Failures of the integration of Windows XP hotfixes

Hi all
I have try all 42 fixes from Windows XP into a Windows XP Volume License I386 folder with a pre integrated SP3 (en_windows_xp_professional_with_service_pack_3_x86_cd_vl_x14 - 73974.iso freshly downloaded from the MSDN site). However I get errors. When I run the integration of a batch file or directly from a command prompt, I get the error message for all the patches below.

The command line that I use is kb958687-windowsxp-x 86 - enu.exe / integrate: "C:\temp\XP\229\I386" / passive/quiet /log:c:\temp\patches\Patch-Integrate-test-volume.log

and in the batch file CALL kb958687-windowsxp-x 86 - enu.exe / integrate: "C:\temp\XP\229\I386" / passive/quiet /log:c:\temp\patches\Patch-Integrate-test-volume.log

0.000: an error occurred during the attempt to integrate this software update.  Verify that architecture, language and level of service pack this software update are valid for the target distribution folder.

However when I run the same command line and file commands on a downloaded retail version of the I386 (en_windows_xp_professional_with_service_pack_3_x86_cd_x14 - 80428.iso download on Technet downloads) successfully patches.

The reason I'm integrating the fixes are install us Windows XP via RIS and are currently using a batch file to install the post install of Windows XP patches.

I ran a Beyond Compare two sources and there are only 4 files that are different.
\DPCDLL. DL_
OEMBIOS. BI_
OEMBIOS.DA_
OEMBIOS.SI_

Even if I copy these files in the folder of Volume License, I always get the ebove errors?

Has anyone experienced this before, know the cause or may provide counsel that would be appreciated?

Thanks in advance.

This is resolved.

Deleted in the command-line path designate I368.

  • Activation of the integration in Windows Virtual PC features

I installed Windows Virtual PC and installed XP on it.  I also installed the integration features, but whenever I'm going to allow it, he asks for a login and the password, which apparently is not the same login and password that I used when I installed XP.  Anyone know how I can turn this on, or at least find the right login and password?

I finally got it work.  The problem was that I had set up XP in VPC to log on without password.  Apparently the integration features requires a password, and even leaving the empty password would not work.  So, once I added a password to log on my XP, features integrations worked well.

This trap for the unwary should be explained in the help VPC files.
  • Power failure during the installation of Windows 7

We had a power failure most when setting up my Windows 7 upgrade installation and it will not complete the installation. I downloaded the iso image and an installation DVD, but it does not start the machine. I checked the DVD works on another box of Windows 7, so I'm stuck. I ran the front compatibility checker I tried to upgrade and we found some good things. Any advice in addition to the upgrade of the mother/processor board?

  • Failure of the system for Windows 8 image backup

I downloaded Windows 8 a few days ago. I tried to create a system image to an external drive, Western Digital 500 GB (409 GB free) four times and each time after a few minutes a message said that the backup failed. The backup of the recovery Partition seems end OK every time. The failures occurred after a minute or two in the backup of the C: drive of the OS.

The external hard drive checked OK. The player has already had an image of the system for Windows 7 which was removed before the backup attempt. Here are 2 messages I received as the backup failed. The other 2 were much the same, I think.

"There was a failure in the preparation of the backup image of any of the volumes in the backup set. (0X807800C).
The mounted backup volume is inaccessible. Try the operation again. (0X8078004F)."

"There was a failure in the preparation of the backup image of any of the volumes in the backup set. (0X807800C).
The specified drive is not found. (0 X 80780081)"

Below are the 2 files on the external hard drive after the failure. I guess that the first was the complete recovery Partition backup. I don't know much about this sort of thing.

  • ERROR CODE 606 CAUSING FAILURE OF THE UPDATES OF WINDOWS 'IMPORTANT' 10

Help, please!  I try to install the last "10 important updates" for Windows, which I was informed automatically.  I tried 4 times in 2 days now and each of them settled due to the 'error Code 606'.  When I click on "help", he pulls up "WindowsUpdate_00000646" "WindowsUpdate_dt000" If that's any help.  Each time, it goes through all the motions, past by restarting as usual, then I get the same reminder of updates, showing "failed" on all of them.  I have not had this problem before.  I don't know what to do to get these updates installed.  I NEED HELP ASAP!  I am a user of impressive program but not at all a geek who can solve the problems that arise, and I have no one to turn to in my personal circle.

First of all try to install updates when you're disconnected from the internet.

If no joy, then try to manually download the same and install.
You can search the individual updates here:
    http://www.Microsoft.com/downloads/en/default.aspx

He just put in the KB number and then perform a search.

If this still creates one problem another thing you can try is disable the User Account Control first download before the update manually. See: (Guided Help: settings to adjust user account control in Windows 7):

    Great!

I was about to recommend that actually. I had searched to find that there is a problem with other music players which lead me to believe that it was a Microsoft problem and not a problem of Motorola.

  • Failure of the Activation of Windows 8 and 8.1: 0xC004C003 error Code

I recently updated my window preloaded 8 to 8.1. However, after the update, it accepts not my old window key 8 and asks me to activate with a product key. Here is the error code: 0xC004C003

My DELL XPS came with a preloaded copy of window 8 and yes there a 8 to the rear window sticker

and fully enabled until I updated to windows 8.1.  And as far as I know, system which comes with preloaded window 8 has its key product injected into the motherboard and 8.1 is free for users of window update 8.

So why the update do not accept my window key 8 and ask me a new key? I know that my 8 window key can be used to any other system because the key is injected into the mother board and I don't even know the key myself.

So what can I do now to my window be reactivated?

No more frustration, it's that I can't go back to windows 8.

I tried to reset it to the original image using DELL backup & built in system recovery software.

However, after the image of the factory it does not accept embedded product key.
