U3415W, Nvidia GTX 460?

Hello, I've had a Dell 24 "LED for almost 10 years now, and I love it. Still running flawlessly and the image has barely faded. So when I saw the U3415W, I already sold. Recently updated my computer to work, but don't have not circumvented to replace the video card yet. #1 this monitor will work with a Nvidia GTX 460 (mini-HDMI 1 and 2 DVI output) and #2 is still going to be able to use the U3415W and my other Dell 24 "? Right now, my 24 two s provide a bit more screen real estate that would be the only U3415W, and what I'm doing, I need as much screen as possible. Thank you!

PS - If the my video card won't support two monitors, you have a recommended video card that would be?

We do not provide a mHDMI to an HDMI cable. So you have to buy one on site. Outputs DVI on Nvidia GTX 460 does not connect to the CDM/DP U3415W unless you purchase a current converter. But it's all theoretical, the GTX 460 do 3440 x 1440. It tops out at 2560 x 1600. You need explore the Web of Nvidia site for video cards that support 3440 x 1440.

    Hello community,

I'm looking to use first Pro CS5 to the video capabilities of first order, but only by intermittent and not need the ultra high performance in need of a professional video editor. I have to upgrade my computer to be able to deal with CS5 and Windows 7 and I am on a budget and looking for ways to cut corners. Read all the specs, it seems that the GeForce GTX series, 285 and the 470 are the ONLY ones that Adobe has certified for all features with first Pro 5.

It seems clear from the comments in the following Adobe blog (http://blogs.adobe.com/premiereprotraining/2010/09/premiere-pro-cs5-5-0-2-update.html), the GeForce 460 does not allow for full functionality in far as Adobe is concerned, despite the fact that there CUDA, DirectX 11 and Open GL 4.1

This confuses me, as the specifications shown in http://www.nvidia.com/object/product-GeForce-GTX-460-us.html do not seem to be very different from those indicated in the http://www.NVIDIA.com/Object/product_geforce_gtx_470_us.html . In addition, I thought that CUDA, DirectX 11 and Open GL 4.1 were important factors for the Mercury engine.

Maybe miss me something, I'm not extremely technologically, but I feel I might be able to shoot really well with 460. Get your opinion on this?

    Fine thanks

    Simon,

The GTX 460 works perfectly with the PR CS5. All you have to do is apply the 'hack', which amounts to nothing more than add a simple line of text in a text file on your system. At the point where you have made your decision and after reading one of the many posts here on the 'hack' and you still can not understand, post here and we can help you further.

  • H8-1170uk: Nvidia gtx 900 series

I have read reports on the forum of people who want to upgrade the graphics cards in their machines, but encountered problems with the boot after installing Pci-e cards, 3.0. I replaced the gt545 provided with my h8-1170 with a gtx 560ti about 2 days after I bought my machine 3 years ago.

Now, I want a 980 but im only going to invest a lot of money in a card that does not accept my machine. Everything in my machine has been upgraded outside the motherboard and processor. 750w 80 more gold power, extra ram, even water cooling and a larger case.

According to GPU - Z my Pci-e slot on the Board of Directors is a gen 2.0 and I know that you can use a map of 3.0 in a 2.0 slot. But I'm still not sure. Any help would be great. Screen shot of GPUz to show my current card is running at the Pci - e 2.0 included.

    Hello

Many more recent graphics cards retro-compatible generation of PCI-E 2 and in a generation of case 1.1. Your concern should be centered around your PC BIOS and video BIOS in the graphics card.

This particular ZOTAC NVIDIA GTX 980is spec'd be compatible to PCI-E 1.1.  Contact ZOTAC and ask questions about compatibility with your particular PC.

Find out what the return policy is before you buy.

Make a measurement inside your PC to let you know how much room is available for a new graphics card.

  • HP Pavilion 500-319na: is it possible to run a NVIDIA GTX 750 Ti?

I was wondering if my computer of 500-319na HP Pavilion could launch a NVIDIA GTX 750 Ti graphics card. It's because I'm not sure if my computer has the right amount of space to be able to fit inside or whether it would be able to manage the energy needs of 300W. My current graphics card is a NVIDIA GT 705.

    You are welcome.

No, if the PSU is not powerful enough to run the card it does not work.  There will be no damage to the card or the power supply.

  • ENVY 15 t-K200: ENVY 15 t-k200 doesn't use NVIDIA GTX 850 M

I have an ENVY 15 t-k200 (K2T37AV) with processor i7-5500u, 16 GB of ram, Intel HD Graphics 5500 and NVIDIA GTX 850 M running Windows 10 64. The problem is running any application requiring the use of the NVIDIA card, the computer does not him.  I went into NVIDIA Control Panel to select the NVIDIA card as the preferred graphics processor and selected the NVIDIA for specific programs, no change in performance.  I've updated all the drivers, no change in performance. On paper, this computer must manage the games and apps that I use without problems, but running 3DMark benchmarks, I get very low scores and any graphic training application that I use is minced.

Please help... How can I get my graphics card work properly?  Is there a bios setting I need to change? Or?

    Thank you

I contacted HP Support directly (funny, I thought it was part of the HP support). In a Nutshell, it 1) uninstall the NVIDIA driver and card 2) downloaded the latest driver from NVIDIA and 3) installed the new driver.  I checked that the computer was once again work correctly, go to the NVIDIA card if necessary using a program of video reference I used to diagnose the problem in the first place.

The problem seems to be that if you're updating the NVIDIA driver without uninstall the old driver first, something is not and the rocking computer is more on the NVIDIA card when necessary. The NVIDIA Control Panel will be simply install the new driver updated without uninstall the old driver. Even if you go to HP or NVIDIA and download updated driver directly, or advisor to uninstall the old driver before you install the new driver.

Even if you install the driver is the latest driver, follow these steps if the NVIDIA card does not work as it should be.

I used 3DMark demo to diagnose my video card, when he showed my computer run better than 0% of the tested systems, I knew there was a problem.

  • NVIDIA GTX 970 problems

So I got a nvidia GTX 970 as a gift from my father and I had a HP ENVY 1420 T desktop computer. Can someone tell me what Power suply I need?

    Hello

This power supply has a maximum rating of 250 watts so that will not be enough.

Try the Corsair CX500 , or CX600.  The CX600 is on sale right now is a better buy.

BTW - Specifications for the h8 - 1420t do not show a 250 watt optional power.

    5120 system memory

    1 TB harddrive

    NVIDIA GeForce 9300GE (Hybrid SLI)

    Hello

The motherboard in your PC has a not very good history.

Open your PC and do some measure to ensure that the GTX 550 will adjust.  This EVGA is a good model, but the ear there are other brands just as good.  The map is 8.25 "long.  The adjacent slot on the PCI-E x 16 slot must be vacant.

You will need a bigger power supply.  A 500 Watt power supply should be sufficient for the GTX 550.

Look at this Corsair CX500. It's good quality food.

You need to open your PC and measure the physical dimensions of your diet.  Here is a list of the things to consider:

    1. Specifications
    2. Total power - important
    3. amperage 12 + v - important
    4. Modular - is not required, but I like the flexibility
    5. Warranty
    6. I7 and SLI ready
    7. Efficiency rating
    8. Cost
    9. The physical size - standard ATX PSU is 5.5 "by 5.9" by 3.4 "give or take a few tenths
    10. Only one + 12 volt rail is a better choice.

www.Newegg.com has many choices of power supplies.  Corsair, OCZ, Rosewill, Thermaltake...

  • Aurora-R5, SLI Nvidia GTX 1080, 850w PSU enough?

    Hi guys!

The new R5-Aurora looks great, so I'm considering buying one, but I have a question about 1080GTX SLI setting. I would buy the 5 k monitor from Dell (UP2715K) as well. So I'd better feed this beast with the installation of 1080GTX SLI! BUT, I knew the Aurora-R5 only comes with a PSU 850w (power supply unit). Is this enough? On area 51 - R2 page noted that it comes with a 1500w power supply to ensure that the SLI Nvidia GTX 1080 configuration has enough power. So how can the Aurora-R5 works correctly with only 850w?

Useful information for configuring, I would buy:

    6700 K overclocked I7
    32 GB OF RAM
    500SSD + 2 TB
    Blu - Ray read/write
    SLI 1080GTX

    A big thank you!

When you choose one of the processors (i7 - 6700K, i5 - 6600K) K, you will need to choose the power 850w multi-GPU approved with the high Peformance liquid of cooling that can perform one of the following OEM video cards in a dual configuration.

    Nvidia GeForce GTX RTYN6 1080 founders edition, Pascal, 8GB, DVI-D/DP1.4/DP1.4/DP1.4/HDMI 2. 0 b, double/single
    The founders of Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 edition 6F651, Pascal, 8GB, DVI-D/DP1.4/DP1.4/DP1.4/HDMI 2. 0 b, double/single
    5NN03 Nvidia GeForce GTX 980 Ti, D17U-40, 6 GB memory GDDR5 DVI-I/DP/DP/DP/HDMI, double/single
    YJ30F Nvidia GeForce GTX 980, 4 GB memory GDDR5 DVI-I/DP/DP/DP/HDMI
    RW8C2 Nvidia GeForce GTX 970, 4 GB memory GDDR5 DVI-I/DP/DP/DP/HDMI, double/single
    H4P1K Nvidia GeForce GTX 960, 2 GB memory GDDR5 DVI-I/DP/DP/DP/HDMI, double/single
    C58PP Nvidia GeForce GTX 950, 2 GB memory GDDR5 DVI-I/DP/DP/DP/HDMI, double/single
    YX6VC AMD R9 370, RD14D-P1-70, 4 GB memory GDDR5, double/single DVI-I/DVI-D/DP/HDMI

If the user chooses the processors non - K (i7-6700, 6400-i5, i3-6100), they can always choose the multi-GPU 850w power supply and run installation dual video card.

  • Dell XPS 9100 compatible with Nvidia GTX 980/970?

All the world either of these new cards video 980/970 series installed in a dell xps 9100? Or whether they will work with the 9100, in particular motherboard/bios original card?

I plan to upgrade my studio xps Dell 9100 (2010 I7 930 12 GB of ram, motherboard Dell 05DN3X Intel X 58 Intel ICH10R) with a new video card in replacement of the Radeon HD 5870. My choice of card is the new Nvidia GTX 970.

The GTX 970 and 980 GTX are based on the new Maxwell Nvidia cards with high specifications on page and good price. While they are not suitable for the power of the XPS 9100 (two GTX cards consume less energy than the 5870), I don't know if my original xps 9100 motherboard (with a bios updated from July 2014 on the site of dell driver) is compatible with the gtx 970. BIOS office 8700 recent Dell was not compatible/created a problem of black screen, and Dell has released a updated Bios updated for the 8700 in December 2014 that apparently works fine now with the 980/970 series. I wouldn't drop the $350 on a video card that didn't work with my 9100

I use the Dell 9100 for video editing (Sony Vegas Pro 13, Hitfilm 3, NewBlue and other programs based GL/CL) works more 3d animation with iclone (who prefer Nvidia). I could probably get another year or two out of it with a newer video card... otherwise I'll put all useful to a construction of the self.

I'd appreciate any comments on it. Maybe Chris from Dell of this forum would know that he shares the fix for dell bios enabled the 980 work with 8700.  Thanks to Chris if he answers or if he can answer my question gtx 970 for me and other 9100 owners.

Just this moment installed a MSI gtx 970 in my 3 1/2 years, xps 9100. Original motherboard. The only thing I've really updated over the years is the memory.

    Processor Intel Core i7-960 @3. 2 GHz (8 MB L2 Cache)
    16 GB OF RAM, DDR3 PC3-10600, DDR3 PC3-12800
    NVIDIA GeForce (r) GTX 970 4 GB
    Dell XPS 9100 desktop
    Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit) SP1

525 Watt POWER supply was more than enough. You must use both the point 6 and point 8 plugs not one or the other. Biggest problem was to find a second source of power. The 6 + 2 plug, but don't think that the other was there. He was and is buried in the middle of a wire harness. A sheet of plain to 6 points. Just enough.

It works like a charm. Not at all of the start-up problems
