Error "ArcSoft Connect Daemon has stopped working. A problem caused the blocking of the program works correctly. » »

The original title - the following message mean?

I get the following message from Microsoft Windows every time I turn on my computer: ArcSoft Connect Daemon has stopped working.  A problem caused the blocking of the program works correctly.  Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.      'Close program' is in a box for me to enter.  What does that mean?  What I'll do.  I get this message for about a week now.

Hello

Hello

Quick and dirty solution...
Start > run > (type) msconfig > Startup tab > uncheck the ArcSoft program > restart.

Plan b... Watch the programs at http://www.arcsoft.com/en-us/index.asp

Check Add or remove programs for any of these programs and uninstall the program or turn off
automatic updates or to automatically connect or what similar feature you find.

Hope this helps,
Don

Original title: get rid of a software box that says (Arcsoft Connect Daemon has stopped working). Keep on appearing__on from my laptop. ___

My laptop, age 6 to 7 months running Windows 7, it came with Arcsoft requests to make greeting cards, albums Scrapbook etc.on a 6 month trial I have not tried.2 weeks ago, this box appeared - to the trial period is up and keeps popping up whenever I turned on my PC. I thought uninstall these software will solve the problem, but I was told 'the Installshield engine could not be started. Without this interface taken in charge. I then tried "recovery" back to a point of restoration 2 weeks ago. However, recovery was completed without success due to an error. I repeated the process with a week of 3 restore point but also failed. I think that MS calls this Appcrash. The next step would be to advanced recovery, but I'm not sufficiently confident to do it and the problem is only the latter.

    Hello

ArcSoft is a suite of programs to support management. ArcSoft Connect is used to connect online (updates, new goodies etc.). It would be strange if you "Connect" without any of their products, then you want to uninstall those first, if they exist

In order to eliminate that your computer allows you to try these methods.

    Method 1:

If it is installed in C:\Program Files, you can uninstall using programs and features.

Do follow the link provided below.

Try disabling Services "ArcSoft Connect Daemon" service before you start.

To do that you must follow these steps:

    1. click on the Start button.
    2. type services.msc in the search field.
    3. now, look for the "ArcSoft Connect Daemon" service and right-click on it and select Disable.
Now, restart the computer and check if the problem is resolved.

    Method 3:

If the method above doesn't resolve the problem, you can try to download the Windows install cleanup and install it on your computer and try to remove the arcsoft program and check the issue.

  • ArcSoft Daemon has stopped working pops up at startup

Occurs whenever the computer is turned on this pop-up: "ArcSoft Daemon has stopped working".

A problem caused the program blocking

    works correctly.  Windows will close

the program and you warn if a solution

    isn't available. »

This has happened more than a week.  Please notify.

Some ArcSoft program runs at Windows startup and it is a failure. If you use the ArcSoft program, uninstall/reinstall. If you do not use the ArcSoft program, leave it uninstalled.

    Manage startup:

Start Orb > Search box > type: msconfig and when it appears in the results area above, right-click and choose 'run as administrator '.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on continue. Then see what is on the Startup tab. You don't need to restart immediately, but next time you do, you will get a dialog box saying that you have used the utility. Usually, it will be blocked by Windows Defender, and you need to allow it to run so that you can then check the box that says in effect, "don't mind to this subject again".

Important - do not use the System Configuration utility to stop the process. Use Services and stop all services, unless you really, really know what you're doing.

    Hello

    Com Surrogate has stopped working:

Were there any changes (hardware or software) to the computer before the show?

Start the computer in safe mode and see if the problem persists. If the issue is not perist in safe mode, and then put the computer to boot and see if the problem still occurs.

Step 1: Safe mode starts Windows with a limited set of files and drivers. Startup programs do not work in safe mode, and only the basic drivers needed to start Windows are installed.

Step 2: to help troubleshoot error messages and other issues, you can start Windows Vista by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Note: follow step 7 to reset the computer to start as usual after the boot process.

    Hello

Sorry we don't communicate via this forum.

You need a real antivirus because these are the two antispyware. You have the PCtools antivirus
on the computer or just their toolbar in Internet Explorer?

    -------------------------------------------------

If there is no antivirus on the computer here is what I use and recommend (except for one
program like Prevx, you don't want more than one antivirus on the computer program
much less running because they interfere with each other and lower security). Each combination
of her below you will warn of malware without toolbar from PCtools running online.

Here's what I use and recommend: (these are alll free and very effective versions.)

Avast and Prevx proved extremely reliable and compatible with all I have
launched on them. Microsoft Security Essentials and Prevx have also proven to be very
reliable and compatible. Use MSE or Avast and Prevx, Prevx 3 but not all.

Avast Home free - stop any shields is not necessary except leaving Standard, Web, and
    Operation of the network.

    Prevx - Home - free

    Windows Firewall

Windows Defender (is not necessary if you use MSE)

    Protected IE - mode

IE 8 - SmartScreen filter WE (IE 7 phishing filter)

I also IE always start with asset if filter InPrivate IE 8.
(It may temporarily turn off with the little icon to the left of the + bottom
    right of IE)

Two versions of Avast are available 5.x and 4.8 x

Avast - home - free - 5.x stop shields you do not use (except files, Web, network, &)
Shields of behavior) - double click on the icon in the Notification area - real time Orange - click on the
Shield that you want to stop - STOP. To stop the Orange icon to show an error indicator-
Click on the Orange icon - top right - settings - click on the status bar - uncheck shields you
    disabled - click OK
    http://www.avast.com/free-antivirus-download

Avast 4.8 x - home - free - stop shields, you don't need except leaving Standard, Web,.
and the network running. (Double-click the blue icon - look OK. - upper left - Shields details
    Finish those you don't use).
    http://www.avast.com/free-antivirus-download#TAB4

Or use Microsoft Security Essentials - free
    http://www.Microsoft.com/Security_Essentials/

Prevx works well alongside MSE or Avast

Prevx - home - free small, fast, exceptional protection CLOUD, working with other security
programs. It is a single scanner, VERY EFFICIENT, if it finds something come back here
or use Google to see how to remove.
    http://www.prevx.com/   <-->
    http://info.prevx.com/downloadcsi.asp  <-->

    PCmag - Prevx - Editor's choice
    http://www.PCMag.com/Article2/0, 2817,2346862,00.asp

Also get Malwarebytes - free - use as scanner only. If you ever think malware and that
would be unusual with Avast and occasional Prevx running with the exception of a low level cookie
(not much), to UPDATE and then run it as a scanner. I have a lot of scanners and they
never find anything of note that I started to use this configuration.

    I hope this helps.
