  I used to have HP F2200 printer/scanner, OCR has been fantastic. It scanned perfectly. The user interface is so intuitive. In front, the OCR of this old model even beat the current Canon scanner. I bought the scanner Canon only returned because the OCR was not commensurate.

  Because of my previous good experience with HP scanner, I decided to upgrade to a new.

  I bought the HP Envy 4504 - so disappointed to realize that OCR is not part of it more. I read in the forums that OCR is not part of all software more.

  What I want to know now is what HP scanner

  -comes with OCR (IE I don't have to buy separately the OCR), preferably using the same as the HP F2200 OCR product. Not sure if it's Iris.

  -Speed of a better scan than F2200, but does not need to be super fast.

  -do not require a document feeder. I'm especially scanning books for document feeder probably won't be very useful.

  Normal scanner is to scan only what is different with an AiO (or multi funstion) printer. In the list, I would buy the "Hewlett - Packard SCANJET G4010 PHOTO SCANNER", it has more functions and depth is much better then aothers. There IRIS too (SCANJET G3110 didn't).

• HP Deskjet F2200: Brown printed in purple!

  Due to the almost empty cartridge, I installed 2 brand new ink cartridges (black [21] and tri-color [22]). Do you have the necessary alignment by following the instructions. However, when printing, and whenever the intended color is Brown, it was in print as violet!

  I even tried to clean the print cartridge using the center of HP s/w solutions, but to no avail.

  What could be the problem? The printer? Cartridge? Print head? This question leads me into the wall.

  When troubleshooting a guarantee in printer for print quality problems, if the printing problem seems to be a problem cartridge, the cartridge would be replaced front of the printer.

  If the replacement cartridge does not resolve the problem, the printer warranty would be repaired or replaced.

  Seeing how you have already replaced the cartridges, it might be safe to assume that there is a problem of printer hardware.

  If you need to replace the printer HP Tech Support may be able to save a little money with the upgrade program.

  What you can do, is to use the following link to create yourself a file number, then call and it can help to expedite the appeal process:

  Step 1. Open the link: www.hp.com/contacthp/

  Step 2. Enter the product number or select Auto detection

  Step 3. Scroll up to "still need help? Fill out the form to select your contact options.

  Follow the steps below and check if it solves the problem:

  1 open the Mcafee Virus and Spyware Protection software you are interested in, click on calendar and perform analyses. Click analysis in real time, and then click stop. Select until I restart the PC and confirm by clicking the button turn off.

  Now, try to reinstall the HP software and check if the installation goes as planned.

  If the problem persists, continue following the steps below:

  2. open the dialog box run by clicking on the Windows key and the R key on your keyboard. Type %windir%, and then click OK.
  3. type hpoins*.dat in the search bar at top, if there is that no result rename the extention in old instead of dat. (e.g. hpoins1.old)

  5. start the Run dialog box by clicking the Windows key and the R key on your keyboard. Type MSIEXEC /Unregister. in the Run dialog box and click OK.

  My HP F2280 all-in-one has decided to stop printing.

  On the Solution Center, the message error is "Document failed to print".

  The ink levels are OK, I put turned off and removed reinstalled USB connecting cable.

  When you print a test page by pressing X and ColorCopy button tkes about 5 minutes for the test page to print, and there is a set of error codes shown in the top of the page.

  I ended up throwing my hP printer - new cartridges has not set and HP has not any useful warranty support I learned of this and my portable PC experience. If you are lucky enough to have a working HP product good luck, failure it is your own problem do not expect any useful help...

  I am answering my own 'display '!   Yes, there is a 'download' available that can solve this problem: go to the site Web of Hewlett Packard and 'click' of your country and your language!  Then "click" on "Support and drivers".  Then enter your details for the product (in my case, HP Deskjet F2280) and follow the instructions to download the Windows 7 software for your printer!   It is relatively simple, although rather tedious - but it worth it!  Good luck!

  Thank you for using communities of Apple Support. It seems that you experience problems printing to a Wi - Fi printer. Looks like you already have a troubleshooting. I recommend reading this article, you have already done some steps here, but there is more information you have not mentioned by train.
  
  

  If the issue is not resolved, take these last steps to remove all the drivers printer currently installed that might be causing the problem:

  1. Choose  menu Apple > System Preferences, and then click Printers and scanners.
  2. Control-click anywhere in the list of devices, and then choose "Reset printing system" from the context menu that appears.
  3. From the Finder, choose go > go to folder. Type /Library/Printers/ , and then click surGo.
  4. The Printers folder opens. Choose Edition > select all to select all the items in the folder.
  5. Choose file > new folder with selection to all the selected items in a new folder named new folder with the elements.
     To save storage space, you can delete the folder new folder with items after you complete the remaining steps.
  6. Follow the steps described in previous section once more.
