Failed to retrieve on Satellite L300-19F

My laptop computer is unbootable, so I start to recover with the 2 DVD that I made myself when I bought the laptop.
(I already used successfully the DVD to get a 2nd hand laptop)

The drive is already formatted successfully, but the procedure stops when the following error appears "error creating file - data error . Copy of the Base of the recovery files failed! Prees any key to continue... ».
Then everything in BACK stops: X:\windows\system32>_
How can I proceed with what DOS commands?

Please notify. Thanks in advance.

At the start of the recovery procedure everything works automatically, and if there is no problem with the recovery image, DVD you ve created or HDD recovery procedure everything will work correctly.

You can have no influence on it and you can't put a few DOS commands to continue the recovery procedure.
Using recovery DVD on computer, so they are created?
Have you changed anything on the laptop as the HARD drive upgrade?

    Hey Buddy

I wonder if you really searched these Vista drivers. I doubt it.

Satellite L300-19F seems to be a PSLB8E series and all THE Vista drivers are published on the European driver Toshiba page.
Visit the European driver Toshiba page and choose this series.
Then, you will get all the necessary drivers!

  • Can satellite L300-19F - I change the Vista of French to English?

    Hi all

I brought a new laptop Toshiba Satellite L300-19F
I want to change the OS language french English full is possible

If this is not the case, do I have to buy a new cd englsih for the same thing or can I get assistance from toshiba for the french to English

    Salim

It is not possible to change the language on an already preinstalled OS. What you need is new DVD installations on the English language. You'll have to buy one. Toshiba has nothing to do with it.

The software is delivered on the hardware and you have paid for a license only.

  • Re: Failed to start with Satellite L300

    Hello
I'm on a Toshiba Satellite L300 Windows Vista,
I recently had my browser (Google Chrome) freeze so that the page that I was on was using Java.
I went to reset, but once Vista began to start it would not go beyond the loading bar.
Then, I went to boot from a drive to install Vista and met the same problem.

I tried to start with the controller Mode SATA changed compatibility.
This allowed the Vista disc load up successfully but did not allow for options but command prompt and from the Startup Repair.
I ran Startup Repair twice and that Vista would load to the top of the loading bar then reset and loop this model.
I don't know where to go from here, but any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Brad Winn.

    Hello

Perhaps, your laptop is infected with the virus, and you cannot load windows. You can search and find a software like Kaspersky Anti-virus 8.0.0.506 Emergency Bootable CD and search for viruses. I wonder why you could not start Vista drive in AHCI Sata Controller Mode, I know the sata drivers are already integrated into Vista.

Run "bootsect/nt60 ALL" into the command prompt, and then press ENTER. Wait and eject the Vista disc, reboot. Hope, it helps to have you tried to install from hard drive recovery image?

    Hello

First, I'm sorry for the bad English because I'm french.
My laptop is L300 - 19F with Vista.

I reinstalled Windows Vista and I downloaded the drivers, but there is a problem:
on the site, on the page to download the drivers, there are a lot of drivers for a component.

For example, Firmware Update (2 versions) or Modem Driver (3 versions) or Modem region Select utility (2 versions) or Wireless Lan Driver (2 versions), there are many version and I don't know that I have to take.

In addition, what are the necessary drivers for proper use?

    Thank you very much!

    Hello!

Did you install the laptop with the Toshiba Recovery disk? The disk from Toshiba are all the drivers and tools.

If you need the driver from the Web from Toshiba site, choose always the most recent.

  • Failed to retrieve the Satellite Pro L300 laptop using Toshiba Recovery Disk

I have a Satellite Pro L300 Vista I'm trying recover using the recovery disk Toshiba official that the machine is not able to retrieve from the hard drive.

The process gets as much as to start recovery utility and asking to select the language in the utility recovery which I emphasize English and then select next; It moves on the next screen, which is empty and then it just hangs.

    Any suggestions?

You bought your laptop with the Vista version English?
What language is marked before selecting English?

  • Failed to retrieve on Satellite P200-10O

    Hope you can help.

I tried to reinstall my PC from the recovery disk followed by countless failures in the start menu after Pc recoveres by Hibernate. After the resumption, reinstall gets it PC up to a point and then freezes, three white stripes appear horizontally on the screen. Then I need to start the process.

I installed an older version of Windows XP on the PC and it works although I now question my wireless cards are not recognized, the mike and the camera work not etc.

I would like to get the PC to work with Vista, you have any ideas what can cause the recovery to fail.

    Thank you

BTW - the horizontal lines, I mentioned in the previous thread occurs about 2/3 of the way through the recovery - to the point where Vista will launch for the first time. The reason to say, is I don't think it's a question of monitor as XP runs ok.

A thought - could this be the RAM?

  • Failed to retrieve the Satellite C855

I created the Recovery DVD for this product and they do not seem to work. It's for Windows 8, but failed to start from the DVD. He starts the DVD and then presents a Windows 8 screen that says "Recovery - your PC needs to be repaired" with "a required device is not connected or is not accessible" and an error code of 0xc0000185 (those are zeros). The portable computer is unbootable plu. Using a Windows 7 DVD I can get to the recovery concole - I have not tried it but this and a Live DVD of Ubuntu seem to point to a failure in the recovery DVDs.

I do not have a hard drive recovery partition, but I have no reason to suspect theres nothing wrong with the DVD I created. Other computers can read without any problem.

Is this somehow so I can start this system? I am reluctant to pay 30 quid for a couple of recovery DVD from Toshiba, when I don't think I did anything wrong. If someone has solved this?

Problem with recovery disks is very simple: either it works or not. If recovery disk doesn t work you can not do anything.

In your ad, that I did not understand how extreme recovery installation, but if you not boot the OS or start the installation of HARD drive recovery, there is a big problem. You can only have the factory settings using the recovery disk. Another solution is the installation of the own BONE but I wouldn't do that because in this case you have to pay the new product key.

Believe me, that the best solution for you is a new recovery disk command. It costs 30 euros but you will have the original recovery image and this version must not be activated.
    >.. When I don't think I did anything wrong
In General, you are right but if created the recovery disc are not usable you can do.

  • Failed to retrieve on Satellite A300

Trying to find my A300, when the recovery disk 2 it restores for awhile then I get the message:

    : Error 10 - FC12 - 045 d recovery

I was wondering if you are ordering that a new series of Toshiba recovery disks would be useful or whether there is another solution to the problem?

To be honest I've never seen this error, but on this forum I saw several complained of similar problems.
In my opinion, before ordering anything, try to get another HDD for testing purposes. Swap the HDD and try reinstalling the recovery image.

    Can you do this?

  • Drivers fail after retrieving the Satellite A100-285

I used the recovery disc for the A100-285, but it now lacks the VGA, sound and other drivers who were very well before. any suggestions?

    Hello Vince

Sorry, but I really don't understand what you are writing about. If you want to reinstall OS and have 'presets' new install OS using {color: #ff0000} Toshiba PRODUCT RECOVERY {color} DVD.

It must be also written that contains the OS recovery CD/DVD.

  • Satellite L300-19F starts not-cannot start Windows

My mobile no dΘmarre, "cannot start Windows. "To solve the problem: restart with the recovery CD.

I can do that, but first of all, I don't want to try to save the data (and photos) from a hard disk.
Is it possible, for example, go to BACK when booting with the recovery CD, and copy the data on USB?

Furthermore, all my data on E:\ partition. Will be crushed it during the installation of recovery?

    Please notify. Kind regards.

    > Is it possible, for example, go to BACK when booting with the recovery CD, and copy the data on USB?
    No, it is not possible!
If you should start up using recovery disc then the recovery process would be started and the whole HARD disk may be formatted!

You can try to start by using a WinPE
    http://www.LiveCD.com/

This allows you to start the device and access the data on the HARD drive

You could also build own Windows live CD

    Hello!

You can download the new versions of BIOS on the Toshiba site. Find your model and select BIOS update
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com

Download the right file and follow these instructions:

Extract the zip file containing the BIOS upgrade to a temporary folder.
Ensure that all open files are saved and all applications are closed.
Run the *.exe extracted to the temporary folder. Follow the instructions on the screen.
The BIOS update will be done automatically.
After a few minutes, the computer will restart automatically.
