Eror to create the isolated network VDC Org network

Hello comrades,.

Im trying to create a network isolated to a paralytic, but I have this strange error. I found a few 'googleing' solutions but nothing works for me.

Any idea? IM using vCloud Director 5.6.4 with ESXi 5.5 updated 3 and vShield 5.5.4.

I enclose a picture by deleting the sensitive designation.

  • Failed to create the external network

    Hi all.

Well, I have deployed VIO with NSX. I created 2 virtual machines (instances) with 2 internal networks. I created router, plugged on both networks. Tried to ping of vm1 (int_net1) to the virtual machine 2 (int_net2) through router - everything works fine.

So, the next step was to provide access to Internet of the virtual machines. I try to create the shape of external network Admin-> Control Panel-> network-> network create system:

    Name: extnet1

    Project: MyProject

Type of network provider: dish (deployment master I chose NSX environment and VLANs separated to outside networks)

    Admin State: checked

    External network: checked

When I press the button "Create network" an error has occurred: ""Error: failed to create the extnet1 network '. " How can I create external network?

Thank you all for help. I solved my problem. For the future: you can only use "PortGroup" in Type of network provider. So when I chose PortGroup and set it to the external network 'dvportgroup-XX' have been created.

  • Understand the Options on vDC Org Network Wizard

I'm trying to understand how to create my vDC org network.  I have a dashboard for the org device and I want to create an org NAT network was behind the gateway.

The first screen of the wizard is obvious, but the second 'Network Configuration' screen has some things I don't understand.

    (1) the gateway address?  What is c?  I guess that means the NIC inside on the edge, but how do I know this is as intellectual property.  I do not think that I have configured or something.  The evaluation guide that I'm following shows 10.0.0.1 for this... it's an arbitrary choice?  This is the default value?

    (2) a static range of IP addresses?

Once again the assessment guide shows the distribution of 100-199 customers in the 10.x.x.x network, but I don't know if it's a defect?  Or simply a placeholder?  How to decide what to wear?

    Thanks in advance,

    Chad

Technically, there are 3 types of network Org (really 2 and which is a variation on both).

    1 direct external Org network

If you put a virtual computer on it, it goes straight to the external network.  It takes an IP address of the external pool and happening just with her.

    2 isolated Org network

You basically 'make up' a network.  This will not have external access... If you attach a virtual machine to the network, it can communicate with any other VM on this exact network.

    3 routed Org network

It's like #2, but with a vShield gateway that would be created.  This vShield edge would fill the functions of your "default gateway".  Think of this as a great private network, or a massive NAT from n to 1.

If you just want to give a lot of people internet access, you can make virtual computers here and do a firewall rule to allow all outbound traffic and put it in a single IP address (that would come from your external network).

RE: 1 - it is a value within the network you define.  Let's say we want as our gateway to be 10.150.10.1 on a 23... When you create it from the bridge that will take an IP address internal network of 10 -.150.10.1

RE: 2 - it is just a range to assign the MV, put on the network.  say 10.150.10.100 - 10.150.254.  These will become IPs vCloud will delegate to the NETWORK card of the computer virtual they are created.

  • Cannot create the vCloud Director VDC

    Hi all

Need help with my proof of concept of vCloud implementation Director. running on 5.1 vCloud Director unit. Just to give you an idea, I followed the VMware vCloud Director 5.1 Assessment Guide that we find on the VMware Web site.

Note: My setup does not contane VXLAN although we have the network VLAN supported to improve network performance.  Of the vExpert mentioned to create a dummy VXLAN right in the vCloud Director and I'm not sure how to do this in vCloud Director console. (I noticed a default VXLAN is already created, I understand vCloud 5.1 has this feature is enabled by default)

Installation succeeded in creating the Org VDC failed with error 'cannot create the VDC' found this disabling and re activation will release the Red 'X' I think it's false positive because it shows us that everything is perfect even if we get an error message in the logs ' status: error "and with" details: Internal Server Error' find the home images below.

" In any case when it comes to download media after having created the catalogue for Org VDC we get the error message cannot complete the operation because the current organization VDC"Demo-Org-VDC"is disabled or is not ready '.

I also noticed that we get an error message on vcenter Server vcloud (cell) cannot create the folder name already exists check the last my vcenter Server error message.

also attached the logs in the images below.

I found two post, which there is not yet of resolution and the other said its solved but does not have the fix.

Any help to point me in the right direction will be appreciated.

I will be happy to provide you with newspapers if necessary.

    Thank you

    Ibrahim

I was not talking about data warehouses.  I refer to the view in the vSphere Client.

Open the vSphere Client... and go to the computers view models and virtual (c# = Home button at the top, then models and virtual computers)

In this perspective, there is a number of record Blue icons. Make sure that none have the same name as you describe.

This is directly related to the error message in the client image vSphere that you took in the original post "cannot create folder. "PNG"

vCloud produces an error because of something that happens in vCenter.

  • Time capsule and extreme; Cannot create the roaming network

Problem: when you try to create a network roaming with time capsule and extreme, the wifi hangs and the network is up and down. Here are my deets:

TC and extreme as well have the latest firmware of the 7.7.7 are the latest generation of products, purchased in the last 12 months

TC is connected to Arris SB6183

ISP is Cox North san diego County

TC is then connected to the netgear GS105. (upstairs)

NETGEAR GS105 then connects to GS108 (down in the patch panel in the closet of the master bedroom)

    1 x GS108 port connects to extreme

I can get the stable network and works correctly as long as I don't have connected and extreme.

I followed the instructions provided by apple in their "how to set up a roaming network.

I have hard reset the devices apple repeatedly in my attempt to get things to work

I started a Wan shortly ago at the connected WiFi and that was stable and work for not more than 30 minutes and then it went offline.

So here I am now. Unable to get back online and stable with two apple devices connected network.

System was stable and working well before the upgrade to 7.7.7. I had a wifi connected network not a roaming network at the time.

Any suggestion would be great and really appreciated.

    Thank you

After screenshots of the TC and AE installing airport utility.

I suspect that you simply have something set wrong...

Main error is to use extend wireless when it is connected by ethernet... This will create a loop and bring down the network.

The two units must be defined to create a wireless network... both must use the same name (SSID) and the same password, but must be set to different channels.

It is almost impossible in this case crashing the network since the two are completely independent Wireless Access Points... (WAP).

The TC must be in router mode... EI must be in the bridge (bridge mode off on the network tab.)

  • Cannot create the pool network

When you try to create a PvDC, I get an error in UI vCD which says 'could not be created.  I drilled down into the error and shows the explanation below.  I also checked the - news and newspapers of debugging on both cells in this environment and they just declare the same data.  When you look on the side of the VSM in this puzzle, the "extended network" seems to have been created no problem for this new PvDC.

Error response VSM (100): id to load is required for loading. nested exception is java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: id to load is required for loading

Someone noticed on the things to check?

There were obsolete entries in the database POSSIBLE vCD caught on during the creation process.  Engineering once deleted the obsolete entries, a repair on the PvDC and/or a recreation of the PvDC enabled the creation of network pool to cross.

  • Base station disappeared after creating the guest network

After you activate a burst network 2 things happened:

    (1) my original network is always visible, but you can not connect and it does not work.

    (2) all devices of the airport, including the base station have disappeared from the Airport utility.

I can connect to the network invited near the base unit as expected. As all devices have green LEDs. However, I can't on the main network. And I can't do anything to solve that devices are not visible in the Airport utility.

    Help!

The 'main' and 'guest' characteristic of network work properly If the right type of modem is used to enable these services.  That would mean a simple modem, as in the example you see just below:

The main and guest feature will not work properly if you have a modem/router, also known as a gateway, as in the example below, which is the type of device that has a number of ISPs providing to their customers.

Therefore, the first troubleshooting question here would be.. .what type of "modem" you?

If you don't know what kind of modem you have, please post back with the number of brand and model of the device that you call your modem. (Please do not distribute private information, such as a serial number).

Next question... base stations AirPort how do you have?

Finally... to fix things, it may be necessary to connect your Mac directly to each base station by using a wired Ethernet cable... Since Wireless will not provide access to the settings on the airport using AirPort Utility if things are messy. Your Mac has an Ethernet port?

  • Unable to create the new network former TC

    Hello

So I have the current generation of TC acting as a router as well as a HDD on my old to wide wireless broadband. I experienced some problems with connectivity recently (where my MacAir shows that I am connected to the internet, but no matter what site I try to access everything simply does not load and ends up with a progression of Ribbon on the address bar of Safari-turn off and turn on the power back constantly solves the problem), but this is not what I am asking today. Recently, I had the new optical fiber internet for my house and got a new modem and everything has been installed. Only one of the four ports in the modem seems to work, but at least it works. The D-link router that came with it works fine, but I want to use my TC as the router instead. However, whenever I connect the TC on the working port, I am unable to connect. Airport utility, the lights of TC in green but 'Internet' is yellow, i.e. does not work correctly. It should be a problem with the TC because the D-link router works on the same port and connection ethernet via a thunderbolt on the same port adapter works perfectly fine as well.

Is this a problem with the old settings on my TC being incompatible with the new network? Please advise, thank you very much!

There are at least 2 different issues at stake here and possibly 3.

A question is that whenever you change the modem or the router that connects the TC, or your provider of Internet services, the TC must be reset back to settings by default, and then set it up again to work properly with the new product and the new service.

You don't mention how old your 'old' Time Capsule can be, but 3 years is on the average life of the time Capsule, if anything more than 3 years will be suspicious where reliable operation.

The third possible cause is that only a single port of your modem/router works when the four should work. If this is a real problem here, we can't say, but you have to wonder a little about the reliability of a product that doesn't seem to work properly

  • Create separate isolated networks & fill with VM?

I remember in a previous version of VMware workstation, you might create separate networks (false) and fill with the virtual computer.  Of course the VM could not see outside that network, but for testing purposes, it was great.

I suspect a similar functionality is present in ESXi 5, but for the life of me I can't understand it.  If someone can point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it.

Of course, it will work for a single subnet if you add this uplink directly connected to the vSwitch.

If you need to move beyond that subnet, you will need a virtual router to act as a gateway.

  • Computer for the connectiion network settings

I have a problem with my laptop to connect to the internet. When I go to connect to a network, my home network have a red X on it and the message says that "settings saved on the computer for the network do not match the requirements of the network. I think that someone clicked on something here while trying to connect to a network. How can I fix it? Thank you

    Hello NETTE101002,

To add to what Al Jarvi said, I suggest that you turn off any wireless security feature. Please, click on start-> Control Panel, double-click network connections, right-click on the wireless adapter and select Properties. From there choose wireless networks, click the name of your wireless network and choose Properties. Under network authentication, select open to disable wireless security. Please try to connect.

If the problem persists, I suggest that you remove the connection and re-create the wireless network connections. The following Web site can help you on the creation of the wireless connection.

Here is an article that will give you steps on how to create a network connection:

    http://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb878035.aspx

Alternatively, you can try to reset the settings of the default router. You must contact the manufacturer of the router to do this.

  • How to associate a VM for the second network adapter on the host

    Hello

I have created a virtual machine and added a NIC that matches the first physical network adapter on the host Machine. I then added a second NETWORK adapter on the host. I would like to create the second network adapter on the same VM and map it on the second NETWORK adapter on the host. How can this be achieved.

When I use the "Add Hardware", I does not enumerate the physical network adapters on the host to choose and assigns a VM mac address.

    Kind regards.

VMware customers use virtual network adapters if you need for a great, a second deck on the host card, but how to do this depends on the host OS.

For Linux, just run vmware - config.pl and choose to create a second bridged network adapter, choose the right pair of physics.

For Windows, run vmnetcfg.exe (as an administrator), disable the automatic bypass and then manually fill the two physical network adapters (for example to create two VMnet adapters * with each mapping to a different physical NIC). You also need to restart the host VMware Agent services and VMware Server Web Access before these virtual cards will be available for use.

Chapter 11 of the guide is a good reference for all this - http://www.vmware.com/pdf/vmserver2.pdf

  • Failed to create the pool of network VXLAN

I tried to get VXLANs working with the vcloud Director, but have had a problem that I can't work on it would be really grateful for the help.

I went through the config VXLAN Vshield Manager and I think it's ok that I can manually create a pool of network a network, create a virtual wire and attach VMs. If everything looks good. My problem is that when I create a provider VDC in Vcloud Director the associated network pool creation always fails. I don't have to provide the exact error message, but it is something in the sense of 'Vcloud Director received an unexpected response or Manager unknown Vshield, see the logs for Vshiled Manager for more information'. I looked in Vshield Manager logs and can't really find something useful, but it is a bit of a nightmare, I can just be looking in the wrong place.

    Anyone got any ideas?

    TIA

can you confirm/update of credentials here:

    connect to vcloud

go to list of vCenters manage and monitor

Right-click the vCenter to that that vShield Manager is associated

    Click on properties

update the user names and passwords in two tabs

    Click OK

  • create the second with WRT54GL wifi network?

I have DSL with a Comtrend router/wifi (WIFI1).  I would like to connect the WRT54GL to the physical network and have it create a separate WiFi (WIFI2), so my laptop connects to WIFI2, transmitted on the LAN and the Internet.

Cannot do this work - tried to configure the WRT to server DHCP, DHCP pass-through (for the comtrend), and the best I can do is connect to WIFI2 and have access to the LAN but not the Internet.

In the end, I want to put an antenna with high gain on the WRT to send to a building about 400' away and do away with horrible WIFI comtrends, but I just can't at first base.  Can anyone help?

    Thank you

You can configure this way: comtrend as main router with Wifi1 and active DHCP then connect with the disabled DHCP and Wifi2 Linksys wireless router. For example, if the IP address of the first router is 192.168.1.1, put the Linksys IP address to 192.168.1.2 and the two will be connected via the LAN - LAN or Ethernet to Ethernet. Visit this link and read the setup of LAN - LAN http://kb.linksys.com/Linksys/ukp.aspx?vw=1&docid=785463d9ecaf4cac84aed245b08d615f_3733.xml&pid=80&r...

. I also suggest that before you disable the DHCP server on the router Linksys you first define its wireless settings.
