  I tried to install the Hyperion Essbase 6.2.4 on Windows Server 2003 version and most of the thing works except that the Essbase Service itself does not appear on the Panel of Windows Services, whether on the previous installation of Windows 2000 Server.
  
  I tried reinstalling the software but the problem is still not resolved. I need to have Essbase Service on the list to allow the availability of service 24 x 7.
  
  I know that the Essbase version is quite outdated, but I'd be happy to hear from you guys.

  In version 6, you need to set your ip to the service. Go to start run and type cmd and click ok
  Then in the command window type
  Essbase.exe - service installation and press ENTER. The device must install.

  I planning, Essbase, HSS etc running on Windows server and have recently had the problem where Essbase service refuses to stop executing the task to stop all the services of Hyperion.
  
  This has happened on 2 separate customer sites.
  
  Nothing obvious appears in the Essbase.log or on the server event log.

  How do you try to stop via Maxl essbase? If not, have you tried using Maxl
  I know essbase can be funny about stopping when it crashes or cannot unload applications.

• SSH and SMB service starts not more

  Dear community,

  After you have installed the Add-it-Analyzer Log my RN10200 started having some problems that I was not able to see the shares via Samba more. I tried to connect via SSH to see what is the problem, but also the SSH no longer works. Since the web-admin panel still works, I tried to enable SMB and SSH in the Panel, but it briefly passes green and gray then again. I also tried to uninstall the add-on, but now get a package manager error. I then tried to reinstall the operating system using the boot option, but that did not help either.

  I removed the hard disks in the unit and their read-only to see what is poorly mounted. There, I found some permissions to be set wrong on the system partition:

  could be the cause of the problem? Other ideas how to get SSH and SMB work return service or more diagnostic information?

  I have a backup of everything so a complete reset would be an option. However, I would like to understand the problem and solve it rather by using telnet, as seems to be a simple problem? It would be enough to reset permissions? What else could be causing this behavior?

  Dear gurus, hyperion,
  I have 5 requests of essbase, and sometimes when I go EAS and check, I see some of the disabled application (which means that they have these RED cross brand), so I have to manually start the application.
  My question is what causes the application turns off without doing us something? What it has to do with performance, or do we need to do something to fix this? Any light on this issue would be appreciated.

• 10 ColdFusion service does not start

  We have ColdFusion10 (update 17) Standard Edition is installed on a Windows 2008 R2 server. It has been installed and runs fine for a few years, but in the last few weeks we had problems starting the service.   That should fix remove CF10, install CF10, apply to entire customization process you may need as sources of data, JVM parameters, property or tomcat server.xml file. Maybe some customization may be given by

  keep a copy of the files of CF10\cfusion\lib\ neo.

  Simply call DefaultCacheServer.start () which starts the services (but does not start the thread of analysis that restarts the services of consistency if the node was chased from the cluster automatically).

  If you want the thread of analysis, too, then, in my opinion, you can call DefaultCacheServer.startDaemon ().

  Friend of me has had the same problem and it could solve the problem by deleting this file:
  "C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\R oaming\PeerNetworking\idstore.sst".

  This file has something to do with the PNRP service and after deletion it will be re-created. Generally, this service should work correctly after deleting this file.

  Check this box!

• Why nidevldr service of starts not reliable?

  nidevldr service does not (always) start after the reboot. We run TestStand 4.2.1 on Windows 7, 32 bit.

  National Instruments mDNS service starts after the restart, but stops shortly after. As we understand it, the mDNS NOR should be started so that nidevldr to start.

  The two services are set to restart automatically after the failure of 1st, 2nd & subsequent by NEITHER Document ID: 4BHID6DE.

  Any suggestion would be appreciated.

  In addition to the cases mentioned in the document 4BHID6DE, it is possible that there is a firewall or antivirus software that is limiting this service to run properly. If you have one of those configured, they can be useful to add to the exceptions.
