Error JavaScript with Insert named anchors

In the menu select Insert the named anchor, it gives me this error

"When executing insertObject in Anchor.htm, a JavaScript error has occurred" and no longer works.

Dreamweaver, ensured that I was running Java6 searched on line deleted the Cache file (MacFileCache - 41D6DDDA.dat). This has just begun. I'm under MacOSX ElCapitan 10.11.1 (updated). I use Dreamweaver CS6 (updated). Tested by creating the new html file.

Well, since named anchors are deprecated in modern HTML code, you shouldn't use them more.

Use unique IDS.

    DW CS6

    I created a site in dremaweaver CS6 using a template (.dwt). There is a horizontal Spry menu, with a fall to the low "submenus" (I don't know if it's the correct term).

    Main menu link entries to the relevant pages, not a problem, but I also want the submenu items link to specifc places on other pages, for example this (in the template)

    "< li > < a class ="MenuBarItemSubmenu"href ="... / photoshop.html "> < /a > Photoshop"

    < ul >

    < li > < a href = "photoshop.html" > < /li > < /a > clipping mask ""

    < li > < a href = "photoshop.html" > Content Aware Fill < /a > < /li > ""

    < li > < a href = "photoshop.html" > color and pattern replacement < /a > < /li > ""

    < li > < a href = "photoshop.html" > shadow < /a > < /li > ""

    < li > < a href = "photoshop.html" > Spot Healing < /a > < /li > ""

    < li > < a href = "photoshop.html #vanishing" > < /a > Vanishing Point < /li > ""

    < /ul >

    < /li >

    to link to this (a caption under the image)

    < div class = "block" > < a href = "images/vanishing_point_box.jpg" > < img src = images/t_vanishing_point_box.jpg"' alt = 'a clear Red box with a lid' title = 'a clear Red box with a lid' > < / has > " < class p = "caption" > < an id = "vanishing" > a simple red box with a lid < /a > < /p > < / div >

    but it simply doesn't. By clicking on the element of Vanishing Point in the drop Photoshop just takes me to the top of the photoshop.page.

    I tried initially doing so using Insert > named anchor & insert > hyperlink & when it does not work I tried to enter the code manually, but nothing seems to work. I tried to change id = 'leak' to name = "vanishing" after reading around online... still does not

    I tried to do as much text on a single page to the text on another and it works fine, so I think the problem is either because I'm trying to link a menu item or a list, or because the target is a series of divs nested... maybe there is a limit to how many levels of nesting that is going to work. I may be completely wrong here, so any help would be appreciated.

    I see no way to attach files here, but if anyone thinks it would be useful to include the complete code for each file (2.45 KB & 6.46 KB) I can do.

    TIA

    ID is unique to the page & can be used only once.

    I used HTML5

    tag in my example.  But an ID can be applied to any block-level element - for example. div, section, header, footer page, li, p, h1, h2, h3, etc...

    Class = 'block' >

    vanishing point

    A simple red box with a lid

  • Named anchors

    I have Dreamweaver CC and "insert > named anchor ' will not end. Where can I find?

    He was abducted, named anchors are obsolete in html standards.

    You can accomplish the same thing by giving text, images or other elements an id in the properties panel, and then a link to that id with a # in front of him.

    Here is a much more involved discussion on this...

    Is there a way to give a user a Web page link that sends a user to a specific slide in a CBT?  (a bit like "named anchors" in HTML)

    I have a list of tasks that users can watch simultaneously OR individually.  Accessing the CBT of emails and Web sites.  Emails, he will lead them to a stage in the diagram below.  On the site, they can choose to start at the beginning, or choose a specific step.

    If this isn't the case, then I will have 2 versions.  One of the versions has all the sections in a single file.  The other version is a bunch of separate files in order to link the individual.

  • Where is the named anchor button?

    I can't find the button named anchor in the Insert panel. I have dreamweaver cc 2014. Any help thanks.

    She has been removed from the program there are several versions as "named anchors" were considered as obsolete in the HTML standards.

    Instead of using a named anchor, you give to the item you want to link to an id unique html in the Properties window. Then use you #thatid as the link field in the property window for the item acting as the link.

  • named anchor

    Hello

    I no longer see thenamed anchor insert command in adobe Dreamweaver cs 2014

    could someone there help me please.

    Laurent

    The more contemporary is to make an anchor named just a link to an element using its ID. For example -.

    Go to foo

    ....

    It's foo

    You will need to do this manually because the "named anchor" option has been removed from DW (for several versions now).

  • Bug report - named anchor - SSP page protection

    APEX 4.2.1 https://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=57688:14

    The button FOLLOWING a redirect URL to Page 15 using the f? p = rating to scroll the page for an area at the bottom of the page by using a named anchor f? p =... #bottom

    Page 15 has the SSP Access Protection Page attribute to the Arguments must have the checksum, the redirection fails when the link is not the checksum

    The NEXT2 button does the same thing but uses the declarative fields to set the target of button as follows http://screencast.com/t/OOw6Q6C2

    I thought that sticking the named anchor * #r620 * in the field with these values and leaving the field empty page elements will be a problem, but it works very well, APEX generates the checksum in the f? p = URL and finally bugs on the named anchor. Everything as it should be, perfect.

    Now... when I go back to the edit page of button (4000:4314) fields are empty! http://screencast.com/t/lMMmOlF2fYgc I scratch my head of course but the behavior is always the same.

    Export the page shows that the button target attributes are always defined
      p_button_name    => 'NEXT2',
      p_button_action  => 'REDIRECT_PAGE',
      p_button_redirect_url=> 'f?p=&APP_ID.:5:&SESSION.::&DEBUG.:5::#r620',
    but the page Builder does not know how to handle the named anchor so it messes up the display. Of course, the button apply the changes on the complains now that the Page field is now empty, so indeed, the target page of key cannot be changed using the constructor :-(

    Can someone in the team of the APEX please consider what bug and advise if there is a solution? Thank you

    Hi Vikas,

    I found a solution, even if it's a little awkward. You can switch to Classic view and click the "Change all" button. It will show you the URL.

    Value for endangered, anchors # apparently received support in some parts of the manufacturer (for example the branches) in 3.0, but not in the links of the button. I'll file a bug.

    Kind regards

  • Named anchor removed from Dreamweaver CC 13

    Named anchor allows us to link lists of content to specific items in the other pages on our Web site. He was removed from the Insert menu and the list of commands in the 13 CC Dreamweaver without advance notice (or other). Why it was deleted? When it will be restored? If it will not be restored, why not?

    Named anchors are deprecated in HTML.  This is why you won't find them in DW.

    Use rather div id.

    ID = "two">

  • Error AcroExch with Abobe Reader (11.0.03)

    I'm working on an assistance service, and we still get people with the following error when trying to incorporate PDF files into Word documents. "The program used to create this object is AcroExch. This program is either not installed on your computer, or it does not. To change this, install AcroExch or ensure that all the dialog boxes in AcroExch are closed. "I have tried most of the obvious things to solve this problem (fixed Office and player, back to a previous version of the player, ran C cleaner). I also tried things like old manual resistry keys deleting more obscure and things of this nature. I don't know what else to try. There seems to be some corrections for this problem in Adobe Reader X, but based on what I've seen, none of these work at the XI player. Does anyone know how to fix this?

    Hi all.  I had this problem too, when I tried to insert a PDF into a Word with Insert document-> object-> create from file.  My IT Department asked me to insert it differently and it works.  Using Insert-> object-> create new ones.  It worked like a charm.

  • Error JavaScript prevents the table of contents, Index, search view

    I produced my RoboHelp HTML project webhelp and got an error javascript (this.maCom [...] (' is null or not an object) when you view the result. See the full error text below. So the table of contents, index and search are not displayed. We'll find the javascript error in the status bar of the browser that says "error on page". I found that if I saw the result of robohelp, the browser that launched shows the table of contents, index and search, but has a security warning about a restriction of running scripts or ActiveX controls. However, when I move the generated webhelp on my production server, the help doesn't have the security warning, but produces the error so that the table of contents, index and search do not show. I had done the same process to generate webhelp about 8 months ago but had no error whatsoever. In fact, this version is still in production and works very well.

    In my search for the problem, I found that it is the same error as message of the forum 4063663 (http://forums.adobe.com/message/4063663). I didn't have a second system with RoboHelp to be able to get other whphost.js, however, I have diff had the file generated with that found in template_stock and found only two different lines. These differences were only to replace a couple of variables with static text so I do not replace this file will solve any problem for me. That is the message of only forum I could find who addressed this issue.

    I was originally on RoboHelp 8.0.0 when I first encountered the problem, but has expanded and patched to version 8.0.2 and still had the same problem. I even created a new simple project. Once I moved the simple project on the production server, it also would display the table of contents, index and search.

    The strange thing is that only 8 months ago, I used the same process to generate webhelp without any errors (on 8.0.0). The only thing I can find is there is a Windows XP patch which affected the generation of webhelp. Furthermore, I also tried chrome and also produces the error.

    I don't know what is causing this problem or how to solve the problem. Anyone have any ideas?

    After further research and testing, I found the update of security for RoboHelp 8 and 9 (http://www.adobe.com/support/security/bulletins/apsb11-23.html) posted as an ad that I had not seen before. I used the feature updates of the product, but that said I was informed and did not include this update.

    Both javascript in this update files solve the problem. The table of contents, index and search now appear.

    Update:
    As I studied the problem further (when writing this reply), I found files that are newer than the latest security patches, I was aware of that. In addition, I discovered that my security organization decided to patch with APSB12-04 I don't know. This patch is why my 8.0.0 installation magically stop working. I see the announcement of the security, the bulletin was not all the required components for specific, that the patch can be applied to 8.0.1 and 8.0.2). (8.0.0, Adobe, please give more information on the ballots of so that organizations that deploy auto will be forced to find out what is running before the update. Information such as whether they apply to all versions of Robohelp 8 or simply a specific version. If APSB12-04 was supposed to apply to all versions of 8, then it did not work. In fact, he broke my installation of 8.0.0 for the generation of webhelp, but a later installation of 8.0.1 and 8.0.2. It seems that they have done a better job for APSB11-23. Maybe the security updates should be a kind of service pack that has a plant and a cancellation process. Right now, my security organization has replaced the files based on the specification in the security bulletin.

    I'll try to patch with APSB12-04 new since I've updated version 8.0.2 database to see if I still have the webhelp. If I can't view the table of contents, I have to take off once more and be 'in non-compliance."
