    Hello

You have installed a display driver on your laptop? I doubt you will find a driver for Windows 7 at the moment, but in most cases, the driver for Vista works on Windows 7 too.
    Check it!

Do you really need Windows 7 or you installed it? It s not released yet and at the moment, the socket driver is not very good.

  • Portege Z30 - A - 18 M - cannot set the native resolution on the external display

    Hello

I tried to connect two different displays full HD to my Portege Z30 - A - 18 M and I was unable to set the native resolution - maximum resolution I can put for those is 1680 x 1050... I was not so surprised by the first that I had a few problems with a native resolution when I connect to the laptop computer Satellite I had before. But then the same thing happened when I tried the other view.

I thought that this notebook can handle a higher resolution external... Is there a way to force the native resolution of the external display in Windows 7?
    Thank you!

Just a question: have you plugged your Portege with HDMI cable and use only the HDMI option?
With other words went from the desktop to the external display only computer?

I don't have this machine, but I think you should be able to see the desktop on an external device to the HD full 1920 x 1080 resolution.

    Hey Buddy,

This means that your external display is recognized correctly in the menu display driver?
Have you tried to extend or clone display in the display driver? Normally the external monitor should show a picture

Have you checked if the other FN keys work? Maybe added package must be reinstalled to who controls the FN keys.

  • How to activate only the monitor and disable laptop external display?

I have a widescreen monitor Setup at work and to activate the external monitor, however always want to use the keyboard of the laptop for all my typing. Is there a way to disable the screen of my laptop (since no matter what single arrangement will cause some RSI) and have only the display of the external monitor?

I was able to do this under windows, with an option to display 'Extended '.

I'm not sure there is an OS X equivalent to 'Extended screen only', but if I understand what you want to try it properly:

With the external monitor connected, in the Apple menu > System Preferences > displays click the Arrangement tab move the bar on the external display. Then position the laptop screen so that the upper right corner is aligned with the lower-left corner of the outside (it's evil to make you hover over accidentally to the wrong screen):

Close the preferences window by clicking on the red button at the top left.

Now on your laptop, turn off your laptop screen brightness completely.

  • Can I connect simultaneously on Toshiba laptop to 2 external displays?

    Hello

I am interested to know that toshiba laptop currently on offer support 2 external monitors simultaneously (one normal and then as dekstop extended in windows). I'm looking to replace my old configuration of the laptop and a station connected to two external monitors with a resolution of 1280 x 1024.

I was looking on toshiba websita to

with Port Replicator Port PA3680U-1PRP then some other laptop port replicator who but not the case on the site I could find if any concrete model supports the dual use of the two (VGA and HDMI or VGA and DVI) port

I was looking on the the user guide at http://www.csd.toshiba.com PA3680U-1PRP Port Replicator

But even if you find on http://www.csd.toshiba.com the file pdf of detailed spec and user guides, there is no information on whether they take in charge simultant output to monitors or not and what is the maximum resolution supported for this.

As far as I know it is not possible to connect two external displays. I know that you can only use a port. If you want to use two screens you probably external device as Toshiba Dynadock.

    Check it out.

  • Tecra S2 cannot switch to the external display

With my Tecra S2 and when it is docked in the Port Replicator APR - III, I used to be able to connect my external (via DVI) display so that it was to automatically screen output to we by default, not only to the windows startup screen (Yes, I noticed the topic on the forum at the start of windows) but also when display login screen and beyond.

Only problem now is that there is no more than anything, she now only sends the output to the external display when starting and then switches back to the computer screen displaying the screen Windows login and when you are connected to Windows.
Also after commissioning and connection, FN + F5 does not at all, even when you switch to DVI, display does not illuminate.

I feel that either the nVidia properties settings (double screen, unique, etc.) or the Mobile Extension Manager have something to do with it.
Anyone who knows the answer / solution to this problem?
Experts on the Mobile Extension Manager or several monitor in nVidia settings with of Toshiba Tecra?

    Hello

Well, as I know it is not possible to set the external monitor as a default monitor.
I use a Satellite phone and sometimes I plug it into the external monitor and use the extended desktop option.
During notebook startup procedure the windows boot image will appear on the second screen, but the user name and the operating system appears on the screen of the laptop.
I think you can use the external monitor but you can't set it as a default monitor and you can use it if the operating system has been released.

  • detected external display suddenly stopped working - displays black screen

original title: detected external display suddenly stopped working

    Hello

I have searched in several forums, but have not been able to completely solve this problem.  It has been set provisionally and has not yet.
    This system I have:
HP TouchSmart tx2 tablet pc with Windows Vista Service Pack 2 x 64-bit (Home Premium)
    AMD Turion (tm) X 2 Ultra Dual-Core Mobile ZM - 82, 2.2 GHz
ATI Radeon HD 3200 graphics card
I have been working for more than a year with a monitor flat screen Dell ST2310 external monitor and works very well with the setting "use external display only.  From one minute to the next two screen went black so I forced a restart and again the same problem.  I decided to manually disconnect the external monitor by unplugging the VGA cable from the laptop that turns on automatically to the main display as it would if I am disconnected display.  When I connected the VGA cable again the same question in the two screens were entirely black.  I unplugged once more the VGA cable if I could change the settings in Windows mobility.  I plugged back in the VGA cable after changing the settings of "external display only" to 'mirror' devices and after playing for a bit, with the Windows Mobility Center, I had the external display to work again my regular settings: "external display only.  This solution lasted a day and now works in the main screen and the external screen is completely black.
I tried in vain to solutions:
-Change VGA cables continues to experience the same issue.
-Tested according to the specifications and Dell monitor Monitor works fine if the backlight is not the problem.
-Records update for ATI Radeon HD 3200 graphics card and driver generic PnP Monitor and Dell ST2310.
-Uninstalled ATI Catalyst Manager and re install now as AMD Vision Engine Control Center.
-Checked AMD Vision Engine Control Center recognizes the connected external display.
-Uninstalled the driver Dell ST2310 and re installed the driver.
-On the screen settings have tried to extend the desktop on the external screen (second)
Now, this is what's going on and don't know how to fix it:
-Windows Mobility Center detects a monitor external, even when the VGA cable is disconnected.
-When it detects the external display it sometimes detects it as DELL ST2310, sometimes as a generic Non - PnP monitor.
-Sometimes under "Monitor" in the Device Manager, there are several monitors generic Non - PnP contained also the Dell ST2310 and generic PnP monitor.
-When the external monitor is connected, the screen is completely black and does not work even after changing the settings Windows Mobility or Fn F4.

  • Problem with "Extended desktop", integrated display is disabled

    Hi all

I have a MacBook Pro 13 inch early 2011 with OSX El Capitan 10.11.4.

Just before I upgraded to 10.11.4, I use to work with "extended desktop" using the built-in screen and the external monitor. Since the update, whenever I connect the external display it goes automatically to the external screen and completely disables the built-in screen. Sometimes removing the HDMI cable (with mini port adapter), putting the MacBook to sleep, log in again and the Mac, the awakening back on two screens, but most of the time he spends just go back to the external display only. This gets really annoying.

When you use the external monitor display poster preferences only options of this monitor and my arrangement tab is missing (like the built-in display is temporarily disabled). By clicking on "Detect displays" (after pressing option to show) doesn't change anything. Using the brightness to toggle keys mirroring does not work either.

Is - it there anyway that I can configure so worth by default "Extended desktop" with built-in monitor on and external display?

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Thank you

    Hi there Ajgalvezm,

It seems that your computer does not work with your monitor external because you upgrade 10.11.4. I would use these steps in the following article to help you solve problems that:

Get help with graphical problems on external displays connected to your Mac.

Restart your Mac in safe mode to reset the default display resolution.

If booting safe mode doesn't resolve the problem, reset your Mac NVRAM and SMC to reset the video ports on your Mac to their default values.

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.

  • Satellite Pro A110 PSAB1C: can't choose certain resolution external display

I have Pro A110 PSAB1C-GM60XE with Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (Controller graphic memory integrated Intel 945GM Chipset) running Windows 7 Enterprise.
Graphics driver is up to date.

We got 20 "external monitor wide screen HD.
When it is used as external screen it allows only up to 1280 x 1024. The display is nice streched out.

I tried the monitor of one laptop another the same graphics card (integrated memory graphics controller Intel 945GM Chipset), also Windows 7 Enterprise.
The same version of the graphics driver. This laptop has resolution up to 1600 x 900.

Any ideas on what needs to be done on A110 Pro to support the resolution 1600 x 900 for the external monitor?

Note: I've tried DTD Calculator but still the same http://software.intel.com/en-us/forums/showthread.php?t=56423.

    Hello

Available external display resolution depends on the graphics chip and the driver graphics card.
If the graphics chip or the graphics driver doesn t card supports the preferred external resolution, you will not be able to choose.

It seems that the graphics chip will support this resolution.
In such cases, it s a driver problem.

Therefore, it would be advisable to download and install the driver from the Intel page.
I had the similar problem in the past. The driver of Toshiba page didn t supports my favorite external resolution. I got the driver from Intel page and was able to chose him.
