Eve matrix platform Oracle

My version of oracle is 11.1.0.6 running on linux 5.3 (64-bit). I need to create a watch on this. But I have a server available with windows OS.

Can someone help me to share the OS compatibility matrix to create the standby database?

Kind regards

Yes, to release 11, you can run Eve physics Data Guard between Linux and Windows.

    Process of installation is very easy, it should start installing with Oracle Database 10g companion CD, select Oracle HTTP Server and go step by step with the wizard.
    You can read the documentation on HTTP Server Administrator Guide here http://www.stanford.edu/dept/itss/docs/oracle/10g/server.101/b12255/toc.htm

  • The 32-bit platform has been abandoned for JDeveloper 12.1.3?

    This thread was created to prevent the diversion of this similar thread:

    https://community.Oracle.com/message/12509733#12509733 (when the new version of Jdeveloper will come including ADF mobile framework?)

    I have replied to this thread and inadvertently ask myself a question:

    always 32-bit will be supported?

    Timo Hahn replied as follows:

    If you check the matrix certification Oracle JDeveloper and ADF 12 c (12.1.3) supported systems , you see that only the windows 64-bit systems are supported. You can try the generic installation program that can run windows 32-bit inn.

    That is why this thread for my question.

    Certification for 12.1.3 matrix lists only the 64-bit systems. It is not clear if the support of 32-bit system only has not yet been made public or if Oracle has abandoned in favor of the 32-bit platform JDev framework and SDK extension.

    We have tried to create and manipulate Developer extensions sql for several years, but there have always been problems; in particular, the absence of sufficient documentation for changes between sql developer and framework Jdeveloper, he comes and the lack of any official source for XSD schema files necessary.

    The last issue was the transition to the new OSGI framework for these two products.

    Developer 4.0.2.15.21 SQL is supported on 32-bit Windows and use the Jdeveloper 12.1.3 framework which, until today, NOT went public.

    I posted a question in this forum and the developers forum sql on a problem of Extension when you use the JDev 12.1.2 and Sql Dev framework.

    https://community.Oracle.com/thread/3566788

    This code example, I provided in this thread appears to indicate the following:

    1. a bug in the version of sql developer 4.0.2.15.21

    2. a bug in Jdeveloper 12.1.3

    3. an incompatibility between this version of sql dev and the 12.1.2 Framework SDK extension my sample uses (since 12.1.3 was not available

    So I'll try to understand what JDeveloper and Sql Developer extensions will be cared for and on what platforms.

    If the Jdev 12.1.3 framework won't be supported for 32-bit, which probably means that extensions for 32-bit versions of Sql Developer will not be supported.

    But this version of Sql developer is publicly available for 32-bit systems and its architecture makes heavy use of the extensions. So he itsn can't clear at all whether the general public can develop extensions for 32-bit sql developer if Jdev 12.1.3 framework is not available on this target.

    One of the problems with the use of JDev to create Developer extensions sql was that developer sql was NOT available as a target platform for the deployment.

    I expect Oracle to announce a delivery date for a 32-bit version of the JDev framework. But since the 64-bit version was only published and that Sql Dev is supported on 32-bit platforms and uses a (perhaps in-house) version of the 12.1.3 framework I hope that Oracle could at least tell us if a decision was made to abandon support for the 32-bit framework or not.

    If this isn't the case, then the third party extensions won't be able to support the 64-bit versions of JDeveloper and Sql developer.

    Hello...

    We (JDev) support still 32-bit JDK. The change you see is double: 1) we distribute installers with the 32-bit JDK built, 2) we no longer run tests on 32-bit JDK. However, visitors are always entitled to support when executing JDeveloper in a 32-bit environment. The availability of 32-bit computers and operating systems capable of running JDeveloper fades quickly. Only 64-bit supports fusion Middleware, but for development only (JDeveloper) we continue currently to provide 32-bit support. This will ultimately change in the future (in the same way that we no longer support 16-bit architectures), but the time is not yet known.

    Also, I just want to point out that the support of 32-bit is mentioned in the doc certification here:

    Other operating systems Updated Oracle JDK 1.7 51 + (32 bit, 64 bit) Updated Oracle JDK 1.7 51 + (32 bit, 64 bit)

    and here

    Gets the support of other operating systems (untested), including 32-bit JDK, for the purposes of a single user in a development only environment. Not planned for production deployments.

  • Oracle 11.2.0.1.0 not supported for planning?

    I just noticed this entry in the matrix of the platform:

    Oracle 11.2.0.1.0 database is supported only for: calculation Manager, EPM System Installer (requires 11.1.1.3.05), EPM Workspace, Integrator ERP, Financial Reporting (requires 11.1.1.3.28), Performance Management architect, Shared Services (requires 11.1.1.3.11)

    OK, so I guess that rules out 11.2 as an RDBMS supported for Hyperion Planning 11.1.1.3? I imagine something more low, say 11.1.0.6.0 or less should not be a problem then?

    Or is not officially supported, it will work very well what that means? Don't bother taking the chance, even if it's good?

    Oracle 9.2.0.5 by Oracle 11.1.0.6.0 are supported.
    11.2.0.1.0 not supported, it can work but use it at your own risk, because it is not currently supported.

    See you soon

  • How to connect to Oracle 12 c with SQLPLUS 6i

    Hi people:

    I have people who still need to use the client of 6i SQLPlus.   They were able to connect to our previous database (11g R2) ok.  People who use more recent versions of SQLPlus can connect ok to the Oracle 12 c database that we use.

    Does anyone know what setting (and how) I want to change the database Oracle 12 c to allow access to an earlier version of SQLPlus?

    Thank you

    Matthew

    I have people who still need to use the client of 6i SQLPlus.

    6i is not the version of the Client, but the forms & reports one, the version of the Client is 8.0.6, too old to be used with the database of 12 c.

    See MOS Client / Server interoperability Support Matrix for Oracle Versions (Doc ID 207303.1)

    BTW, I tried with a client 9i, and I've got ORA-28040: no authentication protocol matching error, as mentioned in the document and 8.0.6 is even two older versions.

  • Failed to start oracle-ohasd, error: ioctl inappropriate for the ohasd device was able to start to roothas.pl

    Hello

    I am trying to install the Oracle 11.2.0.1 on Oracle Linux 7.0 database 64-bit deployed on VirtualBox. I'll put up a single on making ASM instance database so the grid on a stand-alone server installation. I launched the installer of grid with YES. When I run the script from root

    /U01/app/grid/product/11.2.0/grid/root.sh

    I get the following error:

    Default: no such file or directory for the command/sbin/initctl start oracle-ohasd

    After installing Oracle Linux 7.0 there is no/etc/init and also no/sbin/initctl created automatically under Linux. I don't know if these directories need to be created automatically or not?

    I googled this problem. Most of the solutions is like this:

    """"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""

    Hello

    Problem is indeed due to the incompatibility of the upstart/init. Here are the average working:

    1) proceed with the installation as usual until root.sh invocation.

    (2) prior to root.sh edition $GRID_HOME/crs/install/s_crsconfig_lib.pm, go to line 1173 (you should find a code like: if ($srv eq 'ohasd') {# OHASD Start).

    (3) insert a following code snippet before starting the game OHASD (line 1173)

    My $UPSTART_OHASD_SERVICE = 'oracle-ohasd. "

    My $INITCTL = "/ sbin/initctl;

    ($status, @output) = system_cmd_capture ("$INITCTL start $UPSTART_OHASD_SERVICE");

    If (0! = $status)

    {

    error ("' cannot start $UPSTART_OHASD_SERVICE, error: $! '");

    return $FAILED;

    }

    (4) create a file /etc/init/oracle-ohasd.conf with the following content inside

    # Start OHASD oracle

    start the runlevel [35]

    Stop the runlevel [. 35]

    respawn

    exec /etc/init.d/init.ohasd run > / dev/null 2 > & 1 </dev/null

    (5) call root.sh

    (6) complete the installation.

    If you have already run root.sh (unsuccessfully), simply roll back:

    $GRID_HOME/crs/install/roothas.pl - deconfig - force - verbose

    Make changes above and continue.

    """""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""

    The part above is not the solution!

    How to solve the problem?

    Thank you!!!

    Hello

    I've created a Mobile Application using ADF framework in JDeveloper. The application works very well on the 4.1.2(API Android 16) , but when I deploy on Android 4.4.2 (Api 19) it shows error like this

    adfmf: ['Device', 'getDeviceInfo","Device0", true]

    adfmf: ['Network status', 'getConnectionInfo', 'NetworkStatus1', true]

    gap_callbackServer:

    These three errors come several times, then application keeps loading and nothing happens.

The WLS server has been installed without any problem also (WLS1036_generic.jar for 64-bit). When I go in the folder of disk 1 of Oracle reports install files and click on Setup.exe, a command window opens with the following message:

    Oracle Forms and reports 11.1.2.0.0 is not supported with Java JDK 7 according to the matrix certification Oracle Support: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/forms/oracle-forms-11gr2certmatrix-519680.xls

    It's specific to a reason why you use version 11.1.2.0.0 more precisely? If you're looking for the latest version of reports and forms Oracle 11 GR 2 (if you are working with forms, reports, or both), exists in version 11.1.2.1.0, which is the latest version available and contains the latest patches to the patch. You can find the download at the Oracle's Web site: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/forms/downloads/index.html

    You can use JDK with forms/States 11.1.2.1.0 7u45 because it is supported by Oracle Support certification matrix for 11.1.2.1.0: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/forms/oracle-forms-111210certmatrix-1886127.xls

    In addition, you can always use WebLogic 10.3.6 as it is supported with forms and 11.1.2.1.0 States.

    NOTE: When you start the setup.exe to install forms and reports 11 GR 2, I highly recommend right-click on setup.exe, then select "Run as Administrator". You must have administrator privileges to install the software.

    Thank you

  • Who should own oraInventory when you have the separation of the roles (grid and oracle)?

    Version of grid Infrastructure: 11.2.0.4

    Platform: Oracle Linux 6.3

    For the separation of roles, we have created a grid and oracle users.

    grid-> to manage the network infrastructure, which includes ASM

    Oracle-> to manage the RDBMS

    GI will be installed under the /grid mount point

    RDBMS will be installed under the/U01 mount point

    Who should be the owner of oraInventory in such a scenario? grid or oracle user

    Where oraInventory should be placed? Under Mount /grid or/U01 point?

    Who should be the owner of oraInventory in such a scenario? grid or oracle user

    Better choose grid if you use the separation of roles.

    Where oraInventory should be placed? Under Mount /grid or/U01 point?

    As long as oracle and grid users have rwx privilege on the inventory directory, you can place on a consistent OFA or nearby location OFA compliant.

    Personally, I prefer/u01/app/oraInventory

    Approval should look like below

    $ ls-l/u01/app/oraInventory

    drwxrwx - 6 grid oinstall 4096/u01/app/oraInventory 13 August 2012

    Its better for itself an inventory centralized for GRID_HOME and ORACLE_HOME. It is easy for opatch auto work properly with a properly configured central inventory.

    The grid and oracle users must have the Oracle inventory group oinstall as their primary group, so that each owner (grid, oracle) Oracle software installation can write on the central inventory.

  • Oracle 11 g 2 on SLES 11

    Hi all

    It's my first time to install 11 GR 2 on Suse, and it is so traumatic: (.)

    Can you help me which version of SLES linux 64-bit only Oracle 11 GR 2 is supported to run?

    I installed SLES, but there is a lot of lack of RPM. I don't know even what version I got.
    The file given to me by the sysadmin is > SLES-11-DVD-x86_64-GM-DVD1, SLES-11-DVD-x86_64-GM-DVD2
    So it must be SLES 11.

    Can you help me find good documentation for the installation of GR 11, 2 on SLES?

    I have a lot of mistakes like display not set, test xclock, colors not 256. The documentation I had does not validate these...

    I have create oinstall group or is it mandatory?

    Thank you very much

    Yxz

    Hey yxes2013,

    You can check your SLES version with this command: cat/etc/SuSE-release

    According to this page: https://www.suse.com/partners/alliance-partners/oracle/matrix.html Oracle 11 g is certified for SLES. So you shouldn't have any problem installing.

    And in any case, the error you mentioned messages aren't on the installation, they are on X-chart starting. I guess that you connect to the remote server with SLES and you try to boot the graphical installer, that's why you have this error. You must set the variable to DISPLAY the IP address of your machine and remote graphical test with the xclock utility.

    Describe in detail what you are doing, try to install Oracle.

    Standby Redo Logs would not be on the main database until you perform a failover operation. So, I would say, you can create 3 groups of newspaper waiting to roll forward the primary database.

    I would use the statement ALTER DATABASE add STANDBY LOGFILE GROUP 4 m SIZE. Which would create fa OMF file?

    The files are on OMF. So your above command would work perfectly.

  • Primary - eve app has the problem

    Dear all,

    I have a primary - eve of installing oracle 10 g 2 on Linux. My backup database is a database of physical intelligence.
    It was working fine since there an abnormal reboot on the computer to sleep. My primary database OEM says:
    August 7, 2011 11:28:46 Data Guard of STANDBYDB status is error ORA-03135: connection lost contact. It shows in detail: error ORA-01034: ORACLE is not available

    Now the problem is that my archive logs is not applied to the standby database. When I query on the primary database, last few records are as follows:

    Select sequence #, applied to the order of v$ archived_log by sequence #.
    10541 NO.
    10542 NO.
    NO. 10543

    YES 10509
    YES 10510
    YES 10511
    YES 10512
    * 10513 * YES

    Waiting since sequence 10513 newspapers are not applied.

    I have already check now:

    (1) my physical standby database is in State of Mount and listener is
    (2) I can't tnsping my database primary data pending
    (3) I can see the archived logs is passed from primary to standby, are there physical files.

    Kindly help me to solve this problem.

    Thanks, Imran

    You can see the values for ORACLE_HOME used on the backup site.

    I would say looking for multiples / characters, or a leak late in the ORACLE_HOME /.

    A mismatch between the value in listener.ora and the value defined in the shell over that Eve was launched could cause something like this.
