  It's my first time installation/experience Windows 7 Pro and I am writing to ask if there is an option for install the OS with the partitions, boot & system settings control?

  As long as the disc is not pre formatted before installing Windows 7, the installation, Windows will create the necessary partitions. Also if you choose 'custom' / clean installation option will ask you as to where you want to install Windows.

  I looked around and looked for my problem-related entries in the forum, but I couldn't find anything...

  Here is my problem:

  * New server Fujitsu TX200 S7:

  2 x Xeon CPU / 64GByte = 16GByte RAM 4 x / 4 x SAS HDD 600GByte / RAID LSI Ctr RAID0/1/5/6/10/50/60 mit FBU - Erw. + Modul TFM / DVD - RW / embeddet USB Device of the UFM

  I experienced enormous problems to start with the installer of vmware esxi 5.1 (or 5.0) CD ROM or esxi host 5.1.

  What works with the above server:

  * Install it is an os windows 2012 std server on the raid system is executed without absolutely no problems

  Start the success of server std 2012 win every time.

  * Setup a esxi host 5.1 on the server, but only subsequently install Fujitsu «server see DVD»

  What does NOT work with the above server: (every time, never had a successful boot)

  Booting with the esxi 5.0 installation CD original fujitsu - fails!

  * Start with one (from vmware) downloaded fails - esxi 5.1 installation CD!

  * Start with one (from fujitsu) downloaded fails - esxi 5.1 installation CD!

  Start a successuflly by the Fujitsu 'Start Server CD' installed esxi host 5.1 on this server - fails!

  * Test: start without lsi sas controller (without any disk hard sas) - the server starts faster (without the lsi raid controller firmware)-, but fails.

  * Test: starting with half of the installed RAM - fails!

  The symptoms of what happens during startup and cannot:

  * First step of booting (bundle of progress on the top of the screen) will run successfully

  * During the first seconds of the second stage (starting ESXi Kernel, beam of progress is displayed on the bottom of the screen), the computer did a hard-reset and the startup process begins once more.

  So I don't know what I could do.

  Because all windows system works perfectly, I would exclude a hardware error

  On the other side, Fujitsu specifies this server with this equipment compatible with esxi, then I do not understand that no esxi (Installer) will be initialize to top.

  So, what could be the reason why the software does not start?

  How can I know the reason why the systems do not initialize-go to top?

  Since there is no integration PAM for ESXi, you cannot authenticate to ESXi itself using active directory.  -What are you talking about?  You can always have virtual machine with windows and active directory.

  I have a new version and install with Windows 7 and Firefox 4.0 Beta 1. I downloaded AFP 10.1 several times, but cannot install it. I get a dialog box on which the SETUP option is grayed out until you accept the contract become.  By clicking on that link takes me to a list of Adobe product licenses, select AFP 10.1 taking me in a document of 280 pages with many languages, from (I think) with Arabic. You are looking for an 'English' found nothing.  I see no way to indicate that I have read and accepted the FPLSA.  Through the links in this Forum, I found a copy in English but no way to make a link to the installation process.  I can therefore not an active installation option.  (I have not tried to install on IE 8, but there are often specific browser versions of such software and I usually use Firefox).

  I didn't see anything relevant in the Forum or the FAQ and would welcome a solution because a lot of things online requires Flash.  Thank you.

  It's been a while since I worked with the CF based storage so forgive me if this is a silly question!

  I remember at the time of ESX 3.5 when a host is created, it is strongly recommended that you unplug your HBA as the installer ESX 3.5 was inclined to wipe your FC LUNS during installation.

  Is this always the case? If I add a bright new ESX5.1 host in a cluster existing I have to disconnect from the connected FC SAN for the generation?

  No, during the installation of ESXi, it scans all the storage controller and storage/LUN connected to the server. Setup ESXi offer screen user input to select the storage that you want to install ESXi and installation takes place on the selected disk.

  If you are using a scripted installation, make sure that mention you the right VMHBA device in the KS file and remove the firstdisk option. For even if the device driver of the CF charged first by ESXi, KS file controller resumes the VMHBA right for installation.
