  A few years back when Hyperion introduced the Smart View add-in, I remember that the sales and marketing guys said that the add-in Essbase would be finally eliminated gradually and that Smart View it would replace as the best way to access the applications of Essbase\Planning\HFM.

  SmartView is the strategic direction for Oracle. I saw that in a number of presentations. In fact, it has all new development on the typical add-in in a while. New functionality is added to smartview and extends beyond the range of products with OBIEE Hyperiion now as a source of smartview.

  The only issue I know with users making a lock and send from the typical add-in is a direct shipment does not impose the same restrictions, as do the planning forms.   Go ahead and install the equipment.  If you're worried, see the web site of the manufacturer to ensure that you have the latest version of the driver there (it may be newer than the driver on the CD that came with the hardware).

  I have no problem to install the drivers c309a using a Win 8.1 operating system that has all the undates installed, so I can print, however the software suite to operate other functions will not be installed.  When you use the latest version of the software of HP to win 8.1, it downloads and unzips but nothing after decompresses happen.  The Task Manager shows the configuration of the Installer (32-bit) HP running.  I left the Installer run for over an hour with no progress.  I repeated this process several times without success.

  I contacted HP and they told me the c309a printer is not totally compatibility with Win 8.1 in what all functions like the fax and scanning will not work.

  Also, I can see the printer installed from its address of sea.
