Error on blue screen on Equium A100-549
Hello
I won a laptop facing a blue screen error every time she has been put in service. I was provided with the essential components and did a format using the recovery CD. Once it was full, I pulled out the as shown then clicked exit Recovery CD. The black window says complete format and the PC turns off. When I try to turn on an orange light flashes on one of the LEDS and the PC does not illuminate. Most of the text is in Chinese, while he was working too (the owner of Chinese). I would be grateful for some assistance.
Thank you very much.
Hello
From your description, I guess that the LED flashes all the time if the AC adapter is plugged in. Am I wrong?
I think there is a hardware failure, and the LED provide a blink code.
Unfortunately, I n t think you can solve this problem by yourself.
In my opinion, a technician must check the laptop. Service guys are able to read the code and can find the fault.

Equium A100-549 - reading disc error occurred press ctrl + alt + delete to restart
Hello
I have a laptop Toshiba Equium a100-549, about 3 years, Windows XP Home Edition.
Everything worked very well so far. When starting my computer, I received the message:A disk read error occurred press ctrl + alt + delete
I don't want to lose my dataPlease please I need some advice what to do
Kind regards
AGM> I don't want to lose my data
Well. Everyone knows that a HARD disk problem can happen and all of a sudden you may lose all the data stored on the HARD drive.
That is why it s always recommended to backup the data on additional HDD, DVD, etc.I'm not sure if this will help but try this:
Try to boot from the disk Win XP (NOT the Toshiba Recovery disk) and press r. means repair and should start the repair console.
The similar DOS window should open and there, you can use a command:
CHKDSK drive/p/rThe chkdsk command checks the specified drive and repairs or recovers the drive if the drive requires it.
More details can be found here:
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/314058If that does not help, then you need to reinstall new OS.

PCI network on Equium A100-549 controller resource conflict
I have an Equium A100-549 that stop to restart the computer with the error message:
ERROR
Resource conflict - PCI on motherboard network controller
Bus: 02, device: 04, function: 00Press F1 to load the default values, F2 for Setup
F1 just a loop to the same message, F2 brings up the configuration screens, but I see nothing here to fix this problem.
There have not been any addition of material to the machine because it is out of the box from Toshiba.
Any suggestions to get around this problem?
I put t know what you did with your Equium and I advise you to install the OS by using recovery media delivered. After having this device will be updated again plant and equipment will be configured correctly.
If the problem persists I would recommend you contact the after-sales Service of Toshiba partner and let check the device.

Equium A100-549 4 GB memory?
Hello
I have a Tosh Equium A100 - 549 (PSAA4E). It's getting a little old now, but still a good machine, I've read various reports on what is max memory to this laptop.
I bought 2 x 2 GB 200 pin SODIMM PC2-5300 (667), but when I install the laptop does not start. I get the power and keyboard LED and the fan but not the screen output.
If I mix a former modules with a new 2 GB 512 MB (in order any Bank) then the laptop works, even if I get only 1.87 GB display in XP Home Ed.
Took me to update to the latest version of the BIOS but still the same thing.
Is it more a case of 2 GB not supported or is it the speed? I need 2 x 2 GB PC2 - 4200?
Thanx
Hi mate,
the machine does not support the def. more than 2 GB of RAM. You must use no to 667 and 533 Mhz modules.
That's all ;)

Equium A100-549: DVD & CD playback is slow and jerky
Hello!
DVD and CD playback is jerky and slow (sound and image). This problem occurred out of the blue! One day was playing very well and the next, when we tried to play a DVD is a different problem. I put the other DVD that plays very well the night before, but without success - it wasn't the DVD in particular. I tried the audio CD I played before and to my disappointment the same problem. I ripped a CD on my laptop and it played very well - it is not the sound card. I used a lens cleaner, but it did not work.I run Toshiba Diagnostics, no problem. I even scanned the HD and defrag, nothing - so I doubt there is a problem with Windows. Problem with two media players, windows one and the Nero one - is not due to lack of players. I drop the phone or hit him or spilled something on it. And this problem really happened from one day to the other. I had all the windows and driver updates two weeks before the problem occurred, by paying in the meantime several DVDs and a few CDs with no problems. What should I do?
Fortunately, the laptop is still under warranty, but I would prefer if there is a way to fix at home, because services of take time...

VasilisHello
I hope that your device to factory settings and not your own installation of the OS. You didn't write what CDs and DVDs you use, but I hope that use you the original one.
Before you play DVD movie try at first to end all unnecessary process and stop the antivirus application if you have one. RedHawk is just, but I'm sure that DMA setting is standard by factory settings.

Hi all
I have a bit of a problem, I can not solve my self.
I have a toshiba Equium A100 549 and changed operating system from XP home to XP home NL UK.
I did format all HARD disks because of Mayor virus problems.I reinstalled all the cd drivers Toshiba but stil some of the keys on the keyboard do not work good...
I noticed that some of the keys are on different locations like on a Dutch keyboard.I woul want to set them like they belong on the way in which toshiba set them, with the same 3min.from on the keys...
What do I do? Thanks in advance,
Michel Hoff,
Holland> I reinstalled all the cd drivers Toshiba but stil some of the keys on the keyboard do not work good...
> I noticed that some of the keys are on different locations like on a Dutch keyboard. The point is that you have installed windows OS in the language of the Netherlands, but the laptop uses the UK keyboard layout.
Therefore, change to a different language keyboard layout if the keyboard is set to the language of the Netherlands, then you should change this to English UK!Go to control panel-> regional and Language Options-> languages-> text services and input languages tab, click details
There you can add or change the language

my computer turns off, no code error, no blue screen
my computer restarts auto no code error, no blue screen, it might be the drivers that I have installed or? What can I do to solve this problem or found out how to solve this problem
Hello Shelly,
Drivers could easily be the cause - or it could be quite a few other things.
I recommend a restore of the system to a restore point before you did what you did (when it was working fine). If you use Windows 7, seehttp://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/700-system-restore.html. If you are using Vista, seehttp://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/using-windows-vista-system-restore/. If you are using XP, seehttp://support.microsoft.com/kb/306084. Sometimes this simple process made the rounds and sometimes that doesn't help - but it is easy and worth if she has recently begun.
Good luck!

get an error on blue screen ATI2DVAG infinite loop and I am looking for a suggested solution for XP.
Hello jvecc,.
Thank you for visiting the Microsoft answers community.
This problem is caused by a defective unit or a device driver. Visit the website of the manufacturer of your computer or see if AMd drivers directly will work for your hardware configuration and then uninstall and reinstall your drivers.
Hope this helps Chris.H

Error 0x0000007B blue screen VM boot with 32-bit Windows 2003 using VMware Converter 4.0
Error 0x0000007B blue screen VM boot with 32-bit Windows 2003 using VMware Converter 4.0
I want to create a virtual machine using VMWare Converter 4.0 from an Acronis True Image to ESXi Server 3i .tib backup file. The conversation seems to be working, but when I try to start the virtual machine, it begins to start, displays the Windows 2003 splash screen briefly and then fails with a blue screen with the following error:
STOP: 0X0000007B (0XFFFFFADFD520F3C0, 0XFFFFFFFFC0000034, 0 X 0000000000000000, 0 X 0000000000000000)
Looking through the forums I've seen this error mentioned with 64-bit Windows 2003, but no mention of 32-bit?
Any help much appreciated.
THX
> Thanks, unfortunately the .tib Acronis True image files do not work with Converter 3.0.3
You already have a virtual computer that start - it's just bluescreens - so no need to run the full convert again.
Juist use Converter 3.0.3 to configure the virtual machine - part seemed to have failed

Equium A100-549: blue screen error during installation of the recovery CD
Hey,.
I recently bought a Toshiba laptop computer, everything worked perfectly until my laptop was attacked. I've got rid of the virus and went to reformat due to a lot of problems that occur. The main one being a mistake has cursed and 'Blah blah' program must be closed. As I continued to get loads of errors.
http://aumha.org/win5/kbestop.htm
The types. Now then reformatting disk Toshiba said just put the disk in the drive and turn off. I did very well. The said toshiba drive press F12 on startup and then click on run the CD. The CD starts and gets half way thro reformatting.
Suddenly, I get a blue error screen. I thought oh well ill reboot and continue. This is where the problem started. Because I was half way thro removal/reinstallation of windows I was missing some files. I'll reinstall or try to use the Toshiba CD, I get a blue error screen.
0 X 00000050: PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
(Click to consult the Online Win XP Resource Kit article, or see the Windows 2000 Professional, p. 1548 Resource Kit).
The requested data were not in memory. An address of invalid system memory was referenced. Defective memory (including main memory, L2 RAM, RAM video cache memory) or incompatible software (including remote control and antivirus software) might cause this stop message, as may other hardware issues (for example, incorrect SCSI termination or imperfect PCI card).Any ideas what I can do? I don't want to return the Toshiba laptop to fix However im thinking this is the only way out.
Please if repplying try to keep technical language to a minnium. Thank you, Dan.
Hello
It s very strange because the installation since the Toshiba Recovery CD should work properly and without any blue screen message.
Usually, if the BSOD appears if there is a serious software problem or something wrong with the hardware.
I don t think that the software on the CD of restoration could be corrupted.Have you tried to install the OS from the original CD of Microsoft Windows? It would be very interesting to know if the blue screen also.
However, I think that your laptop is new and the warranty is valid. In my opinion, you should ask the after-sales Service of Toshiba partner to help him because guys could start the diagnostic test and can find the fault.

Equium A100-549 - fails to start - error reading disk
My A100-549 is 4 months old and worked fine. today when I started it, I got the message "a disk read error occurred press ctrl + alt + delete to restart»
When I do cela the computer tries to start, but I got the error again. I've considered using the product recovery disc, but I just got the same error message!
Can anyone help?
@rich1005
You didn't answer the question of redhawk s!
I agree with the previous user, and I think that it s a hardware failure. In this case, you can do anything you can ask only the service partner for the help and for the replacement of the device
