  It is part 2 of my first thread where I asked how to apply the temporary license for 60 days of ESXi.  I have registered and the license key.  A few people sent me the link on how, but I don't see the option to license being mentioned in this guide.  I pulled to the top of my vSphere client, connected to ESXi.  You click home under the Administration section, the only icon I see is roles and system logs

  You need to use the method in the link that has been validated license "standalone", not the vCenter one basis:

  To allow a standalone ESX or ESXi 4.x (vSphere Hypervisor):

  1. Connect to the ESX/ESXi host with vSphere Client.
  2. Click the Configuration tab.
  3. Click licensedfeatures of software.
  4. Click change in the appearance under the license tab.
  5. Select assign a new license key at this host.
  6. Press enter and enter the license key.
  7. Click OK.

• Is 3.1EA2 - possible to import reports more?  You see does not Import/Export

  In previous versions, I was always able to exploit the Export/Import features that are available when right-clicking on the user-defined reports. Just try to 3.1EA2 & I'm seeing is more Import/Export menu options when right-clicking. Something I'm missing? Thank you!

  I double checked the properties of database and check the separate option of the query
  
  We need to do a migration RPD prod, but I'm hesitant to do until I find what has changed.
  
  Any ideas on what to look in, I compared it to the layer MDB & physics as well as the allocation of level of hierarchy, but not having luck identifying the problem of the RPD.

  Repository opened in online mode, go to MDB later-> Table (expand it)--> Source (expand it)-> can see list of the LTS-> click soure where this column mapped-> Content tab (last)-> below, you can see the separate selection box.

• New computer, need to reinstall. You see does not Cloud uninstall.

  I have uninstall Acrobat Pro, so I could reinstall on a newly purchased Mac, but the cloud it shows even as installed so I can't download it again. All other apps worked fine. How can I download it?

  Got a chat with Adobe tech support and they sent me a link to download the program. Don't know why the cloud did not recognize my uninstall. But he has now corrected thanks.

• ESX 3.5 does not start with two intel cpu on an ibm HS21 blade 5420

  I have 4 ibm HS21 blades that I bought recently and ESX 3.5 does not start on them if I have both CPU intel 5420 installed. It will start if I remove one of the CPU. This also occurs if I try ESXi.

  I have two blades I bought 8 months ago that work well with both CPU is installed. Blade models are very similar, "old" is hs21-8853a1c new knives is hs21-8853g3u.

  I have updated the bios and the controllers. At this point, I shot two blades of the additional processor so that I can use them but I would really like to put back them.

  Any thoughts?

  Could check you if two microprocessors are executing a different step? If so, then the debate may be relevant here .

  Compress your files, your computer will slow down a lot. I recommend that you don't try this.

  Jpg files horizontal and vertical I'm trying to download for coverage are exactly the 1024 x 768 and vice versa. I have tred exporting to different presets and resoluitions and Folio Builder still will not accept them.

  I know I ran this problem before and I have searched for it in this forum thinking it would have been displayed in all but impossible to find aynthing - sorry if I'm double posting.

  I think I realized my problem... I got 96 DPI selected, when it should have been 72. stupid.

  I created a text for a context menu link. The link works, but the cursor does not change from a pointed finger, the standard link icon.

  So before I bought and placed 4GiG ram in my satellite I looked on the site of toshiba connected and so on... found my cell phone and I noticed Max ram is 4096 M, great, I thought, off I went and got 4GiG ram and installed 2 giga both to make sure that the ram is not defective "", then when the two sticks has been tested and bios and windows that I have placed both at the same time that windows has "known issue" you see don't not 4GiG ram which is OK by me, I guess, but then I noticed that the bios of the laptop sees 3063 Mb which is * very strang me! *

  When I called toshiba, they said yes, you'll still 4GiG of RAM, but what confused me is if I installed then bios should also show the fact that theres 4gig 4gig?

• Time Machine, you see only not the ssd internal

  Today, I had my old OWC replaced for a bigger Samsung 850 EVO SSD SSD internal flash drive.

  I named the new SSD, the same as the old.

  The new SSD is the boot disk and it works without problems.

  But now I see that Time Machine does not see this new SSD (he did see and save the old).

  This rather new Samsung SSD is not supported by Time Machine and therefore not show under the volumes available?

  I already tried the following Terminal command:

  : write com.apple.systempreferences TMShowUnsupportedNetworkVolumes 1

  But no success with that and in my case it is an interior volume, perhaps the command is wrong then?

  Or am I mistaking here and are the Time Machine preferences "Select disk" only discs showing where you can save to and not FROM (in the 'Options' section, you can exclude certain things and it shows the disc)?

• Windows XP, you see only not all files in Windows 7 shares

  I see an embarrassing problem that occur on two different sets of machines on different networks.  The initial symptom that led me to study was that software synchronization third laptop XP Pro SP3 computer a user has acted improperly, saying that some files in directories on a Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit computer were gone, but they really were.

  I traced the problem in several directories on the Windows 7 machine display incomplete content seen on the XP machine network.

  For purposes of explanation, //Desktop/Folder is a share on the Windows 7 computer, which has 167 files it contains.  If you open this share on a networked XP Pro computer, it shows only 140 files.

  For example, File1.doc and File2.doc are both in this shared directory on the Windows 7 computer.  However, on the XP machine, File1 does not appear in the directory.

  On the Windows 7 machine, File1.doc and File2.doc are identical regarding permissions and attributes.  The only differences are the size and creation date.  Look at the rest of the 27 "missing" files in this folder, the results are the same - I see no difference.  The files are not password-protected.

  I have reproduced this exact behavior with the same data on different machines with the same operating systems.  All machines are completely up to date with respect to updates.  There is no detected malware on any of them.  They are on the same workgroup.

  This change in behavior has happened apparently quite recently that the user had no problem with the synchronization software for laptop until last week.

  Can anyone suggest what could happen here?

  I traced the problem to Avast (any flavor).  It turns out that it's a known problem, but not a single notice of too many people.  It is really so when you try to run the software of synchronization between two networked computers and directories that you synchronize are affected by the bug of Avast as the synchronization software performs a very detailed comparison.

  When I uninstalled Avast on the source (Windows 7) XP machine could see all the files in all the network shares.  When I reinstalled Avast, the problem returns.

  I have a ticket in Avast on this problem.

I ran Virtual PC and VMware for about 6 months and all sorts of problems installing operating systems. I just wanted to try something new, but he took too much of my time.
