ENVY 17 t-J100 Leap Fingerprint reader seeing Motion?

My brother has the motion of non-saut ENVY 17 t-J000. And he has a LED indicator to the left of the sensor fingerprint that lights in white or orange when you drag your finger. Which is really nice to know that it has detected your finger when you think that nothing is happening.

But I just got the Motion Leap of his laptop computer version, and I don't see any LEDS light up when I slide my finger. The sensor works well though.

So my question is, can confirm one that this model has or that there is no LED indicator as the motion of non-saut feel LIKE? I don't want to lose time to call HP if this model does not have the LED indicator. But if he does, I need to have the unit repaired or replaced before I get it all together at the top.

Weird that it is not displayed, here's an imgur link, in case you still want to see

I've seen non - Leap Motion want and it is similar, as you say. Really weird that it does not work, especially since you said that the fingerprint reader itself works. I hope you have better luck with the replacement!

    Hello

    The short answer is no.

On your system type, the gpu from Intel is always used to render the view final, regardless of whether the discrete Nvidia chip is used for the treatment or non-graphical.

    Hello

My best advice would be to get the machine replaced - the only thing that you can try everything first (if you haven't done so already) is to apply the latest update of the Bios on the following link.  This update is running Windows 7 or Windows 8.1.

  • ENVY 17 t-J100 Leap Motion: keyboard backlit ENVY 17 t-J100 Leap Motion edition shuts down after each power down.

My brother has an ENVY 17 t-J000 Quad Edition. Only about 6 months. Its backlit keyboard remembers its state of on or off when it reboots or off. When he turns on his laptop back, the keyboard is always if it's him on when he turned off the laptop.

I just got the ENVY 17 t-J100 Leap Motion backilt keyboard edition. But every time that I reboot or shutdown with the backlight on, it is turned off when I have the laptop or reset. So whenever I have to re - turn on the backlight. Very annoying.

Anyone else with the jump movement 17 t-J100 having this problem? If so, I hope it's fixed soon. I also can't update the Nvidia drivers then perhaps we need a BIOS update to solve these two problems.

I just checked to be sure. It turns off if the laptop is turned off and turned on then again - but if I just restart the kbd is running.

  • HP ENVY 17 t-j100 Leap Motion QE Notebook PC Port HDMI highest video resolution

What is the maximum video resolution that can be supported with the HDMI output of the GeForce GT 750 M graphics card? I get a new "HP ENVY 17 t-j100 Leap Motion QE Notebook PC (ENERGY STAR)" as a guarantee of replacement for an older PC and new PC has only a HDMI connector for an external monitor. The GeForce GT 750 M graphics card will come with 4096 MB memory installed in it. I considering buying a series ASUS PB278Q LCD monitor and would like to know if its resolution 2560 x 1440 WQHD input is supported by Geforce GT 750 M graphics card. The entrance to the Asus monitor is HDMI version 1.4. As I understand it, if the PC's HDMI output is version 1.3 or later, it should be able to handle up to a 2560 x 1600 resolution monitor.

I received my replacement 'HP ENVY 17 t-j100 Leap Motion QE Notebook PC (ENERGY STAR)' PC and found that I was able to use my monitor 27 '' Dell in its resolution full 1920 x 1200 with a HDMI to DVI cable - D. The cable I used was an AmazonBasics HDMI to DVI adapter cable (9.8 feet/3.0 meters), I bought from Amazon.com for $7.99, http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001TH7T2U/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. I still have not been able to confirm the maximum resolution that can be financed by this PC, but either I have to upgrade to a new monitor because I can use my existing at its full resolution.

Recently I formatted my laptop after returning from Windows 10. Unfortunately, I had to do it through hard-wiping instead of software reset or rollback. Now, I can't get my fingerprint reader to work. I found almost all the drivers for my laptop via this Web site and tool for detection of HP model except for the fingerprint reader and its software (SimplePass), which is weird because I downloaded the installer of the driver on this site once the detection tool has led me to the page. How can I get that back?

I wonder if your system is an upgrade (Windows 8 for Windows 8.1); There is no a SimplePass program listed for the OS Windows 8.1.  Upgrades can be tricky - SimplePass runs very well on a system upgrade, and then - poof!  Not-so-good.  IF your OS is an upgrade, the following may or may not be as useful - however, we invite you to take a look at the following and I hope it helps.

  • HP Envy 15-j140na: HP SimplePass fingerprint reader incentive is not to connect

    Hello

I just bought the HP Envy 15-j140na sound of HP. The laptop is fantastic, but I'm having a problem with the fingerprint reader. The computer comes with the simplepass 8.00.57 already installed the version of the software.

The problem I have, is that once I implemented the simple passage fingerprint reader, it lead me to analyze my impression when connecting windows and I have to log on normally. I checked all the settings and it should be implemented, however there is no prompt. Just to emphasize that everything works fine. I can't sign in Web sites on IE no problem at all using the fingerprint reader. It can be a little frustrating because it goes against the interest of having a fingerprint reader.

Any help to operate would be greatly apprecieted,

    Bravo guys.

    HI @vdolcourt,

    Thank you for your query.

I seized you fingerprint reader was working fine but suddenly stopped.

You did it all change hardware or software because he worked? You did all your Windows updates?

You have the last validity sensor driver installed. The HP Support Assistant can help you in this process.  Here is a link for HP Notebook PCs - troubleshooting a (Windows 8) fingerprint reader. The steps should be the same for Windows 10.    Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the driver?

My fingerprint reader has stopped working.  It is a validity sensors (WBF) (PID = 0018). I then checked the "General tab" which had the following message now, "this hardware device is not connected to the computer.
