NI1433 trigger camerlink Cam

Hello

What to do | : the ni1433 should trigger a camera above the line of CC1. Are there examples in the web?

I can set the camera to switch with the command CC1 source, but what VI is used?

Help-> find examples

There are examples in there to trigger the 1433.

  • Integrate the external trigger into camera (PCI-1424)

    Hi all

I use a PCI 1424 acquisition card to take the image of a Kodak "camera".

Currently, I put the camera on a continuous mode - in which the camera give me frames one after one. I am able to 'snap' or 'capture' images of MAX with the help of the camera file. I can write a simple VI for 'break' a single image in LabVIEW.

Now, I want to go to the single camera viewing mode. In this mode, the unit will display a single image to a trigger signal (the rising edge of a singal TTL).

I wrote a short program for parallel port allows to send this signal triggered at the camera. The increase in power to the camera temporialy, I know that the camera captures an image.

However, the question is how can I nathalie caron this image?

What I do now, is to select 'snap' a picture to the MAX and allow a delay of 10 sec. After you click on the snap, I'll go to LabVIEW and send the trigger signal to the camera.

However, in MAX, I altenativley had a black and white image that is of the Court a false image.

    does anyone know the reason?

and how do I integrate the VI trigger in the captuire VI image, so that I can finish the task of single capture inside a VI?

There is a sample VI "Grab.vi triggered" in which user can set waiting time and other properties for IMAQ1394, but I do not know how to PCI1424

    Thank you very much.

    Dear John,

    I have attached this VI.

    LabVIEW 7.1

    Framegrabber: PCI 1424

Trigger the camera: after set us the camera in mode single shot (by rider material), I just need to send a signal of TTL and the camera will trigger in the front of this signal. So I schedule a pulse to the OID 0 pins at this TTL signal output.

  • the trigger for camera AVT Pike-based software

    Hello

I'm using labview 8.5, as well as the acquisition of vision (IMAQ-dx, latest version) software, to control a cross beam motion detector and AVT pike camera using a high speed cable IEEE 1934 (800mbps) b.

I wish to have a trigger internal (software) control system and have no problem to get Boolean cross beam sensor signal or run indepedently of the camera (about 300 FPS).

The problem is the trigger.  I have a problem with where to put the camera vi in the relation to the probe wiring diagram.  In the image as an attachment, I have the sensor in a loop and the camera, in a nested loop.  However, when I trigger the camera manually with a push button, the sensor stops running.  And when I try to control it with the sensor instead of the push button, I can boot, but cannot stop the camera.

Basically, I just want to know if there is a method of internal trigger to control camera image recording.

    Thank you for your time,

  • SONY should 'go' trigger 'in camera' radio... LEAD market

Sony needs to solve, but my guess is that it should be done with a new Flash and a radio Sony Radio Flash system system.

There are a number of small problems (60 m), most will never know (opinion). Flash Delay, overheating and Hot Shoe Lock goes soft and not locking down.

I hope that SONY will be available this Flash RADIO system 'with' receivers that you can buy to trigger all your legacy strobes and flashes... a the RadioPoppers, who has done this for years. and very long Distances.

My preference is a menu more like the Nikon CLS (in private), so you can quickly and easily see your groups settings, get to them and change them... to the 'less' of groups of three (3) (and hand)... the Sony Ratios are the most.

Now, imagine a SONY high end camera which BUILT in Radio Flash Trigger? (it will have WiFi as it is)

Which relies on the "edge of the camera" then the trigger off-camera Flash. (do not attach another flash to your small camera... but with UPDATED it is still possible if you want her but she "should" be an option, not a must.

IF SONY does this... then you 'really' speak a Flash Sony's advantage. And honestly for PRO, Sony NEEDS photographers who.

and Sony has produced electronic another accessory that they can sell with cameras and Flashes.

Sony could also manf a portable strobe to TRAVEL (which is TTL, stiff tail / short for Sports and with power... and can use the popular softboxes) cool how would that be?

Just my opinion, coming from Nikon CLS,

Great ideas, Hawaii-Greek! We will convey your thoughts to our engineering team. While we cannot guarantee that this product will be available, the feedback you and other members of the community give help understand us how we can improve our products.

  • How to trigger the camera and light pulsed with PCIe-1427

    Hello

We recently bought an acquisition card NI PCIe-1024 and the NI Vision Builder.

I am new to imaging applications and need support to get started.

    Application:

We have a camera viewing a scene which is illuminated by a pulsed light source (e.g., a strobe).

We want to use the PCIe-1427 as the master for the outbreak of the camera and strobe light.

The first trigger (Ch 0) transmitting signals TTL to camera to 30 Hz (30 fps).

The second trigger (Ch 1) send bursts of pulses to the strobe light to e.g. 10 kHz. This trigger must only send impulses all other images, so that we can save alternating light and dark images in order to perform background subtraction.

I tried to set up the channels of the trigger and create virtual channels in the measurement and Applications Explorer, but apparently this is not possible.

Since it is an application critical time, I'd appreciate an example vi that sets up the channels two trigger and download managers in the camera to get started on this application. Thank you.

Software of NEITHER: LabVIEW version 10

Materials: Device for the Acquisition of Image (IMAQ) PCIe-1427 driver Version: NOR-IMAQ 4.4 OS: Windows 7

    Thank you, Justin.

I'll copy this request to the machine Vision Group as you suggested. I looked at the link sent you me and made progress (limited). I can see on an oscilloscope trigger signals, and the camera acquires images. However, I only managed to do work for pulse trains continuous, not a shots or bursts of pulses.

No need to answer that. Thanks for your help.

  • cannot trigger time DAQ and camera

    Hello

I want to synchronize a camera and a pressure transducer. The pressure transducer is connected to an NI USB-6251 housing.

I use a TTL signal to trigger (trigger signal is from a Labjack). If I only connect the camera, I can trigger without problem. If I only connect the DAQ card, I can trigger without problem. If I use a T-connector for both trigger the camera and the DAQ, only the DAQ card card is triggered.

An idea of the source of the problem and how can I solve this problem? Thank you!

    Charlotte

OK, so I checked my TTL signal, and it was disrupted once cut in two. I pulled out another TTL signal such as the camera and the DAQ card each has its own TTL trigger: it works well and now I can enjoy my weekend )

  • Trigger camera to acquire multiple images

I have a camera for Imaging Source and it captures only one image for each external trigger pulse. But I want it captures 3 images. Y at - it any idea how do?

The Datasheet for the camera DMK 23UV024

    Steps performed so far:

    1. Generate the trigger of a datagenerator pulse and trigger the camera
    2. Developed a LabVIEW program that can capture images on the trigger
    3. I have two different images to grab for a single trigger, since the camera captures a single image for each trigger, it will create confusion as to what trigger image belongs to who. How can I solve this problem.
    4. The idea is to capture 2 images that based on 1 trigger pulse without any interference between the two images

With a few exceptions, cameras provide an image by trigger.  There are some devices that allow you to set a registry value to capture multiple images, but you would need to have one of these cameras in the first place.

  • camera to trigger external AVT timeout error

    Hello forum,.

I have external trigger problems for work to the MAX with my AVT F032BC camera Pike.   I was able to get the camera both in labview and MAX (at 800mbps using firewire 1394b) using software release, but I can't get the switch to work.  Whenever I try random configurations in MAX to trigger mode (mode of 0.1, 15; and each setting relaxing high or low), it just expires when I press grab.

I have a trendy 12 hirose connector on it, with the trigger (4 pins) and GND (pin 1) connected to a TTL pulse generator (5V high low 0V; a relaxation area who worked with another camera).

Any ideas why this happens?  In addition, anyone know of documentation for the implementation of an external trigger with camera AVT?

    Thank you!

    Veritas

p.s. I also tested it with the example of NOR, triggered grab, but it also expires, or will be set on the trigger 'off' option when I start the program execution.

Without triggering, everything else seems to work very well.

PIN 7 (I/O ground) and PIN 4 (GPI1) for trigger connections. Tyr, you'll like it

  • Prevention of timeout to trigger

Hi, I use the 1427 OR with a camera NIR Goodrich 640 x 512.  We use an external source to trigger the camera and the time between two pulses of trigger is sometimes longer than the time-out for the camera (I immediately the value 2000 ms).  I would fix rather a delay of 10 seconds for the camera and I was wondering if there was some funciton of that I could call before calling the imaqGrab function to see if the camera has actually aqcuired a picture and was ready to be "seized."  Thank you!

    @FeralPhys:

I think you can set the timeout much higher. In fact, we have several projects where the expiration time is set to infinity.

The question is, how do stop you grabbing, while he is indefinitely stuck waiting and you must stop the application. You can do this by making a loop of parallel execution, which close the session IMAQ if stop condition. After the closure of session IMAQ, IMAQ Grab stops with an error (which you can easily manage).

We use this approach generally with IMAQdx, but I think that it works with the same way IMAQ.

  • How do I auto detects the target using the trigger VBAI mode

    Hello world

I had a vision system of machine ready to take choose using VBAI 2013 sp1.  Also, I use a sensor switch to trigger the camera to take pictures.

When I type the loop running, it just won't continue to take photos no matther switch sensor triggers the camera or not.  I think it's the step that I used for the recording of the image, in the stage of registration of the image, I used picture newspaper still, but I don't want to use which is only what inspection status allows no other choice.

So, how can I let the unit wait until he got the trigger of the alarm switch signal, and then take a picture and save the image?

the stage of inspection to acquire the image, I used the trigger mode and everything worked fine, except the time error settting upward, I used 5000ms and if I put bigger like the 50000ms, VBAI turned really slow and showed time out error.

If anyone can help me on this matter?

    Thank you

You can use the diagram States-transitions to go only in a State based on the result produced by some steps.

First, remove the registration step of the image of the State to check with you get the image

Press Ctrl + E to turn the main view on the state diagram.

Right click and create a new State.

Right click on the State to inspect and create a new transition to this new State.

Double click on the transition to edit it.

Choose to acquire the Image - waiting time and set the condition false, to spend in this state when there is no timeout.

Move the default transition from that State to the final State.

Click on the new State to select it, and then add the image registration step.

Using a state diagram, you have programmed an inspection that will record the image when there is no timeout.

The State-transition diagram is a powerful tool to add a logic, branching and looping of your inspection.

Open the tutorial 5 - state diagram Branching.vbai and tutorial 6 - State chart Looping.vbai for examples on how to use it.

    I hope this helps.

  • a trigger to take multi images

    Hi all

I use a F031b Pro of Guppy, which is equipped with trigger Mode in bulk.  This mode I take multipule frames with an external trigger.

I want to take two image each trigger and save them. But I have no idea how to achieve this function with IMAQdx.  Is that what someone had done it before and can give me a hand?

I'll use Grab or "IMAQ make image"?  I will use a whileloop do twice the picture get excuated or the VI will automatically grab the two images?

    Thank you very much!

    Wen

    Cody A., Kyle T.,.

I have already programmed a VI include the trigger mode 0 (edge triger), triggering mode 1 (trigger level) and in bulk trigger.  I followed the IO camera that can show me the camera exposure time. And I found after each trigger, the camera did show twice.

Will I put the buffer number 2 if I want to use the trigger in bulk?

How to read the two images in my stamp?

    Thank you very much!

  • IMAQ Grab Acquire.vi error when you use an external trigger on a card NI PCIe-1433 (sync problem?)

According to my recent post on getting up and running with the NI PCIe-1433 camera link card, I ran into a bit of a snag.

When you use the internal trigger on the camera, everything works 100%. I can view all the data from the camera in MAX as well as in the labview project. However, whenever I have set the mode switch is where things start to fall apart.

    What I have confirmed:

-Camera is switching between inside and outside triggering.

-NI PCIe-1433 camera link card is set up properly. While in external mode, I can trigger the camera by using a function generator and check the wire to the MAX. Everything works fine.

When the unit is in external mode, the function Acquire.vi enter IMAQ - my mistake VI. The error is:

    Code :-1074397150

The possible reasons for a timeout.

Now, I have it set up so that a mistake here will not end the LabVIEW file. Sometimes, data of interest makes however (about every 10 seconds-ish). So what seems to be the case, it's that this external trigger signal is not in the lineup when the clamp is attempted. Is it possible to synchronize these? May reference the trigger signal external sort in my LabVIEW project so that the clamp is performed only when that trigger impulses?

So I solved my problem. He was in time. The external trigger that I used for the device was simply too slow. I was initially using a trigger from 2 Hz to be able to view the values changing on LabVIEW probes. But it was enough to get enough data to move above the camera cable to assemble a picture and kept it in time. Travel up to 9 kHz solved the problem. No adjustment to the camera settings or LabVIEW code was necessary.

  • GigE camera - image grab bars

    Hello world

I use or acquisition of vision to capture images of a GigE camera.

I get images just as I trigger the camera - rates so so good.

All other photos shows a few black bars.

Anyone have any idea what it could be?

It is not the hardware, the camera works perfectly with the shape of the manufacturer's software development kit.

    Thanks for any help

Looks like an incomplete picture, this could be caused by the missing packets.  To prevent missing packets when the acquisition, you can do two main things: the size of the packets configured on the camera may not exceed what the network card can manage and ensure that the bandwidth of the output of the camera image data do not saturate interface band bandwidth.  I would reduce the packet size of camera for 1500 initially to determine if the size of the package is the cause of the problem.  You can throttle how much data that the camera can send by manipulating the interpacket delay, some manufacturers have a very handy feature called StreamBytesPerSecond.  According to what mechanism, you can use, increase interpacket delay or reduce StreamBytesPerSecond.

  • snap camera three GigE

Hi AllI use LV8.6 and 8235 PCIe card with 3 cameras GIGE (Prosilica 780c) on a PC running XP sp3 with latest drivers of vision. My application requires that the PC receives an external trigger with a sensor via a card PCIe-6320 it is then used to go into a loop. In the loop, an image is captured, then treatment is carried out before leaving the loop to check once more for relaxation. The main point of the loop, it is that the image is acquired as soon as possible after the trigger is received and always so. When you use the "continuous" configuration and "get image" as next with a rate of 60 Hz images could be 1/60 s after the outbreak. With the help of 'one shot' mode worked perfectly with a single camera, but failed with 3. When running 3 with a simple vi below a certain number of images would be acquired before the vi randomly encounter a delay in "get image" 5 seconds exactly.  I have overcome this by placing the 'configure acquisition' out of the loop with mode set to "continue". I played a bit with many settings of the device to the MAXIMUM, including bandwidth, exposure times, sizes of packages etc. nothing works. Someone at - it ideas as to why this happens and is my solution OK.? thanksDarren

    Darren,

The attribute default time-out in IMAQdx is 5000 milliseconds.

You trigger the cameras with a hardware trigger? You must make sure that synchronize with when you configure and start the cameras.

  • Several cameras for machine vision

We would like to use Vision Builder I do Visual inspection of our products. Due to the large size of the object, we might need several cameras

to do this. Is it possible to use information from several cameras to Vision Builder or do I have to use several constructors of Vision at the same time? Are there

    other solutions?

    Kind regard

    Bert

Certainly, Vision Builder AI can handle the acquisition of several cameras. If you trigger the cameras, the software can process even the images that have been acquired at the same time (although sequential processing steps, the step of acquiring image can be synchronized with other CQI steps if necessary for your application).

The software includes templates to illustrate several different architectures of camera (see the new Template Inspection option under the new Inspection during the creation of a new inspection of the splash screen), and here are a few documents area dev that may also be useful:
