Expert mode by default

I wish that Photoshop 13 opens in Expert Mode.  Is there a setting, preferably, I couldn't find?

He should remember where you were the last time. So if you are in expert mode when you leave the PSE, it should open next time in expert mode. If this isn't it, try going in the editor preferences > general, click this button, and then by restarting the editor. Then, try to quit again and see if you return to the same spot the next time start you PES:

Thank you for the procedure for installation with a particion.

The question remains: did I receive a CD of Windows XP when I got the computer? Or have I received it because everything is on the recovery CD and I didn't need more to install in expert mode.

By the way: I find it strange that TOSHIBA does not officially inform customers how facilities in expert mode so that a customer must ask another customer for advice.

    Hello

you got when you bought the laptop, a Toshiba Recovery with license OEM Windows XP CD!

With this the user recovery CD has, as you say, 2 possibilities. The standard mode that removes all data and partitions on the HARD disk.
And the Expert Mode which only deletes a selected partition.

The Expert Mode is Norton Ghost with a short menu. If you want to use the expert mode, you should know what orton Ghost file requires!

  • Re: How to use Recovery Expert Mode in Satellite Pro M70-220 product recovery CD

I would appreciate advice on the following points.

My Satellite Pro M70-220 (PSM75E-00D008G3), portable computer has 4 partitions created by Acronis Disk Director costume v9:

    C: OS - Win XP Pro SP3
    D: programs
    E: data & downloads
    F: backups

After you start the laptop in Win XP, I inserted the recovery CD Toshiba in the DVD - RAM drive
and sailed to the BMP file, R:\G_INST\BMP, where I found the file "menu.bmp", which gives 2 recovery
    Options:

    * 1. Retrieve entire hard drive *.
Caveat. All data stored o your computer will be lost.
Preinstalled software factory will be installed.

    * 2. Recovery expert Mode WARNING: *.
This is for PC experts only.
Preinstalled software factory can be installed on an existing partition.

My questions are linked using the "Recovery Expert" Mode:
-I'll be able to use the "recovery of the Expert Mode' the recovery CD to reinstall Win XP Pro (pre-installed software factory) on my C: partition, while affecting only not partitions D, E & F?
-I'll be able to format the C: partition by using the "Expert recovery" Mode, without formatting of other partitions?
-What is the exact procedure of "Expert Recovery Mode"?
-where can I find more information on the procedure of "Expert Recovery Mode"?

    Thank you

    > I'll be able to use the "recovery of the Expert Mode' the recovery CD to reinstall Win XP Pro (pre-installed software factory) on my C: partition, while affecting only not partitions D, E & F

Yes, this should be possible. Using the Expert Mode of recovery, you should get the ghost window where you can select the partition where the OS is to be installed. In this case only that partition would be formatted.

    > will it be possible to format the C: partition by using the "Expert recovery" Mode, without formatting of other partitions?

Yes, theoretically it should be possible.

    > what is the exact procedure of "Expert Mode of recovery"?
As I mentioned above, this mode allows you to restore the operating system on a partition of some and only this partition will be formatted.

    > where can I find more information on the procedure of "Expert Mode of recovery"?

  • Recovery CD expert Mode... Is it possible to save data?

    Hi all

I have problem with my computer, a Satellite 2410-303. Yesterday, there was a power failure, and since windows does not start. The only 'reaction' I get the computer is to use the recovery CD. I had read on the forum and learned the expert mode and I know that you can install windows on a partition, so you can save your data in other partitions. The problem is that I do not did it all, I have just the old 'C:' in there. I really need to retrieve the data inside the computer.

    Hello

Of course, it is possible to create the partition in expert mode.
After you choose the expert mode the ghost window should appear.
There, you have to change the size of the HARD drive to the smaller size.

For example: the HARD disk has 60 GB and you want to have a second 20 GB partition
Therefore, change the size of the 40 GB HARD drive. Then after the installation of the operating system you should get into the disk management and should make the visible 20 GB partition.

OK, this procedure should create the partition but I m not 100% sure if it will NOT delete the existing files on the HARD drive.

However, the 100% safe procedure is to turn off the HARD drive and connect it as an external USB HDD on a second computer and some make some backups from the external HARD drive.
After this procedure, you can reinstall the HARD drive in the notebook, and then start the operating system recovery procedure.

What you see is the tool options palette.

The interface has been changed from 11 items on.

It seems logical to view options when a new tool is selected. If you don't want to, look at the upper right of the tool options palette. You can open a menu in which you remove the check mark in the box to automatically display the tools/options.

When you're accustomed to older versions of elements, it is a good idea to read the section on areas of work and the environment, in particular on the bins.

In PSE14, Photomerge has been moved to the 'guided changes' rather than the Expert mode.

You can still access the same way in the Organizer: Edit menu > Photomerge.
