Can question - I use what I have and full install new hard disk manually?

Can question - I use what I have and full install new hard disk manually?

Sorry, you can not. It's all or nothing. This is why we don't use optical media for backup purposes. They are notoriously few reliable and also subject to aging. An external drive in a USB enclosure is a much better and more flexible solution.

  • Don't drive HP Pavillion G6 2210SA RED hard failure no bootable image message

    Hello

I'm sure that the hard drive has failed. I tried reset hard with and without mains. I left the power on and after a while, I get a message saying that the selected boot image is not authenticated. I went into the BIOS, but there is no Diagnostics tool to test the hard drive.

I'm happy to have another hard drive (if you can confirm that this is the question), but how to install Windows 8 once I have reinstall the hard drive? I can't even find my phone on the support forum and even fewer know about recovering from a hard drive failure.

Can someone help please? Thank you.

No, the product number is encoded in the BIOS so you only have the recovery disks.

    Hello Skylarking,

HP has not found another solution.

Maybe a replacement of the motherboard.

What I tried and what was very strange: I replaced the CMOS battery and failure was gone!

I don't understand because you are not espect when the unit is running it may be wrong (or there is a failure with the motherboard).

For now: thank you very much for your comments!

  • Application failure and or image opinion what causes this?

I turned on my computer this morning and I'm now request and image or failure notice like this.    X the application or DLL C:/windows/system32/jytvhi.dll is not a valid image of what's wrong with my computer?   I ran a diagnostic and it says that I have a file broken windows updates, then how can I fix it?

    Hi Johnblackford,

Seems to be a malware or viruses cleaned your system file, leaving behind traces in the registry.

You can use CCleaner to clean your registry system for this entry http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner

Alternative - locate this file in the registry

    Start-> Run Type & -> Regedit-> ok

    Access

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER-> software-> Microsoft-> Windows-> CurrentVersion-> Run

    and

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE-> software-> Microsoft-> Windows-> CurrentVersion-> Run

Locate and reference pointing to the file 'jytvhi.dll' or 'C:\WINDOWS\System32\jytvhi.dll' path, select, and then delete it.

Alternative, you can search the registry for "jytvhi.dll" and remove references.

    I hope this helps.

  • Win 8 image area

Hello! I just installed my HP7310 all-in-One on a Windows8 OS.  I found the HP Solutions Center SW for operation with Win8. (My original CD installs on Win8 - was on Win XP)

Is there a downloadable installation of HP Director/Image area for Win8?

-With the HP Solutions Center, I receive an unwanted error message that my (black) cartridge is missing - how can I disable these constant error messages?

    - and with the Director of HP, I can the printer to ignore the fact that the black cartridge is not installed?

    Thank you, Frank V

I just tried to start a new search with the center of Solution and it worked this time. But the copy function always shows "device is busy" which I think is due to the lack of error message black print cartridge. Thanks, looks like I'm back to where I was with Win XP - scan, and then print the file to get copies.

  • Failure of System Image recovery

My dv7 3165dx notebook PC is no longer support Windows 7.  I spent six weeks researching the issue through forums and even contacted HP support by phone.  The first action I took was to back up my files using a SATA cable USB on another computer.  Then I did a system restore.  The restoration process would be to reformat the hard drive, but could never reinstall windows aterwards.  Other research suggests that order the recovery disc for my particular model would settle the matter, so I did.  After trying to boot from the recovery discs, I finally got some error codes that suggested the hard drive has been corrupted and will need to be replaced.  I had 2 it professionals to confirm this suggestion and then explained my story to someone at HP support on the phone and confirm again once I needed a new hard drive.  (corrupted HARD drive is 500 GB)

Now I have a new herd of 650 GB drive and follow all the instructions supplied with the discs.  I turn on the laptop with the first recovery disc in.  BIOS is configured to boot from the CD/DVD.  System Image Recovery begins, asking if I want to reformat the drive and start the recovery.  The progress bar indicates the restoration of files on hard disk and makes 30% after about 40 minutes, and then a box will appear:

"Failure of the copy of the file.  Of D:\PRELOAD\BASE19. WIM C:\RM\Image\BASE19. WIM.  Press OK to retry.

pressing ENTER or ESC takes about 20 to 30 minutes more to get the same box again never exceed 30%.

I have a new hard drive and HP recovery disc and still not usable laptop.  I have read also several similar topics on similar problems but you have not found a solution that works yet.  I appreciate a lot of help.

    Hello

    You are welcome.

I've always liked to link to the site to developers for free software, but I agree that the download options are not immediately obvious.  However, as you use a Mac, there is no need for additional software - you can burn the Image file (ISO) of Windows disk as described in he following link.

  • Equium A60 screen failure, but the image is always visible

Bought this laptop because it was supposed to be reliable. After 18 VERY basic use the screen started to black intermittently until 3 months ago, it failed completely. I now use an external flat screen (which was 4 years old! no problem).

Now, I noticed that there is always a visible image on the screen of the A60. I was told that the backlight may need to be replaced or I read that perhaps the FL inverter? must be replaced.
Can anyone suggest how to overcome this problem especially since I said a replacement screen may be as much as a new laptop. PS one of the buttons also has failed never happened before on any keyboard from the computer when it came out.

    Any help welcome. Davee

Yes, you suggestion isn't bad. It would really be a FL. inverter error This small part is not very expensive and can be responsible for your problem.
But I think that you should replace this part yourself t. I think that you have no much experience in this replacement and so you should ask the technician for assistance.

  • Acer M265 - factory for Win 7 image - is it "encrypted"?

I want to find something quick.  We have a M265 old Acer of 4 years that we bought with Win XP and Win 7 provided by Acer.  We used the XP version now since the deployment, and now we are eager to move on to the configuration of Windows 7.  We did the Acer eRecovery procedure and ascent to the Win 7 64 bit OS of the 'hidden' partition (which takes off XP system drive).  It is very simple and has been a success.  Everything's all right.  But...

We use Symantec System Recovery as our backup software.  Who is installed and when we try to launch it to our initial backup, SSR complains that he cannot continue with the snapshot was taken, because the disk is encrypted.  We opt for no matter what 'encryption' installation off the coast of the recovery Partition - never seen any option for it.

Question 1: When citing and using the recovery Partition 'hidden' for Win 7 and try to impose Win 7 on top of XP, installing Acer does everything the disc somehow encryption?

Question 2: I have no idea why or how this happened.  Is it possible to "UN-encypt" the system C:\ drive?

This computer is almost ready to go except for this problem.  I hope someone can help me solve this mystery.

    Hoib

    The end...

The Symantec Rep (NIV.2 joint) admits that the error they are throwing (pointing to the drive being encryption) is "incomplete".  This means that it is a mistake.  And, without knowing this fact, how is a user supposed to react?  We Ingore only forward error messages because they are subject to be "incomplete"?  Alternatively, those who ignore us?  Or who is genuine - how to tell us?

There is a utility in the installation folder called 'Fixinstall.exe '.  The utility is not in the documentation, but is provided for cases like this.  We ran that and he re-recorded all of the .dll files used by the backup program.  Which corrects the problem.

Thus, Tommy and al., please come and help.  The episode is over.

  • Failure of the image due to the 'partition reserved

Below the line continues is a solution posted in 2010, but given my situation I can proceed with this solution?   This technuique seems to work, but what happens if the "reserved" partition is already 450MO & the error so that it occurs. In fact this happened to me. I first encounted error 0 x 80780119. I followed this procedure & repeated the backup. The backup failed then an error different 0x8079012D on a bad sector. Then, I scanned both my hard drives internal & external & applied the FIXES everything that was found. As a result, I repeated then backup & the original error returned. Scanning the partition "reserved" via "Disk Manager" the partition which went from 100 MB to 450 MB now has 20 MB of free space. If this partition has completed over the successive failures of backup.

Is it SAFE to extend this partition more away? I keep seeing statements not exceed the 500 MB?

    _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Read this article because I believe that the amount of free space in the 100 MB partition is too small. Article is a different error code, but the technique to increase the size of the 100 MB partition is the same.

    Hi Jeff,

Although I have not tried myself, I don't see the problem to the expansion of the space in question. In fact most of the threads I've read point to extend the drive.

For clarification, I would advise to post using the link below:
