Failed to load the login and Safe Mode freezes on avgidshx.sys

I get the Dell logo screen (Dell netbook) then just a screen empty. Windows does not load.  Safe mode loads the drivers up to avgidshx.sys.  Then, it is a block of ice.

Everything was fine last time I used it.

I need to load Firefox and synchronize all the parameters of this new laptop.  It then moves to the back of a closet.

Any suggestions?

You want CD - r for recovery disks, DVD does not work.  If you do not, you can go to any Windows 7 computer and make one via by clicking on start-> Control Panel-> backup and restore. Then click on create a system repair disc and insert a CD - R.

To boot from the repair disk, put it in the DVD/CD drive and turn on.  You can get a message saying something like ' Press xx key for boot menu "or he might say press a key to boot from the CD.

I'm sorry to hear about your injury.  It must be difficult to deal with.  I wish you a quick and complete recovery.

Good luck.

    Hello

I have experience blackheads on the dell splash screen, then it continues to the f1 f2 to Setup because I don't have a floppy drive, it is okay to continue. On this screen but I have blue dashes experience everywhere in this moving around every 20 seconds or more. When I hit f1 I get a low quality graphics Windows load bar and then a black screen after 5 to 10 seconds. Followed by a blue screen of death with the code 0x0000008e. Then restart. I then tried the F8 key and restored in a last known point that worked, does not solve my problem. Tried to boot in SafeMode (normal) and I get the blue wheel scrolling as it's almost here, and then a reboot without explanation. Also, I tried to move the cards gfx and switching of slot machines, this is not having an effect. But I noticed when using a card, I get a quick 5 beep at startup, then using the other card it works fine. Is a card? This would have an effect on my boot because of the missing material? • Blue Screen of death - now cannot load Windows (even in safe mode)

Laptop last night (Satellite L500-19Z;) Win 7 64 bit) crashed while playing CIV4. Had a blue screen of death. before I had the chance to read one of the error messages about the computer restarted.

It loaded windows in SafeMode very well then and informed me that he had loaded OK the problem safe mode will be linked to some recently installed software and I should uninstall programs I had installed until it loads normally. As it was late last night I closed and thought I would sort the morning (with the benefit of hindsight it may have been a mistake...).

Today, when the computer tries to start, it tries a startup repair; Unfortunately it does not work every time and it says "Startup Repair tried several times but still cannot determine the cause of the problem"

I looked at the paper it produces, but it passes all of the individual tests.

I can't access also advanced recovery options system & support, that appears in the Startup Repair dialog box as it requires that I be connected, which apparently I am not (probably the machine never got to the windows screen connection before attempting repair system). The error message reads "you must be logged to access system recovery options. If you encounter problems to connect, please contact your computer administrator for help. Please click OK to restart the computer. »

I had a go at the start in the advanced options (safe mode, safe mode with command etc., but the result is the same).

I also tried the repair of your computer to the screen option options advanced boot, but after the screen where it asks you to choose the language and keyboard, I get the same error of connection mentioned above.

Is it possible to repair or even run windows based hard drive recovery (do not have the DVD of recovery with me as I'm away from home for a few weeks) without connecting to windows? I expected here, but have not yet find a way to do it.

(there is no disc in the disc drive, no other devices connected to the laptop - I tried with power outlet and the battery and have not noticed differences)

    Thank you

Windows Vista Basic and was freezing after sitting idle in normal mode and safe mode. A few months ago, we had this problem and I replaced the hard drive. It was fine for a bit, but is distributed upward. The time that it will sit idle are shortened. I did a scan for malware and removed everything that was out there, obviously this isn't the hard drive and it is used for the most part just internet and e-mail, no new programs have been loaded since the new hard drive.
