  These errors often occur if there are incorrect BIOS (Basic Input\Output System) settings.

  Method 1: Check if the computer startup options are changed in the BIOS. You can set the hard drive as the first boot device. In addition, make sure that this option "Wake on LAN" or one similar to it is off.

  As far as I know, when any operating system that supports EFI is installed to GPT, it creates a system partition EFI is required to start.   It is absolutely not possible to manually create a System Partition UEFI with files of Windows 8 start. If you try to convert an MBR disk in GPT disk, then you will lose all data on this disc, that this process involves deleting all partitions or volumes of the disk. So, you can be forced to make a backup of all data in your computer or use the Easy Transfer utility you have in Windows 7.

  In addition, I would like also to you inform, although conversion from MBR to GPT disk drive is greatly needed to take full advantage of disk space, but, please note that the program prevents you to convert the system drive, because the GPT system disk can start on the card mother UEFI, but system MBR disk can not boot from this configuration.

  One of my clients recently bought a laptop HP 250 G2.

  It was preloaded with Windows 7 Pro, but clearly indicated on the box that it was also supplied with Windows 8 media, although she was allowed only for one at a time.

  You will need to speak directly to HP - we are a personal forum community.  HP provides administration and services of moderation only; they are not here in an official capacity.

  When you call, try Post sales or something similar in the menu.  You don't want to end up with Technical Support - you will just get bounced since this isn't a technical problem any.  The same warranty services could be better than technical support, you need to get your hands on a person "live" from the beginning to explain what you need so you can be transmitted.

  If you are the US or Canada, you may be able to handle this by CAT - there is little or no waiting like this.  I don't know the extent to which they are able to manage this kind of investigation; I think it would be worth the time to ask the question if the phone lines are too uptight.

  for windows 8, I don't think that you need all the drivers for this PC - once that windows 8 is intalled it works perfectly and pick up all the drivers microsoft driver database.

  If you use HP MediaSmart DVD to read Blu - ray disc, try the following.

  HP now provides a version of PowerDVD 10 Cyberlinks which seems to be a better solution.  Download the installer for it on the link below and save it to your desktop.

  When the download is complete, open windows panneau Panel configuration, open programs and features, right click the entry for HP MediaSmart DVD and select uninstall - once this process is complete, restart the laptop.

  When windows has reloaded, double-click the installer for PowerDVD 10 start the installation.  Once this done, see if your Blu - ray disc now plays OK.

If the BIOS is a v5, then you are out of luck because you will need a CPC_DMI drive, which is available only to technicians certified HP. If it is a V6, then you have a thin ray of hope. Press CTRL + F10 to enter the BIOS instead of just normal F10. If you go in the Section ID system, or if you have the latest BIOS (which has File, storage, starting at the top), then you will need to press CTRL + A to enter this section. In this section, the system IDs or CTRL + A, you will have a bunch of entries, where different values can be entered. If you don't select anything, then you are not in the Advanced BIOS and must try to enter it again. If you can highlight things but not press on enter and edit them, then you're out of luck that you need a BIOS_UPDATE utility for reeset DMI information, it is also disclaimed except to HP certified technicians.
  
  If, by chance, you are able to highlight and change the values that you are very lucky because you don't need the disc. Simply fill out the information on this screen with two small notes which must be known. The model he is claiming is actually the number of unit. The Reference is in fact the model number.   I checked most of the posts about this generic error code 37. Here's my dilemma... Labview 6 running on a windows NT system. This computer is on its last breath, and we want to switch to XP... I installed labview 6 on a XP machine and the program works very well... and I actually get my external device data unless I get the ERROR 37... the great thing is I can not launch a Subvi, which creates a linear between because once I get error 37, stops the Subvi. I don't understand how can I read data from my external device, still get the device not found msg. I even tried to install 7 LV and LV 8 still get the same results.
