, and I'll still take legal action if they didn't fixed it the next day.

Next day I went and they had replaced the logic board so the top-case with battery.

The reason I say this is, their support at least in my case, it was terrible to the point that I preferred to throw the macbook in the trash and never look back, you can't really imagine how long it took me to convince to repair or replace, for 4months I was on the phone or online chat and was flowing like a ball from one to the other.

If you are still under warranty, go directly to the apple store and request a fix, when I say request, do not be polite, don't bite on phrases like "we will do everything, so you won't have to come back again," go aggressive mode, because at least in my case, be polite did not help, the best thing would be, when it freezes again not turn off it take it straight to the apple store.

Another thing is, I had a battery problem when running the diagnostics, whenever I gave it to them they said oh "battery is ok, sometimes the tests fail," my argument? If the tests fail how do you rely on them...

Go and demand, it is their responsibility to fix, 3 and a half months being polite is not done, I'm aggressive and stares at me in 1 week.

    Good luck
