• Error getting query plans for queries involving logical operators

  I'm trying to gather information to improve the performance of queries for an application I am running using Oracle Berkeley XML database version 2.4.16 with all available patches installed and have encountered problems in the documentation of my XQuery query plans. I hope that these problems also partly explain query performance problems I'm having.

  and the dbxml command-line utility responds with:
  

  queryPlan failed, Wrong number of arguments.

  This happens about any variation on this request where there are two conditions related (or gold) set term [].
  
  An overview of what motivates the error would be very useful.

  Please apply "" or "" to your expression of qplan. "
  Like this:

  qplan "collection('browser')/open_square_bracket[@a='b']"
  

  or

  qplan 'collection("browser")/open_square_bracket[@a="b"]'
  

  Note: as stated above, use ' ' inside the phrase while using "" outside of expression and use ' ' inside the phrase while using "'outside the expression.

• Error getting hierarchical planning in essbase

  Hi, I have a HSS user that is outsourced in essbase and I used it to create some HBR, but now I'm not able to select this sketch in essbase for this, although I'm planning other applications but application I want to choose does not come from there to essbase outline
  
  Help, please

  It sounds pretty common after restart of planning/EAS you need to physically log in all planning applications, if you don't when you go in HBR you will not be able to access planning applications.
  It is probably resolved itself as someone probably connected to the planning application.

• Error creating database of Essbase Hyperion Planning

  While creating the database Essbase Database 'manage' in Hyperion Planning, I get the following error:

  It gets stuck to the addition of Dimensions.
  
  I tried to reconfigure the planning, but not luck.

  Have you tried to restart the services and give it a try?

  What version of Essbase/Planning are you on?

  If the name of your server Essbase has more than 30 characters, please use NODENAME with the short server name.

• Planning error object is locked when loading of the dimension members by HAL

  We have a problem loading a dimension members in a planning application. We get the error message Error: com.hyperion.planning.ObjectIsLockedException: the PKI object is locked by another user.
  We can load other dimensions, and we do not have the sessions/users in the application.
  We have also restarted the planning service.
  
  Has anyone seen this problem before?

  You should be able to clear the lock by restarting the web application Planning Server.

  You can also take a look in the HSP_LOCKS table.

  So I had to upgrade to 3.0 SANHQ, and now, one of my paintings give me these 15 'mistakes ':

  I have havnt seen this error in one of the older versions of SANHQ before.

  I spoke in support, and the engineer said, that there was a replacement of these drives due to errors. But they only took contact with customers who have had on a number of disks fail on them (we only replaced one in 5 years).

  I just wanted to check here, if anyone else has encountered this error. IM planning on the upgrade of firmware 7.0 Friday and I don't want to have problems with a defective table because of this error.

  It fixed itself, once I had firmware 7.0 on my paintings.

  Seems to be a problem with the specific drives, 6.0.1 and sanhq 3.0

• "Your power plan information is not available.

  On my M57e, Windows 7 Professional, I am trying to adjust the power management settings.  I get the message error "your power plan information is not available.  After a visiting several sites help Windows 7, I'm still stuck.  I also have a Thinkpad T61p running Windows 7 and do not have this problem here.  It seems that Lenovo associated with this machine, even if Lenovo is promoting as compatible Windows 7 there is no power mgmt software.  The Lenovo Web site shows nothing to Mgmt.  BTW, a lot of users no Lenovo reported this problem, too.

  Has anyone has met and conquered it?

  OK, here is the solution for this problem in MY case (your mileage may vary):

  Start msconfig.exe, and then, under Startup, clear the check box for Roxio Burn (do not in any case)... voila!

  If you're on a Samsung or Sony [he possibly also others], then there is a 'useful' utility, installed by the PC manufacturer that is inhibiting your ability to set power plans.  Quick start to type in the search box of the start menu & if such a utility exists then go ahead & turn it off - there is no unwanted side effects.  It doesn't help that you can't do yourself.

  For the other PC, navigate to the folder of the machine in all programs and search for any similar name - quick start, fast, mess-up-your-power sleep - options.exe, that sort of thing.

  Because the symptoms for the first time by people with this afliction is always - can't change what happens when I change the cover - I think you'll be right as rain when you have disabled the quick start.

  We had the environment SSL enabled which we removed recently and now the environment is not SSL. We are able to connect to work space and run all of the components, but when we migrate any new request we receive following error. Can someone advise.

  The LWA is used only for internal goods traffic so that it is used in fields as FCL, if you remove the element of load balancer and point it to the web server (OHS), then it should show if it is related to the load balancing, I saw this error with the planning and LCM when there were questions type load balancer.

• Essbase service starts not (planning 11.1.2.3.501)

  This morning we received the following error message in planning when you open a form:

  "Unable to get a connection for Hyperion Essbase. If the problem persists, please contact your administrator. "

  For our UAT environment, it was enough to just stop and start services. For our production environment, all the services seem to be start correctly, but when I try to connect to Essbase through the administrative console I get the following error:

  Error [10061] network: could not connect to [BXTS131040.eu.rabonet.com:1423]

  When I run diagnostics I get the following error (see attachment):

  Validate the connection to the server Essbase to BXTS131040.eu.rabonet.com

  Error: Could not connect to the olap service. Unable to connect to the server of Essbase to 'BXTS131040.eu.rabonet.com:1423 '. Error network [10061]: unable to connect to [BXTS131040.eu.rabonet.com:1423]

  Recommended action: check Essbase server is started.

  The startup log does not say much either. Watch only a different way of exploitation forest (UNKNOWN?) and THREADS is [1 num] rather than [issue 4]. I don't know where to look for this "UNKNOWN" part in the log... see below:

  Can this be achieved through LCM? If you want to migrate the metadata only, what other items should be selected?

  LCM using you can precisely select dimensions to migrate. I would extend this possibility and choose to export metadata to the env DEV and pass that to the second environment.

  We have recently applied the corrective update EMP on EMP 11.1.2.0 111.2.1.
  We have following the architecture,
  
  database server: sql server 2005
  Server Foundation (OS = windows server 2008): HSS, EPMA, Manager Calc, EAS, EIS, provider's server, planning
  Essbase Server (OS = windows server 2008): essbase
  
  After you apply the patching EMP 11.1.2.1, we apply after Electrodes for IE 9 compactibility i.e EMP 11.1.2.1.600 patches
  
  1. patch 14119724 (Workspace)
  2 14142678 patch (Shared services)
  3 patch 14224664 (EPMA)
  4 patch 14464109 (planning)
  
  After you apply above patches, all users get error when opening planning web form through the workspace of all client computer.

  I have following question:
  1. Why do we get error "error communicating with the server. callback failed for the data entry page"after you apply the fixes to IE9
  
  2. after cancellation all patches or planning one patch, why the user xyz always get the error but not other users
