F10 does not

I have an Acer Aspire 5349-2592 running Windows 7.  It will not start.  I have a set of recovery discs and have tried to recover them using the standard process, start the computer and press F10 when the logo appears.  It does not help, I get the start windows normally screen.  Any deas?

I replaced the hard drive after viewing the video.  It was very easy.  Then retrieved using the disks that I had already gotten to Acer.  The computer runs faster now!  Thanks again for your help.  Problem solved!

My Qosmio F10 does not accept my restore cd. It will not work in windows or dos mode. In windows, I get the error message. This recovery and applications cd is not configured to work with this machine (laptop). This cd is for: Qosmio G10, Qosmio F10.
Please use the correct recovery and Applications cd.
I want to format this model and would really like to use the adequate recovery cd to reinstall all applications that I don't have a windows xp disc. Recovery, one is the only one I have.

    Hello Pam

Insert the recovery media in the drive and turn off the laptop. Wait a second and turn it on. Press the C button and keep it down. On this track, the unit will start playback DVD recovery and if you use original recovery the recovery procedure will be implemented.

You cannot reinstall the unit if the operating system is running.

What to do? Please, I beg you.

Hmmm usually after using the CD recovery Toshiba, everything should work ok.
I read on some computer expert sites that this problem could be linked to the hardware failure. The HARD drive or the module memory is possibly corrupt.

I would first recommend formatting the entire HARD drive (remove also all partitions).
    Install the operating system again.
If it does not solve this problem you could check if it is possible to install from the original CD of Microsoft XP.
Further, you can see the memory modules. Try to remove one and use only one or replace it with a new one.

But please note that these are just my suggestions and I m not 100% sure if these proposals will allow you to solve problems. In any case it s worth a try

    You are the very welcome.

There is also another way to access the BIOS when the ESC key does not work on the PC W8.

Please read the info at the link below.

    http://www.MakeUseOf.com/tag/how-to-access-the-BIOS-on-a-Windows-8-computer/

I don't think that you will not be able to access the BIOS due to the limited improvement you can make to the computer.

  • Recovery F10 does not work?

    Hi all

I have a pc media center of m1170.uk that I bought in 2005, and the only change it's got is an upgrade of the memory that was made in 2009.

It worked ok until recently. A few weeks ago, I did a system restore and took the pc back a couple of weeks and ever since then, whenever I try and open a program, it evokes the box "open with...". "then some programs does not at all, open as Word.

I did a disk defragmentation yesterday, I started to regret the fact that my PC would not boot at all this morning.

It loads the initial blue screen and then goes to a black screen with a blinking cursor and that's it. I turned off and then I tried pressing F10 on several occasions when it starts, as advised by HP, and still nothing, it does not load the system recovery.

The only button that he will answer is F1 and ESC keys at startup.

How to do a system restore? I have no recovery disks (I never created them, although I realize, I should have done). Is it possible to load without getting the discs? I hesitate to order the HP discs in case they don't work because there will be more money down the drain.

Also, it is a regular event with HP computers, because it is not the first condition, that has happened, although the last was 3 or 4 years ago.

    Best regards

    baggers

Don't worry, it's all sorted out.

Operated by browsing HP support and recommended unplugging everything but the mouse, keyboard, etc., in the cases where something was preventing Windows from loading and it turned to be a CD Girls Aloud in one of the disk drives, incredible but true!

    Thank you

  • Qosmio F10 does not work after the recovery procedure

Hi, I just bought the toshiba recovery dvd for my qosmio laptop f10, I put the dvd in and it goes through the process of recovery and complete 100% he then told me to remove the dvd, and then press CTRL ALT DELETE to restart the computer.

In doing so, he gets to the screen were it tells me windows startup and then the screen turns white and flickers a couple of times, and then the computer phone re boots and don't stop doing that, I press the F8 key when it restarts to go save mode, but when it starts in mode it tells me that windows is not completely set and goes no further and tells me that I need to run put in place to new.

I don't have a windows cd only toshiba dvd that should put my laptop back to factory settings.

Can aynone help me before I have sound toshiba?

    Thank you.

    Hello

It's not easy to say why it happens. Usually, the Toshiba Recovery CD should work properly and after any recovery procedure, the laptop should run without any problems.
You suggested that you ordered this CD from recovery of the ASP.
Do you have the right recovery CD? Check the description of CD.

The other possibility is that the device has a hardware failure. In this case, you must contact the service of Toshiba. Sorry, but that's all I can suggest.

  • dose of F10 does not work

I pressed the F10 key at startup upward reapetedly but it just goes to load all cd/dvd and then it's not load a dvd, that's what I want is to boot from dvd thanks for any help.

You want to enter the BIOS and not necessarily start from a DVD.

Review of this document, the system must use F10 to enter the BIOS if it was made in 2006 or later.

Are you pressing F10 on seconds after turning on the system?

When you press F10 to enter the BIOS, is there anything that is connected to the system (USB devices or a disc in the drive)?

What it sounds like, is that it is not recognize the keyboard.  What is the keyboard with which it came or another keyboard.  The keyboard works on another system to access BIOS?

The problem if you use a different keyboard?  If it's another keyboard, it could not be pairing with the receiver in time to enter the BIOS.  It is usually not a long window to enter the BIOS.

  • F10 does not save the changes

I bought a HP 500-023 refurb which was great good cheap at Microcenter.  I would like to enable vt - x, which is a feature of the i3 chip that is installed on this computer, and finally because the Commission will support the other processors I could switch to something that can run a virtual machine that is better outside the i3 chip that went into it.  So, every time I enter the bios and go to the screen that allows me to change the vt - x for 'licence' to 'disabled', that it is not possible to F10 any change.  In fact, it is no screen in the bios at all which allows F10 to save even though the bios says «F10 save/ESC exit»  I built several computers myself in the past and unlocked cores on the processors through the settings of the bios etc, so I am very familiar with the bios settings.  The question is, literally, that the changes cannot be saved.  If someone knows something about HP computers specifically which would explain this weird behavior in the menu of the bios Setup?  To say they have simply disabled the ability to make changes is a total deal breaker and will return just the machine to the store.

OK as it turns out I have F10 CAN save the changes to the bios settings and activate the HP motherboard Joshua 500-023 device virtualization.  The problem was that I just changed the BIOS with my keyboard not HP.  It's a Microsoft Wireless ergonomic keyboard that I use always.  I would never in a million years try to use cheap plastic keyboard that came with the computer, but read on UEFI and how it detects hardware confidence that it crossed my mind that maybe I should just plug the supplied keyboard with the computer.  YES... that's all it took.  I could then F10 and save changes to the bios.

  • Qosmio F10 does not start

    Hello

my partner has a laptop qosmio who appears to be dead. He used it apparently pink lines appears across the screen, and it was cut. He tested food that looks very good. He gets the lights coming but they do nothing and the computer shows nothing.

It is said there is a /bios of motherboard failure and will cost £600.00 to fix. This sounds like the MB/Bios, or would be - this something less dramatic and less expensive?

    Thank you

From your description, I assume that there is problem with graphics card. Unfortunately, graphics card is part of the motherboard and the entire motherboard must be replaced.

By the way: what model of laptop Qosmio has your partner?

  • Qosmio F10-101 does not have a TV tuner

    Hello

I bought my F10 about 2 years ago. It is actually a F10-101. I picked the local official Toshiba site (Turkey). On the web page, he said that F10 comes with a TV Tuner (such as all the Qosmios). Also I checked it on the site of toshiba - Europe.com. The local page was actually just a copy/paste of the toshiba - Europe.com

    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/JSP/SUPPORTSECTION/discontinuedProductPage.do?PRODUCT_ID=98310&DISC_M OD = 1 & service = EU

2-3 days later, I bought the computer. Since I knew that the specifications, I didn't ask questions. When I got home, I realized that there was no TV Tuner on my machine, or remote control. I called the dealer that I bought, they said that none of the F10s have TV Tuners.

I sent to the local distributor of Toshiba on the problem, why this is so. They do not even condescend to answer. The TV Tuner functionality is also excluded from the site 2-3 days later (I also sent Toshiba International, but I was told to contact your local Distributor).
I didn't actually buy my Qosmio for its TV Tuner functionality. But this isn't what Qosmio is made for?

I didn't have to return to the computer dealer, because it is a very good machine in addition to its multimedia capabilities. I say "was" because of some problems of motherboard, I am facing nowadays. I'm a little start to Brown it off.

What would you do if the same thing has happened to you?

    Hello Cagri

It is well known that you have time to 14 days for the product if you are not satisfied. I don't know how it works in your country, but here where I live I can bring it if I am not convinced. I will also say that after buying a new product each of us should check the product, and if something is not as described in the product description, we must respond as soon as possible and dealer.

Qosmio F10 does not work for me because it's one of the first laptops Qosmio but one thing confuses me. According to the specifications of the laptop it comes with WXP Home. Am I wrong? As far as I know to use the TV tuner you need Media Center Edition.

Sorry, but it's really not easy to be objective enough. After 2 years is now too late for all the complaints. I just hope that you still like your toy and I have a lot of fun with it.

    Hello

    Please follow the instructions below:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c02035108

You may need to use the ESC key on the step #2 (if F10 does not work).

    Kind regards.

  • Windows XP does not start normally. BIOS appears at startup

Date & clock must be reset, Save and Exit (F10) does not record.  How can I get it to start normally?  Could it be caused by a virus... Use AVG Free... no sign of a virus.

This is usually caused by a pile of dead motherboard.
Find a battery on your motherboard and replace it.  Usually, this is a battery of size quarter drive.  If you do not, check the manual of your computer or download the manual of your manufacturer's Web site.

  • Qosmio F10 - Media library does not start

    Hello

I have a Qosmio F10. My media library does not start.
I get the message the application did not work properly. OK to close the application

Someone please advice me what to do.
    Thanks in advance.

I agree with Akuma. At the end you must install new OS. As already wrote Akuma, back up all your important data and use recovery for any new OS install media.

It is a radical method, but most effective. ;)
