Hello...
has contacted world pc on battery. They said I have to buy a new 1 because they are classified as consumable items, even if the laptop is still under warranty
Toshiba do anything on the battery?
Can you please check the warranty on http://www.toshiba-tro.de/unitdetails and post the info on the guarantee?

After a recent accident I had rebooted my Equium A210, and now it does not start. The power light turns on and nothing else happens. There is no display on the monitor, not even the start screen opens. I tried to restart on battery and power. The operating system is Windows Vista Home Premium.
Hello
There is perhaps a bit of luck to start the laptop again.
Remove the battery and unplug the AC adapter from the laptop.Wait about 30 minutes and then reconnect the two parts.
Finally try to power the laptop by pressing the power button. If she won't help your last chance would be the ASP.
The Toshiba certified maintainer would be able to help you
Good luck

Equium A210: broken screen
Hello
I have an Equium A210 and yesterday when I turned it on the bottom of the screen was broken.
You can see the ink where it broke.
I went back to where I bought it (his only 2mths old) and they won't do anything about it because that's not covered and I rang the Bell and will cost nearly 400.Is this happen to someone because he has not been abandoned, and nothing fell on her. Help!
Thank you
ShirleyHello
I have a laptop A210. It s not a satellite, but a series of satellites.
However, the two are very similar, and to my knowledge that the same plastic covers and TFT screen are part of the laptop.I can close and open the upper cover easily
So I can't believe that an internal screen damage itself without resorting to force or to fix a heavy object on the lid of the laptop. In any case, agree with Marina and it turns out that the ASP must check the laptop to make sure of what actually happened.
So, check the path shown above and contact the ASP in your country for a manipulation of the Fryer.
Bye and mate good luck

Re: Equium A210-1AS - blue screen and cannot start
My computer was working fine, I stopped him, the next time I start up, it shows windows loading screen, then a second a blue screen flashes by, it restarts and repeats, I stopped and began to tap F8 until the advanced boot options appears, safemode ect... None of them work and lead all the blue screen If I select the repair option at the top 'Repair your computer' it begins to load with a background of vista and a cursor and then displays the error "the installed program cannot start. Click OK to turn off the computer. »
in Advanced Startup Options that I try "disable automatic restart in the event of system failure" and the rest of the blue screen to the top, so I can see, it shows an error on usual blue screen, read:
UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME
STOP: 0X000000ED (0X85DDA600, 0 X 0000000, 0XC000009C, 0 X 0000000)I don't have a recovery CD, as I believe, there is a recovery partition, but I don't know how to access it-
I use Equium A210-1AS
Part number: PSAFJE-005005KS
Windows vista 32 bitThank you
I know know that the recovery partition is consulted theough 'Repair your computer' but shows just "the installed program cannot start. Click OK to turn off the computer. » :/

Black screen suddenly on Equium A210-17i
The screen on my Equium A210-17i will sometimes just completely black, although always backlit. This happens usually when the computer is left on during a fairly long period of time (tonight after 3 hours) when using it.
When it happened tonight I just internet browsing. It's happened several times, and the only way to recover whatever it is is to turn off the computer with the power button. My friend who also has the same laptop also has the same problem, and although it occurs about once a week, it's always boring. All solutions?
It s certainly nothing wrong with you material
I read that this problem could be related to Windows Vista bugs tooThen all first of all you need to update the Vista for the last State.
Then check the driver for graphics card for updates and * then you must update the BIOS if a newer version * is availableGreetings mate

Equium A210 - after update BIOS problems connect to MSN Live Messenger
Hello
I just installed the latest update of the Bios for my Equium A210, as has been the first time results attempted this \i watched carefully and everything seems to go correctly but the laptop is restarted, it beeps and showed a checksum error, I chose the option to reboot with 'Default settings'
Since that I got problems to connect to MSN Live Messenger and I wondered if this might be something to do with the Bios Update, it is also possible to 'come back' to the old Bios somehow?
Thank you
LeeHello
your question isn't really a related problem of the machine. The "Checksum Error" is normal after each update BIOS since the checksum of the BIOS which consists the BIOS settings and the version of the BIOS is not correct due to a modified version of BIOS.
So, the next time that you update your BIOS you will get a "BIOS checksum error" again. Worry not Don t, it s nothing serious. With regard to your Messenger:
1. uninstall the Messenger
2. download the latest version from the MSN site
3. install a new
4. have funWelcomes ;)

Equium A210 - error - operating system not found
Hi guys
I'm new on this Yes, you can be sweet. I have an Equium A210, 2 years old.
Everything was fine until today when it goes off.I thought that it might overheat because he felt hot so cool.
When I turned it back I get the error "Operating system"... not found This is accompanied by a constant clicking noise coming from under the laptop!Any ideas anyone?
Thank you very much
This error is known to me.
I had too!It appeared after the death of my HARD drive.
I think the BIOS does not recognize the HARD drive and therefore the operating system is not found.
To me, it seems that you need to replace the HARD drive and then you could install the OS on the Toshiba recovery disc.
Good bye

Equium A210 - Coke in the keyboard
Hi everyone;
I just bought an Equium A210 - 171; but buy accident, I spilled Coke on the keyboard. I tried to clean up, even simple buttons, it works but all the buttons are always so sticky, hard disliked the original more.
Someone knows how to fix this problem or where to buy a new keyboard for it?
Thank you very much
Hello
The problem is that coke contains a lot of sugar and I really don't think that you can clean it in the bathtub. ;)
The replacement is the best solution. -
Equium A210 - excessive noise when using an amplifier
Hi all. I have a Toshiba Satellite A210, and when I plug it into an amp via the headphone jack, I have excessive "noise" through the amp. This only happens when I use the external power supply. If I'm running on batteries it is OK, but it's not good if I need to use it for an entire evening.
Any other PC works fine through an amp. What is a 'feature' of Toshiba or can I do something?
If I remember right here in this forum that several people have reported to this topic. I'm not 100% sure but I think you need new AC adapter.
Your adapter is connected to power with 2 or 3 pin power cable? -
Question about the power of the battery on Equium A210-1AS
Hello...
the battery on my Equium A210-1as life is supposed to be around 2 and a half hour but it s more in 20 minutes.
No idea why? That sounds like a bad battery.
I think that Windows displays a fully charged battery or not loading stops at XX %?If your laptop is still under warranty, go to a local ASP and allow your battery to change.
If your computer laptop doesn t have guaranteed, an ASP may also make a bid for a new battery. This part doesn't have to be so expensive.

Equium A210-17I do not start - how to access password protected HDD?
My Equium A210-17I (model: PSAFJE) died recently and I'm trying to recover the contents of the hard drive.
I hope that I can just put the drive into another laptop and start (either by using the player itself or a Live CD). Unfortunately, when I put the drive in another machine, it prompts me for a password HDD/SSD but say that the password is incorrect.
Anyone have any ideas? The Equium stores a version coded the password or something?
Any help would be appreciated.
What I've tried so far:
1 put the drive in Toshiba Satellite C655. Request password and after 3 wrong attempts to stop.
2. put the disc into the Compaq 610. Request of password and after 2 attempts to let me Live CD boot. However, once started, the drive is not visible at all (disabled by BIOS).
3. with all the variations of portable password input - completed by zeros, dashes, spaces, etc.. Uppercase, backward, etc..
In what concerns the attempts to revive the satellite (so I can remove the hard drive password):
When it is plugged in, power and load front lights.
When lit, the logo turns on, the fan turns and can also hear the hard drive.
Then there's just in this State.
No display, no beeps, no lights on the keyboard.Tried to start after removing the hard drive and CD-ROM drive. Also tried without the installed memory. All the same result.
Thanks for your help.
> Unfortunately, when I put the drive in another machine, it prompts me for a password HDD/SSD but say that the password is incorrect.
It seems that the HARD drive has been guaranteed by a HARD drive password.
Mate sorry but this password cannot be deleted if you n t know the password.Usually to remove the HARD drive password, you must put the HARD drive in the Toshiba laptop, have access the BIOS and there is an option called HARD drive password which allows you to remove the HARD drive KNOWN password.

Equium A210 starts with error - PXE - E61 Media test failure
Trying to help a friend that we think that the laptop has been damaged by the virus Exploit.Drop.G... All I could think and decided as a last resort to execute tried suggested wipe drive. This succeeded and I thought I'd be able to reinstall Vista from the disc, but I get the above error message. The laptop is a Toshiba Equium A210-1VO (model PSAF5E-001005KS number).
I noticed once before when using this laptop CD/DVD could not play DVD I tried all tips disassembling upper and lower filters etc, but could not solve this problem (which was pre virus). When I boot on utilities system that she admit HDD like Hitachi-(S1), optical disc drive: TSSTcorpCD/DVGW TS-L632D, and says total memory 2048 MB system BIOS version 1.60.
Totally stuck now, any advice/help would be much appreciated.
I think for some reason any HDD is not recognized as a boot device.
Start your laptop and press F12 repeatedly to enter the boot options.
He put original recovery disk or the ODD Microsoft installation disk when startup options are displayed on the screen.
Choose the CD/DVD as a boot device and press ENTER.What happens when you do this?
A few days ago, I had a similar question about friends A300. HARD drive was defective. After Exchange of HARD drive, I was able to install Win.

Hello!
The CD/DVD drive is listed in Device Manager? You see an error code?
If the drive is listed in Device Manager, you should try to remove it, and then restart the laptop.Try to load the default settings in the BIOS.
Have you tried to remove the upper and lower filters by yourself? Here is the solution from Microsoft:
