  Without seeing the file 'text' produced by Extendscript Toolkit in a hex editor, it is rather difficult to say. If there is a code of control buried in the text file.

• Restore to factory using F11 at startup does not work

  Well, that was boring.  I did a clean install of Windows 7 64-bit on my new X100e, and now the possibility to do a restore to factory of the hidden partition disappeared.

  When I did install cleanup (64-bit Win7 Pro 32-bit replacement Win7 Pro), I left the only hidden partition and I left the only Lenovo recovery partition.  I installed the OneKey Recovery software - but it's while I was trying to just stuff - OKR not really for the factory still restore (or apparently not at leasst in this way).  I did * not * install all drivers again (audio, video, bluetooth, etc) but I can't imagine that should make a difference.

  In any case, so just an as a test, as soon as I got the new version of Windows 7 installed, I tested the operation of factory restore... Restart, press ENTER to interrupt him, and then press F11 to restore.  Nothing.  Only, it was sent in a normal boot - back in 64-bit Windows 7.

  Good thing I made the recovery discs and backed up to SWTOOLS.  But I can of course understand how to install a new operating system in the main partition - especially since I left what is hidden and the Lenovo recovery partitions intact - would affect how the BIOS handles the startup and restore function.  The function was working perfectly before this (I've tested this, too.)  Perhaps it is the drivers... perhaps something like device experience drivers change the boot somehow?  Maybe some BIOS setting that changes installation Win 7?  As maybe Win 7 64 brought a change to the boot record changed this feature...

• Portege 7220CTe he's - USB dock does not work properly

  I have a portege 7220, with Dock he's using windows 98se.

  Trust me on this path is not easy what's happening with your USB ports.
  Do you have similar problems if you use the USB ports on Portege itself?

  As you know the signal USB is just loop through and there may be a problem with the circuit of the port replicator.

  I just share what happened to me in the hope that it will help someone.

  I have a Satellite A135-s4487 with Vista.

  Recently I went to change my menu start because we all know how Toshiba wants to add so many things on startup. Well what happened to me is that my internet and multimedia buttons on the left was next to my keyboard doesn't work anymore, the game and other buttons worked. Just not the button multimedia/internet. Then I went back in and reset my start on the way it was, but still does not work. After calling Toshiba and make them tell me I need to just restore my device I said I would like to figure it out. Now remember I have Vista not XP so the old common modules of Toshiba and Toshiba utility controls are no longer there. After looking into it, I found that for Vista, the software that makes it work is therefore called the Toshiba value added Package. This software should uninstall the program and reinstall after that you should be near the top of form and will. Now, I install the software to my restore disk so I don't really know if the one on the site will work, but I see not why not just make sure that you download for your module.

• My failure at startup and has not worked since

  Original title: Question of an another XP FP3 Kmixer...

  Help!  A few weeks ago my failure at startup.  XP Home Edition, SP3.  Has not worked since.  Here's what I know...

  The volume has disappeared.  If I try to start the Programs/Accessories/Entertainment/volume control, I get "there no active mixer devices".  My video controller (with answering machine) Fax and GOM player complained of no audio device.  They all worked before.

  If it's a virus, Windows Defender and Norton are both deceived.  I'm always worried about that though.  Diversion of the audio start would be a good disguise, although it would be quite wrong.

  If I go to the tab panel configuration/sounds and Audio devices / Volume, 'No audio device', Audio tab, no device, all the fields in the device in gray.  Impossible to select a device.

  Control Panel/System/Hardware/Device Manager / sound, video and game controllers.  Double-click SoundMAX Integrated Digital Audio.  "This device is functioning correctly.  Click on 'properties tab/Mixer devices, double-click "SoundMAX Integrated Digital Audio", "Driver is enabled but not started".

  Control Panel, administrative tools, Services, Windows audio is started, its dependencies, Plug-and-Play and CPP began, although they were not when I first looked, I've changed that.

  I've disabled the integrated audio chipset and installed a sound card, the same question, drivers loaded, material seems functional but not started.

  Returned to the integrated audio system, reloaded drivers, no help.

  I tried to launch the utility that recovers damaged system files from the installation disk.  My machine is in SP3, my installation disc is older.  He tried to retrieve a number of them from the CD, but could not.

  I've tried doint a repair from CD, could not do either.

  It seems to me that the system knows the sound card is there, but did not start the drivers and it offers optional as an audio device?

  Here's the bootlog.  I'm no expert, but I do not see Kmixer from.  Probably to other audio stuff as well, seeing that the way in which the sound recording and MIDI are also grey.

  Anyone know what is supposed to be from the audio and could simply stop doing?

  YouTube now also blocks.  Probably because the audio is not playing?  Probably just an effect or the same cause.

  If you are unable to run the repair install, I recommend you have to back up files and reinstall Windows.

  Try to uninstall the WD Smartware:

  1. launch WD Smartware virtual CD

  2. go in the "Extras".

  "3. launch uninstaller" WD SmartWare ".

  Restart the computer before you reinstall the WD SmartWare.

  This should make the WDDM Service working again.

  1 have you ever try to use different mouse and keyboard on the computer?

  2. What is the brand and model of the mouse and keyboard?

  3 did you do changes on the computer before the show?

  I suggest you follow the provided methods to solve the problem:

  If this only happens at startup, it may be in via a mechanism not covered by msconfig. "Autoruns" should be. You can download Autoruns here

  Once again, to see the full command (equivalent column is called 'Image path' by Autoruns), you may need to widen the column by dragging the right edge of its title, the mouse pointer will change when you can drag to expand
