extended display problem

Hello, I have a p7-1235 HP with AMD A8-5500 3.2 Ghz and Radeon HD D 7560, it's about 3 months with an Acer H233H as the main (DVI analog) and an older Samsung 223BW (VGA) as a secondary screen. A week ago that the Samsung show the extended desktop after being off for a few hours, if it's after a cold start or windows it turns off after 30 minutes of activity. But if I push the power on and off the Samsung button, the screen is restored.

The strange thing is that the display is active in the boot process, start the windows message appears, but once that windows 7 is the Samsung needs to have the power button through the boot process / bike off then turn it back on before you post again. However if I turn off the computer for an hour and a restart round both monitors are working fine.

I read on a forum of HP that I should do a system restore to a time when I knew that the system was working so I did it and still have the same problem.  So I guess that's not windows. I make the false assumption that you think.

If the hardware is the issue, is it more likely the MB video card or the monitor itself?

Thanks for any help.

Hello kevn57

To help identify the problem have you tried another monitor? This will remove the current monitor as the culprit. What current readers for the Radeon HD 7560D? The drivers may not be correctly wake up the monitor. The problem could be the cable as well, so before exchanging the monitor, you should try another VGA cable.

I start with the monitor and cable first of all they are easier to isolate.

    Hello

From your description, it seems your laptop to use the extended display.
I put t know why it occurs after the operating system completely new recovery procedure, but you can try to use the FN + F5 key combination. This procedure allows to switch between display devices. Maybe switching to the laptop monitor will solve this problem.

But if this procedure doesn't help so it could be a malfunction of display hardware. In this case, you will need to contact Toshiba.

  • Display problems with updates on Windows 7

I used Windows 7 without problem for 2 years, but since 6 weeks, EACH Windows 7 update caused display problems (halos, horizontal and pink & light green streaks forming). My hardware withdraws like ok, so my only solution was to uninstall updates. I'm an artist, and my computer became unusable as tool-art. I noticed that people who use Windows 10 have the same problem. It's time to (gag) switch to Mac? Does anyone have a solution for this?

Yes, reinstalling my favorite of all time, Windows XP SP3 - that support has been extended. After weeks of removal of partitions, re-formatting of C drive, re - install Windows 7 and hacking and tweaking, I gave up. Then, when I started transferring files from 7 and re - install the software, my screen went new loony.

Uninstalling Adobe Acrobat Reader removed the problem of XP.

Eventually, I'll buy a laptop to the internet and use XP on this computer for my art and animation programs. Gossip says Internet 7 and 8 are not as secure as XP, so I'm in no hurry to buy. People are the display problems on Windows 10, too. So maybe there is a mole of Apple in the Windows technology crew.

  • TEXT DISPLAY PROBLEM IN CAMERA RAW

    Hello

I have a text display problem in Camera Raw. Where there are labels of boxes that need to be checked, for example in the preferences or settings to be pasted to another file, the text is unreadable print. What happens is that he takes to the bottom of half of the top line and half top of the bottom line, rather than by extending the line if the text is only on a single line. It is a problem for me to see all the options. It's the same on all the text of the label within the program.

I have attached a few screenshots to illustrate the problem.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you very much

    Carl

The problem is not with the size of the screen, but with the "pixel density" (never forget, that the density of physical pixels of the monitor is indicated). Right-click on the desktop and select Properties (or go to control panel and select display). On the Control Panel, select Advanced; the general Panel contains the DPI setting. I guess that the parameter is now greater than 96 dpi.

I created a thread on this problem, which must have been at least two years ago. The answer was, as 1. Adobe will solve the problem, 2. It is a problem only with the classic Windows style (under the appearance tab). I have not tested with the XP style, because I prefer the classic style; I'm cursed and live with this shit (my setting is 120dpi).

BTW, this may be much worse than half-readable labels: buttons, fields, text can disappear completely (you may even not notice, that there should be other buttons and the Panel options)...

Apparently, you're trying to use AirPlay to display content that is protected in a way that not only allows the copy.

  • Retina MBP display problems

I vaguely remember that there is a kind of reminder for display problems on some models of MacBook Pro retina. I don't remember the nature of the issue, nor the accurate models who were eligible. I have a 15-inch model, end of 2013, and what I see is pictured below (dead pixels). Can anyone remember if there was a recall and that this issue would be covered?

To my knowledge the retinas did not have a reminder. However, I got my rMBP 2012 15 "screen changed due to ghosting. I do not know if Apple which is still.

    Howdy Yaser of zoysia,

It seems that your screen displays some graphical anomalies when you connect to your user name. I would use these troubleshooting steps in the following article on the resolution of screens:

Restart your Mac in safe mode to reset the default display resolution.

If booting safe mode doesn't resolve the problem, reset your Mac NVRAM and SMC to reset the video ports on your Mac to their default values.

From: get help with graphics issues on external displays connected to your Mac.

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.

    Hello, Robert

Have you changed anything on your device or this occurs suddenly display problem?

I'm really in idea. If you want you can reinstall the unit with recovery DVDs. If the problem persists it is obviously a malfunction of the display. In this case, you must contact partner in your country.

If there is some serious hardware issue please let us know.

The viewer or split display problem: I am getting small white boxes (similar to those seen in the browser) superimposed on my photos. Any ideas how to fix?  There must be a display problem in the software.

Have you of the 'show Talking Points' enabled in the view menu? Then you can see small white boxes superimposed on the image in the Viewer.

You can enable or disable on / off power with ⌥F talking points.

  • extended display

I am looking to have an extended display using a vga - dvi adapter. am I able to connect a graphics card too a vga and dvi and run. a normal and a stretch is a 1 GB geforce GT520

    EDTII

Yes. You can run two screens of the single card. On this desk, it's how I set it up with a Nvidia GTX 550 Ti video card.

Connect a monitor connected to the VGA port and the other to DVI port. Use the NVIDIA Control Panel and by virtue of the display section implemented the two displays. You can use a type change the adapter to the video card to match the type of connection the monitor has.

  • Tecra S1 display problem

Unfortnately my tecra s1 hit the table of coffee on the ground, the screen immediately turned white. When I rebooted there was no display at all (black only)
The computer works as I plugged on a screen external and that was very good. I tried to follow various troubleshooting guides online showing how to disassemble the laptop and reinstall the connector of the display on the motherboard, but this did not remedy the problem.

I noticed coming from the display was a big bunch of wires going into a connector that I reinstalled, on the right hand side of the screen is a white and black wire to a connector and a pink wire that seemed to just float, I couldn't not whence he came. Does anyone have ideas on the subject of this thread or other tips that can help me.

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

Unfortunately, mate, you won't find any manual disassembly here on the pages of Toshiba. These manuals are not for use public and designed only for the FSA.
But I think you could google a bit and you should find a few details.

I think that it is a display problem that I doubt that some loose cables could cause this problem
In my view, the screen is broken and needs to be replaced
To do this, you should get in touch with your technician ASP.

    Good luck

  • Graphics/display problem - Satellite M60-105

I'm having a little problem with the display (or graphics). In some programs of CAD (Inventor, Solid Works) 3D solids are displayed with lines that normally are not displayed. "I see the solid. In the games like Doom3, I see only a chequer (Exchequer) with black, the blind, the tasks of rectangle. I tried to update the graphics driver, but the results were the same. Problem is more complex that I have thaught, because I noticed the same problem after formatting HD and mounting of Toshiba Recovery CD. Also, I noticed the same thing happens when I'm trying to change something in the BIOS. Maby some of you have had a problem like this, please help.

    Hello

Believe me on this path is not easy to say what may be the problem. The explanation of your problem is good, but it will be interesting to see what you mean exactly.

One of my friends has M60 and I didn't see any display problem on his unit. If the unit is installed with recovery media that produced with other applications, watch DVDs or simply with 3D CAD program?

It will also be interesting to know what you exactly changed in the BIOS.
