  • Error "FAILED TO CONFIGURE UPDATES of SYSYTEM REVENANT of CHANGES DO NOT turn OFF YOUR COMPUTER"

    Respected by all,

Could someone help me please with the problem. I can't access the windows at all. It has blue screen that says "FAILURE TO CONFIGURE updates SYSYTEM RESTORE CHANGES updated DO NOT turn OFF YOUR COMPUTER" pls help

You may need to stay on this screen for not more than one hour, if there are serious problems with Windows Update.

If you can always access your PC after waiting, turn off your PC. Then turn it on, immediately pressing F8 constantly. Once you get a black screen with options, select Safe Mode with the arrow keys and press enter on your keyboard.

Once Windows finishes loading of files, you can start in safe mode, where you should be able to log on normally. You will notice that the screen resolution has changed, and when you log in, you will see a black desktop computer. This lets you know that you are using safe mode. Once you log on, restart normally.

    Greetings,

I installed updates in my Windows 8.1 partition.  Then he asked me to restart the computer, and the message "we could not finish updates, exchange loss, do not turn off your computer" appeared and was on-screen for hours.  I thought to reinstall bootcamp but I have software in the Windows partition that cannot be recovered.  I read that one of them starts Windows in 'Safe' Mode, but this is not possible. I use a MacBook Pro (retina, 13 inches, early 2015) OS X 10.10.5

How can I fix this without wiping the Windows partition and lose my software?

    (b) type the following commands. Press enter after each command

    • DISM.exe / Online/Cleanup-image /Scanhealth
    • DISM.exe / Online/Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

    OT: Windows Update failure 8.

I recently re-installed Windows 8 using an old product key once I updated my PC using Windows 7 due to failure to boot Windows Technical Preview. The installation went smoothly, but when installation is finished, he told me that I had installed updates, for the most updated security. I installed them and restarting my PC, he has said configuration Windows Updates... Do not turn off your computer. It is immediately followed by updates default Windows configuration . Restoration of the changes. Do not turn off your computer. It accomplishes this task for like 10-15 minutes and then finally starts. Once my PC starts, this cycle starts again. So far, happened 4 times.

  • "failed to set up the windows updates. returning from changes. do not turn off your computer.

    Hello

I get this error "failed to configure windows updates. returning from changes. do not turn off your computer. The computer is a Samsung Ativ tab 5 and I got it for a little over a week.
I have updated with the SW update
The results of the troubleshooting online are:
    Problems encountered:
Recent updates - not fixed installation problems
Search for missing or corrupted - files detected
Some security settings are missing or have been modified - fixed
Registration for the service is missing or corrupt - fixed
    Windows Update error 0 x 80070490 (2014-02-10-t-11_25_11A) - fixed

I have been through ALL the steps as described in http://support.microsoft.com/kb/949358. I have had no success.
One thing that bothers me, is in the configuration of the system, I have a service called true vector Internet Monitor (Zone Alarm) and when the value disable as in http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135, it is the only service still running when you perform a clean restart. I don't know if this affects the Automatic Updates/configuration or not.

    Hello

Thanks for trying to help. Now my computer seems to be up-to-date.
I followed your steps but MicrosoftFixit50202.msi did not like "my OS is incompatible. I use windows 8.  I couldn't run this in default or aggressive.
I did go in Control Panel and disable antivirus and firewall Zone Alarm and reset Windows defender by default.
I did IE default web browser I have prob changed when I got to the computer.
I then returned to set up a clean boot and this time I managed to disable the true vector Internet Monitor (Zone Alarm) to run.
I ran the reset troubleshooting of Windows with the same result as before is to say:
Recent updates - not fixed installation problems
Search for missing or corrupted - files detected
I think I have restarted my computer at this stage and then tried to update again.
It has not yet, but with the error, I got an error code and a link to help. I don't have not noticed this before. I followed the help and ran about 5 command prompts that have to do with the renaming of files I think.
Then I tried updating again and this time 38 45 updates succeeded. I then ran the update again and it seemed to work on the other 7 updates.
Although Windows Update said I was now updated, I was skeptical as when this whole thing started is started when I got the "windows installs updates" and then "failed to configure updates. Returning... etc"then I restarted my computer. At the start, there was no message on try to configure the updates, then, how do I know they are configured and working as it should?
    Thank you.

    • I inserted the cd 'Réinstallation DVD Windows Vista', but it won't pop up any kind of prompt for me to do something with it.  I tried putting the cd in what was on the computer and tried leaving him in and restart it - but the cd has no EFFECT.
    • I used the F8 key and I tried the following with no luck: safe mode, safe mode with network, safe mode w / command prompt, enable logging, last known good configuration (Advanced) boot and debug mode.  Most of these options make the monitor off (to make you think he will do something), then it just restarts and did the thing reboot loop again and again.
    • I also tried the repair your computer option to the F8 key.  He asks me to log in as an administrator (but my password does not work).  So, I use the menu drop down and choose the name of my computer and then use my password, and I can connect to "restoration of access options '.  Once I'm in the "System Recovery Options".  I tried the following with no luck: Startup Repair tool, restore the system, Windows complete PC Restore, Windows Memory Diagnostic tool and command prompt.  THE only ONE that I HAVE NOT YET TRIED it IS THE "DELL FACTORY IMAGE RESTORE", it's because I want to try to fix it without losing everything on my hard drive.  Here are the details of the I've tried in the "System Recovery Options".
    • The command prompt says: 32 X:\Windows\system > (I have no idea how to use it, but it's what he says)
    • The memory diagnostic tool reboots the computer, but nothing new happening (just reboot over and over again)
    • In the PC restore full Windows: I tried to put the Windows Vista CD in, but it can not find a valid backup location
    • When I click on the system restore: it is said: "no restore points were created on your computer's system disk.  To create a restore open system protection point.  When I click on the system protection, it is said: "your computer is running in a limited diagnostic State.  If you use the system restore in this limited State, you can't undo the restore operation.  Help topics are not available in this State. "  So I press OK, and I'm back to square one.
    • When I click on startup repair: it says "Startup Repair could not detect a problem.
    • I know there are many many posts on this problem, and I think I've tried all the suggestions on how to solve the problem, but they do not work for me.
