Export to PDF for the editor?

Hi I have a question August export my document. INDD in PDF format for sending to the printer have I need to do something special with the settings in the box that appears when I export or is - it OK for all leave to its default settings?

Thank you!

Emily

That's why you set's bleeding in your document and use them when you export by checking the above box.

'Aniticipating' is not enough, however, you need to talk to your printer/editor and make sure you talk them both the same page size etc.

  • How can I export to PDF for printing Offset, including colors and grayscale of the photo?

After reading dozens of forum, I not yet found the answer.

I made a photo album with full-colur and b & w photos for Offset print. I want to be for the b & w grayscale avoid the hues of colors possible. It seems that InDesign does not support the shades of gray, how images become dark. Even with export without any conversion of color or the destination and/or including profiles of original colors, the images are exported to obscurity as a PDF to grayscale.

How can I export to PDF for printing Offset, including colors and grayscale of the photo?

Yes, Photoshop & ID CMYK working spaces are the same

This can become difficult because 3 programs manage proofing differently.

Work spaces don't matter, document profiles that handle the preview. So here's the same image in grayscale, placed in the ID on the top and PS on the bottom. I put my info in Photoshop to display the profile of doc in the lower left corner. I can see the profile of my InDesign CMYK Document in my test format (CMYK work is different and is not used). The two profiles are actually the same coated FOGRA39 (Black Ink FOGRA in the case of the PS).

But the previews do not match because I disabled, so the preview InDesign is Gamma 2.2 or a "screen" media preview overprinting.

If I turn on overprint preview, I get a match because I'm soft proofing for printing:

Problem with pdf for the opening of the health gov Web site. I use my ipad in Safari and have installed the application to adobreader. Healthcare gov support only suggested to disable the pop-up blocker. I did, and I couldn't always open the file. No problem on a desktop computer regardless of the browser.

In my view, they spend on their web server to a document ECM server authentication. Someone else has the problem?

I tried the Penguin, Chrome and Atomic browsers on the ipad and the same issue.

Okay, actually, I think that there is a problem with the type of form. It is a form of a special kind (called a form XFA or Designer, for what it's worth), which can be opened with Adobe Reader and only on Mac or Windows. There is no iPad software that can read these.

    I hope it is easy.

    How can I do?

Article links would be fine. There is nothing in the manual of the editor on LDAP or Security (really). The websites I found display a file xml with a series of parameters, but they seem to refer to an earlier version of publisher.

    Should be easy points.

  • Setting the quality of the export of Lightroom for the best optimization for slideshow of Muse

    Hello

I use Lightroom to prepare images that I will use in Muse slideshows - basic slideshow widget.  In LR, I cropped virtual copies of everything in exact proportion, I need Muse.  In the LR export dialog box, I use the dialog box Image size affect my exact pixel for image dimensions - 784x560px, 72 dpi.  In the export from LR > file setting dialog box, I put in JPG, sRGB.

My question is this: what is the optimal QUALITY setting in the export from LR > settings dialog box of the file to produce the smallest file size and maintain excellent picture quality in pages Web of Muse?  The QUALITY slider is from 0 to 100.  In addition, because of my Tablet and phone slideshows are smaller than the desktop slideshow, I would be wise to produce another series of images in LR to each of the three formats, sized for the respective formats?

Note that I do not use the HiDPI parameter in the Muse Site Properties > content.

    Thanks for any help here.

  • Export to Tif for the Yearbook Headshots

    Hello

I'm new to the game of the main portrait and I receieved requirements of the school to the directory. They are as follows:

The specifications for a CD are

    pixel dimensions: 640 x 800

    DPL:250

    format: tif

    color space: srgb

    We answer in sieve: 1.5

I want to export the file to a cd for the customer. I'm ok on the change in the file to .tif format but am unsure of the dimesions pixel for the CD, the DPL and size. HELP PLEASE! Thank you!!!

First thing you need to do is crop the image according to a ratio of 4 x 5:

Then you export your image with the following parameters:

This will give you an image of 640 x 800 pixels with a resolution of 250DPI. What I don't know, is what they mean by "we answer in sieve: 1.5", maybe someone else will know.

  • Export InDesign PDF to the network server becomes invisible

    Hello

Just upgraded to InDesign CS5. When I export a PDF document and post on network server, it becomes invisible. I don't know this because when I exporter export on my desktop, and then drag in the network folder, it gives me an error message that it cannot replace an invisible file. So I found a way to display the file invisible, trashed it, then led one on my desktop in the network folder. Worked well. I would prefer not to have to do this EVERY time I have export to PDF. Someone at - it experience with this issue? Help?

I think I found the answer. On the mac who has had this problem connect the shared drive/server was using Apple file Protocol (AFP) instead of the SMB protocol. Once we changed the connection to this AFP in SMB server all our Mac computers can save directly to the server and files are visible. I hope this helps.

  • Export of goods for the screen, not the right size.

I have a simple rectangle asset of 30pix X 30pix, with no line.

When I try to export in iOS format x 1, x 2 and x 3, in png, the size of 1x.png is 31 x 31. However, the 2 x and 3 x png have the right size to scale.

How make the exported 1x.png image the correct size (30 x 30)?

In order to have the forms to match the pixel grid, you must first make: object > shape > convert to path (or Expand... I'm not sure, have a German version)

In the transform Panel, you can align the to the pixel grid (you may need to "Show options")

  • What are the recommended settings for the export of photos for the web?

I am a photographer, if the images would be used for my blog... and still need of decent looks.
They are also the images that I approach clients, again, they need for decent, but would be the right size for the web.
I played a bit, and when we maintain quality"to 100%, but the setting at 72 dpi, the image remains the same size at 300 dpi.
So I got the quality up to 50%, but even slight vignetting seemed absolutely horrible. (Highly visible sections of different colors.)
    So now I'm stuck.
72 dpi and 300 dpi made no difference in size (cannot explain this one.)
100% quality seemed fine but was too big for the web.
50% quality was mediocre at best.
Any suggestions? What is the standard practice?
    Thanks in advance.

I would use a quality of 70-80 and also resize the image under 'Image size' for example, you pick a long edge of (for example) 1200 pixels.

The ppi (dpi not) makes absolutely no difference, it's completely out of words and useless in this situation, as you found it. Just ignore it.

  • export web fonts for the copyright watermark

I'm rebranding my photography in Muse website. I use a web font for the name of my company. I want to use the name in watermark and then match the site for a consistent brand image. What is the best way to do it? I used a screenshot, but it's far from ideal. Thank you.

[Left the generic Cloud forum for program specific forum... MOD]

You should be able to use the same font in all Adobe Creative Cloud programs. So, you can add watermark to your images with Photoshop or Lightroom.

  • Why my calculations do not record to get a fillable PDF on-screen, but they work before I save/export fillable PDF on the screen?

I tried several different ways to create a PDF with calculations for my business. When I put the calculations and the guidelines, everything works as an automatic calculation, until I have save/export the PDF file. I tried to save without clicking on the "locked" button and clicking on the "locked" button, but it made no difference. I find myself always with the same result: a PDF file without automatic calculations.

    Check the order of calculation.
