Error: "Tuner not found" with Windows Media Center

Original title: someone at - there a solution to this problem of Tuner not found with Windows Media Center? I tried for several years to find an answer to this embarrassing problem without success.

I did just about everything, including a restoration of the complete system without success. It would be nice to be able to use my Windows Media Center to watch live TV and record programs I would like to see later.

There is a great thread to

with people have reported this problem with this tuner.

Unfortunately, it looks like the only solution people have found is to replace the
Tuner with another brand.

I don't know if it's the hardware failure or something else, but looking at this
wire, if it was ME, I cut my losses and replace the tuner.

Whenever I have try and watch live TV or recorded using Media Center program, he starts to play to repeat the first second of audio for about 6 seconds and then stops playing gives me an video error and won't let watch me something else. If I stop and try and then click RESUME He stutters and gives me this video error.
It used to work fine until I started to play with the audio settings from 5.1 to 7.1 audio in the windows configuration settings. I changed the settings in-game your 7.1 speakers. Actually I tried to switch back, but when I try to 'Test' the speakers it gives a sound like it is stuttering and I still get the video error when I try to play. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Problems with Windows Media Center cumulative update 2

    Hello

I tried to set up my xbox360 to work with windows media center.  Whenever I try to install the Update Rollup 2, he created a restore point and as soon as he arrives to install the fix, says installation failed and my computer must be restarted or something to that effect.  I did some research and found the threads on the .NET framework 1.1 Hotfix and checked for her and she does not appear in my programs add/delete, menu, so I don't think that may be worth.    It drives me crazy, any help would be appreciated seriously.

Yes - you will need to reinstall Windows to fix.  And, Yes, you will need to backup your data first and reinstall all your programs later.

I'll post instructions later tonight (they are on a machine at home).  In the meantime, now is a good time to start copying all your data to elsewhere.

    Kind regards
    Chris.

Please help me to answer the question.

    Hello

Thanks for posting the question in the Microsoft Community forums.

According to the description, you need to know more about the Tv tuner and tuner Radio (FM) for Windows Media Center.

To listen to the FM radio in Media Center, you will need a tuner FM connected to or installed on your computer and an antenna connected to the tuner to receive a signal. FM tuners are very similar to TV tuners in fact, many TV tuner cards have a built in FM tuner.

  • Windows 8 Pro with Windows Media Center

I intend to buy a new program, and the specs say that it runs on Windows 7 or Windows 8 Pro with Windows Media Center.  If this program will run on Windows 7, why didn't it work properly on Windows 8?  Why must it be Windows 8 Pro with Windows Media Center?  What is exactly the difference or the differences between Windows 8 and Windows 8 Pro with Windows Media Center?

I suggest to check if you are able to convert the files into a format supported by Windows media player and then try to read files and check if the problem persists. You can download any third party software to accomplish your task by conducting a search using your favorite search engine.

Note: Using third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be solved. Software using third party is at your own risk.

  • Burning DVDs with Windows Media Center

Why does take so long to burn a dvd of a movie that I recorded with Windows Media Center Vista?

Is there another way to upload videos/movies recorded with Windows Media Center on a dvd?

I have Windows Vista Ultimate 64.

What determines how long it will take to burn the DVD?

The following factors play a role in how long it will take to burn a DVD:

    • Available system resources on your computer. The speed of your computer processor, the amount of available disk space and amount of RAM play a role in determining how long it will take to encode the video and burn it to a DVD.

    • The speed of your DVD burner, as well as the type of recordable DVD media you are using. A faster DVD burner with faster recordable DVDs results in a decreased once burning, compared to burning a DVD with a DVD burner slower more slowly the recordable DVD.

    • The length of the video on the DVD. When you use Windows Media Center to create a DVD, all the video and audio must be converted to a file format audio and video that a DVD player can decode and play. Long videos take longer to burn.

You can include digital images and music on the DVD when creating a slide show. Photos and music are encoded in the MPEG-2 and Dolby audio, Digital video format and consequently, they will increase the time it takes to create and burn slide show DVD.
