• How can I get the data view to display the same amount of time I save?

  I use the Sound and Vibration Measurement Suite.  In the data view, I display a graph of time, the power spectrum, the Color Map and the waterfall.  I am also showing strength in numbers group for several bands and doing cutting-edge research.  I record 100 ms of the transient wave.  In the data view, why the temporal plots show several seconds of data?  What determines how much time will appear in the data view?  More important, the power spectrum reflects the power for the entire of several seconds of data displayed?  Same question for power in the values of band and cutting-edge research.  I want to just this data displayed for 100 ms of the wave that I record.  So, how can I get the data displayed (waveforms) and power numbers come only 100 ms of the recorded wave?

  Finally, what is the best way to make account concisely the recorded data?  By slide numbers on the Documentation tab is not concise, because it comes with graphics, etc..  I tried save as ASCII/LVM, but I get a bunch of stuff intermiated I don't care.  Help?

  SignalExpress is programmed to display graphs with default scales based on the type of action, it's reading. These scales and settings can be changed by right-clicking on the graph, and then select Properties.

• Cannot scale manual setting of the time in the data view - returns to autoscale on track

  There was a similar post someone SignalExpress assessment but they have not answered follow-up questions.

  I can't set the time scale (x-axis) in the data view.  When I deactivate autoscale and manually enter a value, it seems to change, that it appears correctly in both the preview and the data display pane, until I hit, then it returns to the autoscale.

  It's maddening.

  To resolve this problem, you must right-click on the graph in the data view.  Select scale X"uncheck Autoscale.  Then, double-click most value and change the value for the value of low/high range for the desired field of view.  Change the scale of this way back not to Autoscale during execution.

• Evolution of the data center: N7k or C6500

  I am curretnly studying how our data centers evolve.

  For physical physical architecture:

  -We have 2 data centers, L2 interconnected at 10 Gbps.

  -On each data center, 2 x C6500 serve basic and distribution at the same time.

  -The access layer is to C3750G, connected to the chassis base with 3x1Gbps etherchannels.

  -No server rack blade for the moment.

  For the logical aspect:

  -L2: we use STP lying on the 2 DC

  -L3: Core are connected directly to the MPLS cloud. We use the VRF.

  The next evolution of the server would be to replace the stand-alone servers by blade, connected with 10 Gbps.

  I was hesitant on how to improve the current design, and I'm not sure the + and - 2 (except that Nexus need investment)

  (1) keep the C6500 and:

  -Add maps to 10 Gbps on the C6500 (16-port cards)

  -use VSS on the two site to simplify the design STP (even though we have had no problems with it so far)

  (2) replace C6500 by Nexus7K for greater flexibility with 10 Gbps

  (3) as an option, add a distribution layer N5K which would simplify the wiring and allow a possible evolution FCoE (in this solution, I would keep C6500 as base or evolve N7k).

  This is going to be a very controversial topic.

  Let's not talk about budget here because it could become very dark.

  The 6500 Sup720 or Sup2T (I still prefer the latter), is very good when you aggregate a significant amount of some 10 Gbps and 1 Gbps and a handful of 40 Gbit/s.

  The Nexus family is very good when you want to consider a few 100 Gbit/s, but a significant amount of 10 Gbps.  NEXUS is also the way to go if you want to connect your Fibre Channel switch DC as Nexus will support 1, 2, 4 - and 8 Gbps FC.

  Nexus 7 K can support 100 Gbps (two per card online), 40 Gbps (six per card online) and of course 10 Gbit/s (up to 48 by card online).

  Very quickly, the will be some service modules that will be introduced for the Nexus 7 K.  They are WAAS, ASA and a NAM.

  There will be life with the 6500?  In some cases, Yes.  It is still is not clear if ALL the 6500 service modules will evolve into the Nexus.  In my view, the three modules, I have just mentioned is to "test" the waters.  Once the momentum has been achieved, the others could follow.

  There are rumours abound that there could be a possibility of Nexus 2 K which will support the PoE.

  Do not understand why the action button could be pushed out, especially that just by changing legs content are deleted. You reopen the tab or restart sqldev?
  As for your question, just hit Preferences - database ObjectViewer - settings - clear .

  Hi, is it possible to display a string (e.g. "no data") in responses instead a NULL value in a column of a table or a PivotTable? I read everything by using the formula in the column section in the answers, but I do not understand what expression should be used... could you help me?

  You must do this in the business model and the Mapping layer

  Go to the properties of the column

  1. in general tab, you have "use existing columns of logic as a source.
  Select this check box. Click the period (...)
  In the formula for the column, you can add the condition of ifnull
  In this col formula editor, you can choose the logical columns.

  2. on the Data Type tab, you have the maps and logical sources

  I thought he is most likely to the worksheet grid go wrong - where you would hit the persistent settings button to delete, compared to the tabs in the object browser (where the user does not query the grid).

• How to use the data binding on a cluster?

  I just discovered the data binding and used it on some primitive controls/indicators. I love the cleanliness of the approach (no additional querying and son required!)

  Now, this page gives to think I can link a cluster with a shared too variable. However, when I right click-> properties, I see that the tabs appearance and Documentation (and I know that I did not accidentally choose an element inside the cluster, because (1) there is a typedef strict, and said the title of (2) 'The Cluster Properties' dialog box). Where can I find the data binding tab?

  What you're doing is possible if you make the file .ctl as the definition of type rather than a strict definition of type. With a strict definition of type all instances of the same .ctl file link that is why you cannot use data binding.

• OBIEE Mapviewer 11.1.1.7.1 cannot change the data source

  Add the DB details

  Save & Restart is updated the file xml but not displayed on the data source tab.

  But where as the other details of DB, I am able to add without problem, then if I click on change by selecting the data source to add/edit the details required to DB I get following error.

  Source of data editing is not yet supported. However, you can delete and re-create it with the new settings.

  and on the Management tab is not showing me any option to add the new source of data manually.

• Import the data on large patterns dictionary... I'm doing something wrong?

  I understand that when I'm working on a model and you want to add a few new DB objects to my relational model of DB (say a few tables) or compare the changes in my relational model for data dictionary - I need to use the import data.  However, when I have a grand scheme of DB (some of our DBs production have hundreds of thousands of objects), it takes an absolute age.  I want often only import a few things or work on the designated items.  For example, 3 tables with the prefix CUST * or compare a few tables, I changed in my relational model for a target given DB, to generate a specific DDL script target.  But I think I have load the list of DB objects?

  Is there a way to prefilter the items recovered by the import data dictionary? e.g. Select the types of objects to include (in my case TABLES only) in the extraction and a filter name on them (in my case 'CUST')?  I don't want to get the entire schema each time just to compare some things, it is almost unusable because it takes forever!

  Not that the diagram does not have a connection with the database, so if someone changes the database there is no way of knowing without run the import again or to do the sync I described (unless you have a process of change management nice where the developers actually connect database changes).

  You could do a CTRL + A (select all), and then run the synchronization. That you will get a list of all of the objects shown in the diagram from the db.

  To filter this list in the dialog box to compare,

  1. Click the tabular view tab
  2. Select "Modified" in unrolling status
  3. Select 'Table' in the Type menu drop-down

  Then you are back to opening to the bottom of the shaft on these items to see what has changed.

  So I have to the templates in the designer of... One for the flat file... one for planning.
  
  I did the opposite of the planing model succesfull, and she filled with all dimensions.
  
  Now, I want to do the opposite for the file also.
  
  But when I'm walking back on the model of file it says... cannot reverse the file template, go to the columns in the data source tab and then do the opposite.
  
  I created a server manulayy Say for accounts Dimension data, went on the colum tab, then did the revere, he succeeded.
  
  But the problem is that the columns are like c1, c2, c3... so on.

  If your file as header records make it sure in the files tab set heading 1 then when you reverse the columns that it must pick up the column headings

  Hi, to get the name of the month you can use MONTHNAME (date_expression). For the year, you can use YEAR (date_expression). I suppose that these two might meet your requirements.

  Alternatively, you can click on the properties of the columns, go to the "data format" tab, choose the custom date format and give the 'custom date format"yyyy MMMM for desired results

  Hello, I can't understand how to set acrobat to save a file so that when the recipient opens the bookmarks/thumbnails pane is closed. And make of this my fault so I don't have to edit every single PDF file I have that create/save. Can someone help me please?

  Hi Laura,

  1. Once you have created your PDF file in InDesign, Word, QuarkXPress or other, open it in Adobe Acrobat Standard or professional (you cannot use the Player Adobe free to follow the steps below).

  2. choose file > properties

  3. in the properties of the Document dialog box, click the initial view tab at the top. Then, set the layout and magnification options as you wish. Note that you can specify where to open the Navigation to the left of the screen panels, layout, magnification, what page the PDF file opens to, if you want that the Acrobat window resize to the size of the page, if the window should be centered on the screen and whether or not you want the document opens in the mode full-screen (useful for presentations).

  

  4. click on the OK button. No magnification and page layout of the document will not change at this stage.

  5. save the PDF file, close it, and reopen it. It should reopen with the options that you specified in step three. These options override all settings specified by the user in the preferences.

  OK, I see the question... to version 8 of Acrobat sourceset Dom was locked so that if you try and change you will get security errors.

  Down is a solution for sunbathing with current versions.

  The other option is to target your form for an earlier version, when this restriction did not exist. In the properties of the form vhoose a target version of the 7.0.5 and your code will work fine (no error).
