Error with Adobe Reader

I'm putting it on a page that requires adobe reader... I click on the link it will not come to the top, the error message is the problem with the Adobe reader... so I click on a different site on the same page and it happens with the help of adobe

Hello
If Adobe Reader opens fine on a webpage or link and PDF files locally, it probably isn't and issues with your system.

It could be that the site or the link to the file is broken. I would try to refresh the page to see if you have just a bad cache of the page. Go to the page and press F5 and try again.

If this does not work, let us know the site and the file you are trying to open.

Hope that helps!

  • Print PDFs with Adobe Reader error

Sometimes when I try to print a PDF with Adobe Reader, it will print the first two pages OK, then the rest will be ruined. This may be the cause for this?

Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

Probably a printer driver problem.  Try to update the printer driver to the latest version from the manufacturers Web site and check the printer cable is properly connected and is directly to the printer.

Reinstall the latest version of Acrobat (you must download it, install it, then check the updates, thanks to Adobe being so weird not giving the latest patches for download), and then try again. Hello JohnDeCastro,

    Thank you for posting.

Ppl repeatedly face problems when opening. EXE files.

    • The EXE file opens in Notepad.
    • EXE file opens in a few other installed programs.
    • Windows displays the 'Open with' dialog box to select the program.
    • Windows displays the error message "Windows cannot find .exe file. Make sure you typed the name correctly.

Most of the time it happens when you accidentally replace. Type of exe to Folder Options settings. Sometimes, it can happen due to the virus.

In any case no need to worry. Here's a solution that will fix this annoying problem:

    1. open RUN command prompt by typing the command in the dialog box.

    2 provide now following command:

    cd\windows

3 it will activate the Windows folder. Now provide following command to open the Registry Editor:

    Regedit

    4 now goto following key:

    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.exe

In the right pane, change the value of default elements exefile key

    5 now goto:

    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Exefile\Shell\Open\Command

In the right pane, change the value of the default key to:

    "%1" %*

6 that's it. Now, quit the registry editor and restart your Windows. Now you should be able to open EXE files without any problem.

Please let me know if this helps you.

  • Problem with Adobe Reader 15:3

I get an error message when you try to open a document that allows you to work in a program before.  He has a problem with Adobe Reader/Acrobat (15:3). Anyone know how to fix this?

    Hey, Katalin.

Open Adobe Acrobat Reader DC, go to the Help menu and repair the installation.

If it does not solve the problem, you can try to uninstall Acrobat Reader DC & reinstall it using this link Adobe - Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Distribution.

Let me know if the problem persists.

    Kind regards

  • Problems with Adobe Reader with Windows 7

I have big problems with Adobe Reader. It won't open / display PDF files and ends on its own!

Assuming you have XI player installed, here are some things to try...

    • Using Windows Explorer navigate to C:\Program Files (x 86) \Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader, and then double-click Eula.exe and accept the license agreement
    • You can open Adobe Reader by itself?  If so, try to disable the Protected Mode [Edit |] Preferences | (Improved) security].
    • If Reader opens in itself, try to disable the Safe_mode in the registry; Download, unzip, then run the attached registry script
    • It might even be a malware problem; See http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/reader-core-dll-error.html
  • .Pst files corrupted due to wrong trying to open it with Adobe Reader

This is a second post about the same problem, as previously, I had only one response (from b. from), who asked me to identify my operating system. I am beyond desperate to get this problem fixed.

As described previously (S giraffe - 11/14), I was about to apply a recovery program of electronic mail to some .pst files when, somehow (late at night / tired), I clicked by mistake on 'open with Adobe Reader. Then the disaster! The Adobe Reader logo appeared on the .pst file icon - and also on all other files in the My Documents folder .pst. When I tried to open them I got the following error message:

"Adobe Reader could not open '.pst Outlook (_)' because it is not a type of file supported or because the file has been damaged."

I went back to my drive hard new exernal decompress the original backup files, but these, too, all of them had the logo of Adobe Reader on their icons and brought the same error message. How could try to open a file .pst with Adobe Reader have affected each other .pst on my C drive and in my external hard disk file?

I need to retrieve my emails and contacts! Can anyone tell me anything that allow me to fix everything that makes the Adobe Reader for my .pst files and bring them back to their previous state. I would be extremely grateful.

Adobe Reader 'did not' something to your PST file, but you have probably changed the file association by leaving "Always use the selected program to open this type of file" checked.

What you need to do is to reset the file of Adobe Reader software association and for example replace SCANPST. EXE

If you have a recent system restore (before changing the file association), the restore save point point.  If not, you must manually change (be it in the registry, or by opening the file with SCANPST PST. EXE and again always check 'using the program selected... '. ».

  • How to open the files .dll automatically with Adobe Reader via Firefox?

    Hello

When I print labels eBay via Firefox, a .dll file is downloaded. This used to automatically open in Adobe Reader, but now it opens as a text document in TextEdit, so I have to manually open Adobe Reader, change the options to display "all files", then find the .dll file and open it.

When I try to change the default application in the preferences of Firefox, I can't find anything with the content type "dll".

Is there a way to have Firefox automatically opens files .dll with Adobe Reader?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

    Steve

Sorry for the delay, but yes, just stop Firefox so that the mimeTypes.rdf file is released.

  • Open the PDF with Adobe Reader - wonder what must do Firefox - every time

    Hello

Whenever I want to open a PDF file, Firefox asks me "that should Firefox do with this file.
I opened with Adobe Reader (default) selected and I have the box 'do this automatically... ". "checked.

So, it seems to me that Firefox should not ask me every time.

Hi - I do not always want to ask; I want that he will never ask.

That said, I changed my setting of the option "always ask" and the next time I tried to open a PDF document, the open dialog box to ask me what to do. The box 'do this automatically... ". ' has been disabled, as expected.

I checked the box 'do this automatically... ". "and now Firefox is most requested.

Weird way to solve the problem, but it seems to work fine now.
    Thank you

  • When I open a document in Firefox with Adobe Reader 9, I can't print (no problem if you use Internet Explorer)

I am running Windows 7 (64-bit), using Firefox 8.0. When I open a document with Adobe Reader 9, I am unable to be with her (printing, recording, etc.) another what to see. When I use Internet Explorer I don't have this problem.

The plug-in may not work well in Firefox because you are using an older version of Adobe Reader.

Please note that there is currently a security breach uncorrected in Adobe Reader that is actively exploited by criminals.

The current version of Adobe Reader (unpatched) is:

         Adobe Reader X (10.1.1)

    As an alternative, consider using

You need to uninstall Adobe Reader unpatched software and install one of the PDF readers alternatives to its place as long as product Adobe is fixed, although you may find you like other products all also, or more.
