Errors of reformat and full registry

If I have a registry issue and completely erase everything on my computer via the reformatting, will be solved the problem of registry?

I guess my main question is to know if the complete reformat will restore the default registry settings. A related question would be if there is other ways to reset default registry settings.

Thank you

J

By definition, a clean install is the only way to return to a default value true.

That being said, it is rarely necessary to take drastic action!

What specific question you encounter? It is that there is a MUCH easier and faster solution.

Looks like you used the media to retail with OEM SLP key. an OEM SLP works only with manufacturers of installation media.

change your product key to the one on your COA.
Click Start, type slui 3, press on enter.

before reformat, I used belarc advisor to get the product key. can barely read the print in the contract of affreightment

This key will not work. You must use one on the certificate of authenticity.

    Option 1:

If the COA sticker is damaged, you must use the recovery partition to reinstall Windows 7, it will be exempt from the need to use the product key to activate your installation of Windows 7.

    Option 2:

If your recovery partition is not available or damaged, you must contact the manufacturer of your computer, and request that a defined recovery disk you can use to reinstall Windows 7. They could practice a small shipping and handling. This will exempt the need to also use the product key.

    Option 3:

If neither options 1 or 2 is possible, then you will need to invest in a new license of full version of detail.

Microsoft has a software that cleans, repairs and fix registry errors for free

    On Tuesday, January 18, 2011 20:38:14 + 0000, Tinaya says:

Microsoft has a software that cleans, repairs and fix registry errors for free

N ° and stay away from all these programs.

Registry cleaning programs are all snake oil. Cleaning of the
registration is not necessary and is dangerous. Let alone register and
do not use any registry cleaner. Despite what many people think, and
What software record cleaning suppliers are trying to convince you,
have unused registry entries is not really make you hurt.
The risk of a serious problem caused by a registry cleaner by mistake
delete an entry you need is much greater than any potential benefit
    It can have.
    Read http://www.edbott.com/weblog/archives/000643.html

    and also
    http://blogs.technet.com/markrussinovich/Archive/2005/10/02/registry-junk-a-Windows-fact-of-life.aspx

Let me stress that neither me nor anyone else who warns the
use of registry cleaners never said that they always cause
problems. If they have always caused problems, they would disappear from
the market almost immediately. Many people have used a registry
cleaner and never had a problem with it.

The problem with a registry cleaner is that it carries with it
the risk of a significant problem. And since there is no
benefits of using a registry cleaner, running that risk is a very bad
    good deal.

Our Modem dies on us and we waited for another expedition, we tried to play old games from our old computer that had windows 98. We have now XP and a new computer. But the games would not play because they seemed not compatiable with this new system. Ever since then with the new modem, which is the same as the last who dies, the computer runs VERY slowly and is worse than dial-up, we have DSL. I have Norton 360 and Regisrty Revivier. They seem to help, but after a few minutes to an hour, the system slowes horribly. Please help me! I deleted this remotley near the old games too.

Get rid of the registry reviver (make sure that registry cleaner you are using, some may make things worse) and Norton. What you wanted first of all, have you not uninstall? Do not remove the folder. You will have more probs

During startup, I get an error message that the registry database cannot find a file and modify registry to delete the reference to the file in the registry.  How can I do this?

    Hello

    • What were the changes made before the problem occurred?

I recommend you perform the clean boot.

Configuration of your system in a clean boot state helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem. If so, you need to maybe contact the manufacturer of the program for updates or uninstall and reinstall the program.

See the following article in the Microsoft KB for more information on how to solve a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or Windows 7:

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: After troubleshooting, be sure to set the computer to start as usual as mentioned in step 7 in the above article.

2014.3 is far too buggy and full of error messages. Create problems because I'm on a timeline with my client and I don't have time to fool around with all the problems.

You don't mention what you have encountered errors? Workaround for the problem more frequently reached here is Re: error in Muse: object UID:U6875 has two (or more) owners: U3633 and U3165

If you have a copy of your .muse file that has not been saved by using 2014.3, you can downgrade by uninstalling Muse, and then choose the previous Version in the drop-down list of filters in the Panel of Apps from the desktop creative cloud application. There will be a popup next to the Muse, where you can select a version prior to install.

  • Critical errors dealing with MRT.exe and error messages "Services and controller app has stopped working".

I get two error codes... "Services and controller app has stopped working" and "Windows has encountered a critical problem and will restart in a min. Please save your work." The only time where it does it but when I plug my cable network. Already ran sfc and found nothing. Ran malwarebytes and removed a lot of viruses, I picked up, but I think that something in my registry can be screwed up after trying to remove the said virus. I was getting some kind of error MRT.exe and I tired looking for things to the top on this but I think I can have messed up a registry that was loaded entry of this and it has damaged something.

Someone at - it answers that do not involve me having to reformat and install a new OS. I bought the computer off of a friend and it's a custom-made computer, so I don't have Vista Disc... while hoping a good solution.

    Help me please! :)

If you do not have a DVD of Microsoft Vista, borrow one from a friend.

Read this tutorial on how to do a repair installation:

    Regarding the relocation:

You can borrow a suitable Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, Acer, recovery disk/s etc).
A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.

There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.

If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

  • I need to learn how to remove trojan my computer files and the registry.

    Original title: cleaning your pc

I need to learn how to remove trojan my computer files and the registry. There is a financial has now attached ittibu or something. and how to remove the event source errors and all that is connected to this.

If you make financial transactions online and feel your system has been compromised, the more experienced people will recommend wipe you your HARD drive and reinstall your XP from scratch, but that is not always possible and of course is up to you depending on how you feel about this (you need to feel good about it).

If you still think your system may be achieved a malware, I would do these things before you start any troubleshooting effort:

Download, install, update and do a full scan with these free malware detection programs at:

    Malwarebytes (MMFA): http://malwarebytes.org/
    SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/

They can be uninstalled later if you wish.

Download and run Hitman Pro here and during installation to be 100% sure to refuse the installation of toolbars, decline any e-mail options, nothing to do with Bing or MSN, perform a scan time, accept no e-mail and activate the free license:

http://www.SurfRight.nl/en/downloads/ (make sure you get the free version)

Download and run TDSSKiller from Kaspersky:
    http://support.Kaspersky.com/viruses/solutions?QID=208280684

The scans by operating clean, then to solve any problems.

If you still think that you have any questions, then proceed as follows:

Since the Microsoft Answers forum does not have any kind of information system request when a new question is asked, we know absolutely nothing about your system.  Not knowing the basic information a problem prolongs the frustration and the agony of these issues.

Thank you MS Answers, allowing the resolution of simple problems as frustrating and a lot of time as possible.

Provide information on your system, the better you can:

What is your system brand and model?

What is your Version of XP and the Service Pack?

What is your Internet browser and version?

Your system's disks IDE or SATA drives?

Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc..

The question was preceded by a loss of power, aborted reboot or abnormal termination?  (this includes the plug pulling, buttons power, remove the battery, etc.)

The afflicted system has a working CD/DVD (internal or external) drive?

You have a genuine XP installation CD bootable, which is the same Service as your installed Service Pack (this is not the same as any recovery CD provided with your system)?

Do you see that you think not you should see and when you see it?

What do not you think that you should see?

If the system works, what do you think might have changed since the last time it did not work properly?

If you need help interpreting your logs in Event Viewer, follow these steps:

Here is a method to display specific information about individual events.

To view the logs in Event Viewer, click Start, settings, Control Panel, administrative tools, event viewer.

A shortcut to the event viewer is to click on start, run and enter in the box:

    %SystemRoot%\system32\eventvwr.msc

Click OK to launch the event viewer.

The most interesting newspapers are usually the system and Application logs.

Some newspapers such as security and Internet Explorer may be completely empty or have just a few items.  The default settings for XP wants do not connect all this activity, unless you need to solve a problem in these areas.  If you enable logging for them the papers fill up quickly and could adversely affect the performance of your system with all the extras (often unnecessary) activity.

If you have Microsoft Office installed, it has its own newspapers, and they can be empty or occasional boring activity very little or, if there is no problem with your desktop applications.  It's normal.

Not every event is a problem, some are informational messages that things work very well, and some are warnings.

However, no event should defy reasonable explanation.

Each event is sorted by Date and time.  Errors will be red Xs, warnings will have yellow! s.
Informational messages have white is.  Not every error or warning event means that there is a serious question.

Some are excusable at boot time when Windows starts.  Try to find only the events to the date and time around your problem.

If you double-click on an event, it will open a window of properties with more information.  On the right are black up and down arrow keys to scroll through the open events. The third button that looks like two overlapping pages is used to copy the details of the event in your Windows Clipboard.

When you find an interesting event that occurred at the time of your question, click on the third button at the top and arrows to copy the details and then you can paste the details (right click, paste or CTRL-V) the text in detail here for analysis.  Remove all personal information from your information after you paste If you are forced to do so.

If you paste an event, it will look something like this annoying system startup event:

    Event type: Information
    Event source: Service Control Manager
    Event category: no
    Event ID: 7035
    Date: 14/07/2010
    Time: 17:54:18
    User: Jose
    Computer: computer

    Description:
The Remote Access Connection Manager service was sent successfully a starting control.

To get a fresh start on any log of the event viewer, you can choose to clear the log (the log backup is available), and then reproduce your problem, then just look at the events around your show and troubleshoot events that are happening when you have your question.

  • OfficeJet Pro L7590 cannot find the printer in the basic facilities and full.

The HP solution center software has stopped working recently with my Officejet Pro L7590. The printer is connected to a wired network.  I uninstalled the software, downloaded the latest software to install driver from HP.com.  The operating system is XP. I tried to install the base and full versions of the software several times, do a full uninstall/scrub every time.  No package can find the printer.  I ran the residential network Diagnostic tool and it can find the IP address of the printer very well.  I can access the web page to printer very well.  I've successfully installed the drivers of the company and I am now able to print.  I then tried to reinstall the full version, and it would still not find the printer.  Another pc on the network is the center of Solution HP software installed and communicates very well with the printer. I tried to disable firewall Eset Nod 32 during the install and no change.  I deleted all the entries in the registry I can find for HP, but still can not get the full version of the installation of the driver to see the printer.

What else can I try to succesfully reinstall the driver package?

Sorry, you gave the wrong way...

First of all if you still have Enterprise installed download and important work!

    1. uninstall all other instances of 8.3 or previous.  My recommendation would be to uninstall all software printer hp through Windows Add/Remove Programs if nothing else to start with a base line.

    2. download the Utlities "HP Software Removal Utility - IT professional use only" (don't worry, this stand-a-alone also works on computers). File name: OLProL7X00_Scrubber_8.exe

    3. Once you unpack the latter you will have a new window and down there are 5 files, you must run one at a time in this order.  Uninstall.bat, Unistall_L1.bat, Unistall_L2.bat, Unistall_L3.bat, Unistall_L4.  Make sure that each of them is complete before you begin the following.  Some of them open and close Windows Installer UN and there is a gap of about 10-15 seconds.  Some of them require you to press any key to close the window on the finish.

    4 REBOOT

5 download if you don't have not already ch from the Solution of Driver - company it, basic features of HP software/driver-IT Professional use only (again it is ok, you want your scanner, printer, monitor, and HP Solutions software to work once again don't you?).

6 install the filename Business Solution: OJProL7X00_enu_Enterprise_7.exe if you uninstalled all this will install without a hitch, but you may need to input manually by selecting the IP method, enter the IP address of the printer. It's where he then found my network printer, and he continued the installation.  Mine found via the method of IP but not automatic.  Finish the installation and give your computer a few minutes to finish in the bottom.

    7 reset.

    8. If you have a program that uses a scanner TWAIN as Adobe Professional, CorelDraw, etc. test your scanner.  Mine works now.  Leave the test program,

9 download new version 8.3 software, the full version of all the 311meg of it!

    10. install this software 8.3.  You can get an error (I did) just do not send the report, but the key is the continuous software to install.  What the problem is that the software company alreadly installed a files "hp? 5. ?? "and the cant on write.  The amount of the fine. Now when you get to the point where he asks how you connect your printer, USB or wired/wireless select Wired and click OK.  This will bring you to a new screen that is simular to the last, but to the bottom is a checkbox with "continue with the installation, I'll add the material later.  Put a check mark in the box and click Next.

Surprise! the Setup will continue installing all recommended software and complete.  Still finished once that there is still things going on in the background! then give him a few minutes to complete!

11 restart and give a little time and you will see that the screen is the network printer and all software programs now work.

    12. the only thing I don't understand is this: the old software used to create printer drivers 2, one for the printing of paper and other fax directly in applications.  The fax printer driver is no installation/configuration in this method, but I think that the Technical Support HP can guide you through this set up if necessary.  I'll do that tomorrow as it was something that I never thought or missed until it didn't work!

I hope this helps! It did for me!

  • Reformat and choose to install programs

Hello world. I'm a newbie to an Apple MacBook Pro with the retina having worked only with Windows PCs. I receive as little a MacBook with an operating system just before the release of El Capitan.

I want to reformat and install a new copy of El Capitan, but choose only the programs I want to install. I prefer not to remove these programs later. Is this possible?

I also understand that fragments of deleted programs can be left a bit like registry entries and temporary directories in Windows. Y at - there a (preferably free) app that would fix this please?

Finally, my drive will be 1 TB in size. It is better that drive of partitioning and how do I go about this?

A few references to the URL on how to accomplish these applications would be appreciated without reinventing the wheel.

    Thank you very much.

To start the Mac has no record, so, there is no registry entry on the left.

If you reformat that will remove everything from the hard drive. You will need to reinstall the operating system. They are a few applications that come with the operation such as Safari. You can not delete them.

Everything that you have installed additional software must be reinstalled once more. Each of you, the data must be restored from your backup.

This is a MBPr opportunity, so I would say that you start with a recovery of the Internet which will return back to factory MBPr. After that, you can buy the software on the App Store that you want to install. You can then upgrade to El Capitan. In this way all software will be under your AppleID so that it can be upgraded.

What are alternatives to restore my error active desktop with touching registry in windows xp?

    Hi Zahid,

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

According the information you have provided, I understand that you have found an active desktop error Windows XP.

I will certainly help you in this matter.

Were there any changes made to the computer before the show?

Most of the time active desktop errors are related to the corruption of the registry.

Important: This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs.
