Error "Library not registered" and "access violation at address 00000000. Read of address 00000000 "while trying to play Call of Duty 2 on Windows 7 64 bit

Original title: Call of Duty 2 on windows 7: first window said: library not registered. After a minute, seven or more pop-up windows to say the same thing: access violation at address 00000000. Read of address 00000000

I tried to play Call Of Duty 2 on windows 7 64 premium.  After installation, if I choose to click on the shortcut on the desktop, it keeps invites me to insert the correct CD in the drive.  That right is already in the drive.  If I have the game from the CD autorun, it invites library not registered.  Then opens upward of seven windows or more with the same message: access violation at address 00000000. Read of address 00000000.  the map system, game and video have all been updated and installed the latest patch for Call of Duty 2.  The funky thing is, if I use the fix offered for Vista I can get the multiplayer game to work, but the single player mode is still inaccessible.  I tried changing the compatibility, tried to use the option of windows XP mode and tried to open it in a new window and ran it under administrator.  nothing has worked, suggestions?

I have thought about it myself, do what I tried above and activate the function of compatibility with Windows Vista service pack 2.  If you do not know the fix vista, click Start, Control Panel, hardware and sound, click sound, and then click the recording TAB.  Right click on a space in the tab itself, when see her disable devices is displayed click on to show them.  stereo mix is show in the tab, right click on that and turn on.  Only, remember, insert the CD, do not autorun installation just right click on the icon setup on the CD itself and open a new window.  run as administrator and install.  After that, go ahead and install the latest version of Patch 1.3 for Call of Duty 2.  When all is said and done don't forget to change the compatibility mode to Windows Vista service Pack 2. Note to Microsoft: Windows XP mode is a great idea, except that you dropped the ball twice, #1 - should have a version of it to support windows 7 Edition home premium for topics such as this for the public #2 - you must enable a way to get the video settings within the windows XP mode , in short to make a windows operating system that will play a game out there that has already been done to PC.

    Hello

Start the DirectX using the command * dxdiag *.
There, you should check if all acceleration graphics card options have been enabled.

If that does not help, then you should try to update the graphics driver.
In most cases, the old graphics driver causes these questions because it s not completely compatible with the game.

    Check it out!

  • Installation of Quake 4 on Windows 7... "" Library not registered ".

I tried to install Quake 4 on my Windows 7 computer, and a message saying "Library not registered" keeps popping up. I searched for solutions to other websites and it just said I should right click and press "Run as Administrator". I can't find this option. I think it is because the user account is the administrator. If someone could help me find a solution, it would be much appreciated.

Ah, I looked on this. That's what I get for trying to answer so late.

You are installing from a CD or a place digitally? If you are installing from a CD, you must open "Computer" and right-click on the CD and click on explore or open and find the installer on the CD. You do a right click on the Setup file and run that as administrator.

  • loaded call of duty 2, but will not be executed, the library not registered

I was able to actually load the game (I can see it in programs), but when I try to execute a notice appears saying there are compatibility problems. (I ran the program under xp3 compatibility, vista2 etc..) I touched the program anyway and "library not registered" comes back every time.  Very frustrating.

This solves a problem I've been working on for months.  I have never messed with 10 windows experience - has been a long pain without any benefit.  It DOES nothing again - except mess up COD 2.

Thanks again.  Uninstall KB3086255, run as COD 2 Windows 7 admin and you're ready to go.

  • Chrome error: "class not registered".

I changed my default browser Chrome to IE then back to Chrome and since then have been do this error "class not registered". I have uninstalled/installed and the same error persists. Any help is very appreciated. Thank you!

Unfortunately, Keith suggestion has not worked for me either.

What ended up working for me are the following steps:

1 hit CTRL + R and type "misconfig".

    2. on the Startup tab, click on "Open the Task Manager.

    3. When this window is open, right click on Google Chrome

    4. click on Properties, then open the compatibility tab

    5. press on "run the resolution of compatibility issues.

From this point, Windows should resume, searching for issues. It should detect and difficulty and go directly to the application allows you to test whether the program works.

After that I did it, it worked for me. If all goes well, it does the same thing for you!

Access violation at address 74F735D1 in module "OLEACC.dll". Read of address 00000048

    Hi   Travis815,

    (1) when exactly you get this error message?

    (2) since when are you facing this problem?

    (3) remember you to make changes to the computer?

Please quote the complete error message you receive.

Method 1: Auditor of file system (CFS) scan to fix all of the corrupted system files. To do this, follow the steps mentioned in the link below:

How to use the System File Checker tool to fix the system files missing or corrupted on Windows Vista or Windows 7

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929833

Method 2: Put the computer to boot and then check if the problem persists

Follow step 1 in the link below,
How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

If everything works well after a clean boot, you can deduce that some third-party services are at the origin of the problem.

Continue with the remaining steps to pin-point on the third party service.
After find you the program that is causing the problem, you will have to perhaps to update or install a newer version of the program, if you rarely use that you should consider uninstalling the software.

Important: n ' forget not to put the computer to a normal startup follow step 7 in the link.

    Hi Rob,

What is happening in Mode safe? If you can install it in Mode safe mode then delete all entries in startup via msconfig as this could conflict with the program.

If this does not work, saving all the data of your administrator account, you can delete the account and recreate it.

  • Can't mistake of playing Age Of Empires 3 on Windows 7 64-bit message - d3dx9_25.dll isn't is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error

Original title: can not play Age Of Empires 3 on Windows 7 64 bit

I recently downloaded aoe 3 games for windows program, see the list also useful with Windows 7.

Download fine, as does the installation but I have a very big problem all I get when I try and run all the extensions of aoe 3 is the following error

c:\windows\system32\d3dx9_25.dll is not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. try to install the program by using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the provider of software for support.

The file in question is there I tried to delete it using the program dxwebsetup or one that comes with the download aoe3 however both reinstall the same file accurate return.

I have try the .exe running in all sorts of compatibility mode as well as manually from the install in compatibility mode. all I get is the same error each time. I ran the esfile auditor and lists some invalid files, I guess it's because they are cracked to work without the cd files. I downloaded the game 3 times now.

My drivers are all upward to date, research on the internet I can't find a lot of information, a lot of links goto the forums on agecommunity.com but they are no longer works.

I am really stuck and would appreciate any help thanks

    Hi Mitsouki,

This problem may occur if the Microsoft DirectX file that is mentioned in the error message is damaged or is not copied correctly.

Step 1: You can follow the steps mentioned in the article below, which deals with a similar question

Game error: "the file d3dx9_xx. DLL is not found.
