external reference for USB-5132

Hello

I have a few questions (I hope) General on the use of an external reference on our USB-5132 digitizer clock.  We want to block for the other oscillators in our system, which are currently locked to a single reference of 10 MHz.  If I connect our reference of 10 MHz at the entrance of PFI1, my questions are:

1 is now locked 5132 to our system?  Or, is it necessary to specify in the installation software we want to replace the internal reference of the 5132 and rely entirely our external reference?

2. in order to have the best possible of locking, do we need to tell the 5132 sample at a frequency which is divisible by 10 MHz (for example 20 MHz, 10 MHz, 5 MHz, 2 MHz, etc.)?  Similarly, we are worse off if you want to try to say, 13 MHz?

Thanks for any thoughts.

Best regards

Penny

Hi Penny,

You need all three. The ' sampleScopeSession.Timing.SampleClockTimebaseRate = 1.0e7; "is the Source of SampleClockTimebase rate. The only piece of code that you won't need is the 'sampleScopeSession.Timing.SampleClockTimebaseMultiplier' because your device does not support RIS.

    Gators,

Any device that you can find in the PCI form factor that is able to acquire quickly enough for your application will work for you. The material has nothing to do with your ability to process and display data on the fly. How to write your program to acquire and process data will be the determinant of whether you will be able to track the incoming data. I would recommend that you look for in producer / consumer performs a loop to process the data. The PCI-5102 will not be able to acquire fast enough for your application, I recommend the PCI-5114 or PCI-5112 for your application. I also recommend to take a lot of memory board for the card you purchase as you go to acquiring data at a fast speed for a long Aussie time.

  • External hard drive USB on Time Capsule

    Hello

I have an external USB hard disk and plug it into the USB port of my Airport Time Capsule makes it accessible wireless (if on the sidebar of the window under the section 'sharing' I click on the Time Capsule to enter airport name next to his record 'data', I also have a folder with the name of my USB HD and I can access).

Now the problem. I have a USB external hard drive, I can access normally connect my iMac or iBook portUSB one, but, if connected to the time Capsule... nothing happens.

So there must be a difference in the two external hard drive. What a difference creates the problem, why and what I can do is my question.

    Can someone help me?

So far, here is what I found to be the similarities and differences:

The two serial ATA, 2 to, partition GUID mapped external USB hard drive.

In disk utility, one that is visible on the Time Capsule is displayed as 'external HARD disk support' physical disk with OS X extended physical volume. One who isn't appears as physical disk 'external media' with logic extended OS X volume.

    Hi Ranmaboy,

I understand you have two external hard drives USB that you want to connect to your airport Time Capsule via USB, but one who is not recognized by the Capsule from the airport. Given that this player connects to your iMac without problem, I would recommend that you backup all data stored on the disk, and then follow the steps here to re - format the drive using disk utility:

Backup disks, you can use with Time Machine - Apple Support

Format a drive connected to an AirPort Extreme 802.11ac or Time Capsule

If you are using an AirPort Extreme 802.11ac or Time Capsule, you can connect an external drive to the USB port on these devices for use with Time Machine. Follow these steps to reformat the hard disk in the first place, it is ready for use.

    1. Connect the hard drive to a USB port on your Mac.
    2. Open disk utility.
    3. On the left side of the disk utility window, select your external drive (or one of its partitions).
    4. Click the delete or delete button on the toolbar.
    5. On the Format menu, choose Mac OS extended (journaled).
    6. Type a name for your drive, and then click clear.
    7. After that the drive is deleted, close the disk utility window.

Once the disk has been reformatted, try to connect this back to the airport Time Capsule to see if it is now recognized.

Have a great rest of your day!

  • External charger for Toshiba laptops

Basically, I have a toshiba laptop and the connection between the charger and the laptop real is in ruins, I had this problem before and found better to just get a whole new laptop, is there not an external charger that I could buy that would work or at least a way to get my pictures off of it?
    Thank you.

    This charger doesn t exist.

Jurgo is quite right. For a few Euros you can buy external enclosure for SATA HDDs. put your HARD drive in this case and connect it to the USB cable and another PC / laptop as external drive.

On this way, you will have full access to all your stored data.

    Hello Fred

I'm quite familiar with Toshiba products, but, to be honest, I haven't heard that this mechanism exists, so I think that you won't be able to find it anywhere.
Best source where you can ask is closest to Toshiba authorized maintainer.

I really think that this device doesn't exist.

    Hello gentlemen.

    I recently acquired a disk hard external 500 GB USB part number PX1269E - 1 50.
I have some problems with the configuration of USB 2.0 in windows XP. When I connect it to a usb 2.0 port, I get the message "USB HDD high speed plugged into a hub non-hi-speed usb", and the unit remains low-speed (12 Mbps) USB. (I checked the port with an another usb 2.0 device and the port works correctly in usb 2.0 mode).
I checked the PXI1269E - 1 50 in other PCs and I have same results. I can't make it work in USB 2.0 mode. I also have some problems with the virtual CD that is always present when you insert and mount partition. There is a way to remove it?

I only use the hard drive for data backup every day, and I don't want to use any other drive letters in my system.

  • What is the fastest connection that I can use for a new external SSD for my MBP late 2008?

That IS the question. I want a new external SSD for my MBP late 2008.

What is the fastest connection type that works?

'External' and 'SSD' could be a problem.  SSDS are different animals of disks spinny.  Some will say that you need not trim on SSD (TRIM is a management tool to move only the ' opportunity' bytes in a block when the block of data is moved), but definitely TRIM does not work on USB or Firewire.  Not sure if the TRIM works on Thunderbolt connected readers as it does on disks SATA-path, however.

Speed included between slower and faster, however: USB 2.0, Firewire 400, Firewire 800, USB 3.0, love at first sight.

  • No BIOS for USB support? Can't boot from USB HDD

    Hello

I was trying to install two operating systems (Linux, Windows Vista CTP) on my external hard drive (USB 2.0, Firewire). And I can't seem to-because he doesn't seem to be a way to specify the support of USB devices in your boot sequence. It seems that the configuration of the BIOS is limited to these 5 icons of basic (no text below the same you know what they represent) - that seem to hold to drive HARD, CD/DVD, network, etc., but none of the USB hard drives (I don't think the FDD account)?

For example, install Windows Vista complains that the BIOS does not support boot from my external hard drive - Linux does.

    Or am I missing something...?

    Kind regards

    Hello

You n writing t nothing on you laptop but as far as I know it of not possible to boot from the external USB HDD.
You can start the USB FDD, HDD, Lan or ODD but not the USB HDD internal.

  • Best way to generate the software clock for USB-6501 of Measurement Studio for c# VS2008

    Hi all

I wonder if there is a better way to generate a clock software for USB-6501 of Measurement Studio for VS2008 in C Sharp?

I have developed a clock using C Sharp "Thread.Sleep (msecPauseTime)"; and statements to switch digital output high and low. There are a few things I noticed in creating a software clock in this way:

    1. The smallest delay by the Thread.Sleep command time is 1 millisecond (which means higher clock period is 2 msec-500 Hz, not holding not ball account no. 2 below).
    2. Sometimes the delay I see on an oscilloscope is considerably longer than the delay that I specified in the sleep command.

In my application, I create signals (a clock, a latch enable and data series) to control what an attenuator step through the USB-6501 RF connected to a USB 2.0 on my computer. This particular step RF attenuator can accept clocks with frequencies up to 10 MHz, so I would like to generate a software clock (without having to connect to an external clock to a line of input on the USB-6501) which is closest to this maximum frequency, and I think that the USB2.0 line could handle clock speeds over 500 Hz. Also, I would like to know why the delays that I see on the scope are sometimes longer than the time specified by the Thread.Sleep command. Is it caused by the suspension of the execution of my program processor for something else, as I suspect? Of course, this isn't a big deal, because it does not affect the time as my serial data and pieces change compared to my clock. However, I would like to know why it does this.

    I appreciate your help.

    Jonathan,

Since the USB-6501 DIO is software programmed, you are at the mercy of the planning of the operating system and won't be able to work reliably with an external clock in the software.

You can try to set the priority of your thread 'generation of clock' to improve performance, however, because Windows is not a deterministic operating system, there are still no guarantees.  Operating systems are not required to honor the priority of threads.  You can find examples and information on the definition of the priorities of the threads in c# here:

  • Use an external reference to AOchannel

    Hello

Using a device of 6259, I try to generate two analog outputs in a task. However, one of the outputs analog must use an external reference (using APFI1 for example).

The problem is that I can't find a way to indicate the external reference to a single channel.

Even though the documentation says that the AOChannelCollection was a member of the public "Item", this is not the case.

According to the manual of the 6259, it must be possible to assign the internal and external references per channel: "you can use one of the OD <0..3>signals as the AO reference for a different signal of AO. However, you need to externally connect this channel to APFI 0 or 1 APFI. ' - Manual usage of the series of the M, 5-2.

    Thank you.

    Hey,.

I tested it with the following code by using two channels, each with a different external reference:

    myTask.AOChannels [0]. DacReferenceSource =
    AODacReferenceSource.External;
    myTask.AOChannels [0]. DacReferenceExternalSource
    = "/ Dev3/APFI0";
    myTask.AOChannels [0]. DacReferenceValue =
    10.0;
    myTask.AOChannels [1]. DacReferenceSource =
    AODacReferenceSource.External;
    myTask.AOChannels [1]. DacReferenceExternalSource
    = "/ Dev3/APFI1";
    myTask.AOChannels [1]. DacReferenceValue = 5.0;

    Hope this helps,

    Christian

  • Version OR USB-5132 / NI-VISA

    All,

I try to use NI USB-5132 Digitizer.  Looking through the material on downloads, it seems that I have NEITHER-SCOPE using this product; I therefore downloaded NO-SCOPE 3.9.7 and tried to install only to find the following error message:

    "Version not supported NI-detected VISA
A version of NI-VISA, which is not supported on this operating system has been detected. You must cancel this installation and uninstall the old version before continuing. Visit ni.com/frinfo and enter the Info Code CleanVista for more information. »

So I followed the instructions and it says I need to uninstall the software OR... I would just install another version of NI-VISA instead reinstall waste products OR I have.  No one knows the version of NI-VISA used by NO-SCOPE 3.9.7 or where to find this information?  I am using windows 7 32-bit, LabVIEW 2011 SP1.

    -Bill

    Greetings,

I find that the typical reason users come to this error message is an upgrade of the operating system. When our Setup program detects that a version of our software which is not supported on the current version of the operating system is installed there don't try to remove it and provides instead that error. This can happen if, say, a user upgrade Windows XP to Windows 7 without performing a clean install of the operating system. The simplest solution:

    • Go to the control panel
    • Select Add/Remove programs
    • Choose National Instruments software
    • Remove NI-VISA.
    • Install a new modern version of NI-VISA.

With the outdated critical version removed safely, modern Setup will work fine.

    Thank you

  • My WD external HARD disk usb device does not appear in the computer on XP and Win7, but appears in the system tray?

I have 2 GB external usb external hard drive that appears in the XP and Win7 system tray, but not in my computer/workstation?

When I go to the management of computer disk/storage/management - is not there in XP but it is for Win7.

How to work various PC and diferent OS?

If you view the contents of the external drive, I think that the first folder contains a USB driver that you need to install to run properly, if you cannot view the contents of drive I'm sure you can download the driver for Western Digital. I think that the work of readers well on Windows 7 installs with 3 USB ports, but drivers are needed for USB 2.

  • PLL error-1074118135 could not phase-lock of the external reference clock

    Possible reasons:

The converter has reported the following error:

Measurements: PLL could not phase block for external reference clock.

Make sure that your reference clock is connected and that it meets the specifications of the voltage and jitter. Additionally, make sure that the reference clock frequency is correctly specified.

The clock source I use is the right frequency (10 MHz) and levels (I tried + 6 dBm and + 12 dBm). However, I was never able to get the 5671 to lock to the Ref in the clock source. Any thoughts?

I haven't dived in the measure of the quality of the 10 MHz clock source that is fed to the VSG but it comes from a device of precision GPS timing, so I'm optimistic that the quality of the clock is within tolerances of the plug VSG.

    Hello tsileo,

The 5671 requires that you provide it a square of 10 MHz wave which is free race to +/-0.5 ppm precision. I think that the amplitude levels look correct.  I would like to confirm the accuracy of your GPS unit's clock.  I also would ensure that free running clock is scheduled before the NOR-RFSG task.  According to the frame that you use, you might be able to try to connect to the clock of 10 MHz of the chassis with the REF in connector just to make sure that there is not something wrong with the device.

    Kind regards

I searched the internet and I can't find a way to use an external facilitator of adobe mic, so background noise is not as bad and my voice will be heard better, I used the mic in other software and it works as it should, so my question is can you use an external microphone for computers in the adobe character animation If so, how can you do?

Yes, I use a USB microphone all the time. It should detect it automatically, but if not, you can go to the host character > preferences and select as input device.
