Hello. So, I tried to install this game since Christmas and I get the same error. It charge about 80% then stops. "media1.cab error". I resintalled my whole system, upgrade to SP1, updated all the drivers, I contacted the two WB Games, Microsoft (which there's no support to $100), I poured content on my hard drive without success, responds to EVERYTHING with no.! I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate. Can anyone help?
It might be a problem with the DVD drive, but why always stopping in the same place? What other drives, works well?

Just to clarify - you said earlier that you can copy the entire contents of the disc for
your HARD drive. When you tried to install the Setup.exe that you had previously copied on the HARD drive with the disc in the drive, you still can not install the game?
It seems that as the Media1.cab file copy on the HARD drive it should not
be corrupted.
Maybe something in the DRMIS blocks the installation via the old copy to the turn of the HARD disk. Odd that you would still get the same error message about the media1.cab of files on the HARD drive, however.

MS Security Essentials is free and good as any which you pay (I use Avast free version).
BTW - the PS3 version arrives on blu - ray, but the PC version is still good old DVD.
Are your specifications of machines greater or equivalent to laptop of your son?

I had a whole series of mistakes differrent, but thought of the discuussions in http://forums.adobe.com/message/5273970#5273970 would be the resolution, but as you can see by my comment on this subject, that this still has not first solve my problem. I finally solved it by using this solutions all in contact with technical assistance, although I do not understand what we did different, he still was't straight forward and had several attempts to succeed. Still seems to be a problem Adobe must answer, especially with the new CC version and update to come Monday, I bet that there will be a lot of discussion of this problem the week next in the forums.

Here's the question,
I got the update of WD Web, its installation site and on my computer work... will not install the drivers. I go to the Device Manager and the drive appears as unknown device. try to update driver software, and then gets all throughout this so-called - "windows found driver software for your device but encountered an error trying to install", and then below that theres a picture of a hard drive and next it is written "generic volume". then below that it says "this operation requires and the interactive window station.
went to disk management, any option that I click on reassign a drive letter or to reformat I get various error messages. basically the wtf. Ive google the issue and the error message and have tons of similar problems posted by other people, but nobody has the right solution for me - tried so much. I called windows, they were no help, sent me here essentially. not called WD they have no help...
Anyone have any ideas?

My research, I find that there are several problems with the Antivirus software when trying to install the drivers for the Western Digital hard drive. I suggest that you disable the antivirus software temporarily and verify if you are able to install the drivers. Also, make sure you download the correct version of the drivers.

"An internal system error has occurred" when you try to install DirectX.

Help, please! I automatically get the update above via Windows update, but every time I try to install it, it fails with the WindowsUpdate_00000D56 error code. I searched on through pages and pages or forums, but I do not understand the jargon. How can I get this update to install successfully?

Could you please provide the full error message that you receive for a better understanding of the issue?
Step 1: Manually download the update from the link below and then try to install it
Save the update on the Office
Step 2: Disable security software, follow the steps mentioned below
Disable antivirus software
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/disable-antivirus-software
Important: Activate security software once everything is done
Now try to install the update that is saved on the desktop
