• Approach to the Interface of the AR

Hello

I need to create an interface AR & client to create AR invoices & customers in Oracle external system.

What is the best way to import invoices - to use the tables of the interface and import using Autoinvoice or use import API?

Can you please tel me the advantages and disadvantages of one against the other?

Thank you

Priya

Hello

For the import of invoices, Receivables Transaction API is preferred because AutoInvoice can often be time consuming and requires that create you transactions in a batch. The Transaction API allows you to use your system to create transactions for purposes more quickly and with fewer restrictions.

Other benefits to the use of the API of the Transaction include:

• Save time - the Transaction API allows a faster throughput of your system in Oracle receivables. You can create transactions at the request, rather than import, validation, error correction, then re-import as AutoInvoice requires.
• Flexibility - you can call the API of the Transaction of your system or a transaction entry window program that will transfer of multiple transactions of a foreign receivables system.
• Instant validation - when it is called from an external system, the Transaction API instantly validates your information, then creates the Oracle receivables transaction or displays an error message.
• Update and delete Transactions - you can change a transaction of your system and the Transaction API will automatically update the information in accounts receivable. You can also delete a transaction in receivables using this method (if the transaction meets certain requirements).
• Import data from different systems - The Transaction API allows you to import data from transaction to a variety of environments. You can import data from Oracle Order Entry, your existing system or any third-party application in which you store information.

Please see the following notes to learn more:

https://docs.Oracle.com/CD/A60725_05/HTML/comnls/us/ar/trxapi.htm

Regarding the transfer of customers, the API is more preferred, so, APIs are modular by design, creating easy to understand, easy to maintain and easy to extend the means or the update of CAW-specific data. Customer interface inserts customer basic information related to the rear, such as the name of the customer, address of delivery, flags, references, etc. The limitations in the customer Interface is the inability to import and update additional information such as SIC_CODE, SIC_CODE_TYPE, etc.. In the 11.5 version, even more fields are now available to the AR user through the customer form but do not appear in the current client Interface. For these situations, the user can implement a solution using the API of TCA.

Hi all

I have received_bills and send_bills of 2 tables.

The SEND_BILLS table is the source table displaying all records in it.

I need to compare two tables together and insert all the missing elements in received_items including duplicate records.

• a question on partition

1 billing date partition table

2 monthly partition table

Hello

Either may be good.

If you do a query that doesn't need that look at a calendar day, then partitioning by calendar day is exactly what you want. If you were only to partitioning per calendar month, then you'd have about 30 times more in the score you need, but that can always be good.

Like anything else, the answer to all situations depends on the details of this situation.

• How is due date calculated in Oracle accounts payable

Hello

On what basis is calculated to the due date of an invoice.

Say that payment terms are 10 days.

That only takes into account the days or weekends and holidays as well.

The due date is calculated on the basis of the date of invoice or the date of receipt?

Kind regards

Amanda

Hello

Please see the following content.

Of the APLIST, the calculated due Date is correct. The invoice was created the

May 17, 2010 and received was created on May 20, 2010. Later, when the Bill was

validated, the system has recalculated the payment as plans ' recalculate payment

Schedules has been activated. The system has generated the due date as June 19, 2010, for a term of

-Net30.

Here's how the calculation of the due date:

---------------------------------------------------------------

--> In general, Due date get calculated based on the most recent available departure dates. Date the most recent available beginning is derived according to the following formula.

Greatest (Goods_Received_Date + Receipt_Acceptance_Days, Invoice_Date, Terms_Date).

-> In the algorithm above, Goods_Received_Date is a date which is filled on the invoice based on terms_date_basis to the provider/site level.

a. If terms_date_basis = "Goods received" so Goods_Received_Date get filled.

(b) if terms_date_basis = "Invoice received" or anything else then, Goods_Received_Date is null.

-> Receipt_Acceptance_Days is the number of days defined for "Receiving acceptance days" the tab invoice Options in Payables.

-> So, the due date is the most recent DATE of INVOICE, DATE CONDITIONS, GOODS RECEIVED ACCEPTANCE DATE + RECEPTION DAYS.

-> In the case of a corresponding invoice, the system takes into account the date of the Transaction of reception of the

Reception for the calculation of a recent start date, because sometimes the DATE OF RECEIPT of GOODS is zero. This feature is available from the beginning only 11i. See bug #1655225 for more details.

a.So first system determines the recent date of GOODS RECEIVED DATE + RECEPTION ACCEPTANCE DAYS and TRANSACTION DATE of RECEIPT.

b.After that checks most recent date from the defined formula again.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

If the customer does not want the system to use "Date of receipt" and then disable "recalculate the payment plans.

If the customer wishes a new calculation, the system considers "Date of receipt" to a corresponding invoice.

Concerning
Gavin.

• How to make a transfer of general accounts in R12?

R - 12 to make the transfer of receivables accounting information of Oracle subledger to Oracle General ledger accounting, run the program create accountants in the final
mode. When you create the final report, the accounting program create transfers data on your adjustments, releases of flow, assets, liabilities, debit notes,.
invoices received at a table interface subledger accounting and, depending on the other input parameters, manages the log import and record journal entries in general
General Ledger. Or, you can create a project accounting first; later, when you create the final account, you can complete the transfer and validation process. Project accounting entries cannot be transferred to the General Ledger.

• Application of the rules to Instances of entity in a sequence (multiple calls necessary?)

Hello

In my OPA team, we have a situation in which it would be useful to be able to run a series of calculations on a set of instances sequentially. We wonder if there is an acceptable method for this in a single call to a modules, because the OPA does not allow a loop or a sequential processing of data in a way that seems obvious.

Context:
Consider a situation involving a computation that can be performed on a single Bill, but we have a series of bills to deal with. For example, let's say that there are a certain amount of a deduction or "co-payments" that must be subtracted from the large bills, but is deducted in greater quantity of invoices received earlier (rather than be distributed also among them) and then will deplete fairly once was subtracted in all. In this case, it is not sufficient to use a statement of the type «for each of the Bills...» "because the conditions for the calculation have to change with each invoice. This seems to require the ability to browse an ordered list, but we do not know if something like this is possible (without violating an axiom or advised).

Ideas:
The best idea we could come to would be to use a time stamp to identify the Bill earlier as a starting point and then use the function of 'unknown' to force the rules to calculate the deduction for 'other' more former Bill in sequence. The current solution will be to call several times modules by an external script that loops through the Bills.

To sum up, we wonder whether there is an acceptable approach to apply a set of rules to an entity instance before to apply the same rules to others, without requiring multiple calls for modules.

Thank you!

You started down the right path. To quickly answer questions, there is no need for multiple calls to the basis of rules, no for ranking explicit rules or data.

The challenge when using unordered rules / systems of determinations is out procedural thinking (that loops or sequencing data explicit is required). The solution is by expressing the declarative logic equivalent (which requires no sequence with the right answer). In this case, consider the calculation from the perspective of one invoice at a time and write the rules that express properly how much to pay, what is the quota, etc. For the batch processing where running tallies are needed, there is something practical for use in the rule based systems - conclude the subtotal per each item being counted (for example, remaining annual quota through each invoice). This approach allows the declarative rules which "defined" the method calculate the score by a Bill, so that the following invoices can use the score of previous bills. Unfortunately, the description abstract approach always sounds more confused, so here is an example of rule of pseudocode that can communicate the key elements of the approach...

Assume:
Bills have numbers (or dates/hours) which can be used to conclude an absolute order for all bills (we will use Bill in ordering them in this example)
Remaining annual quota of the person is the initial amount of copay remaining before the current batch of invoices is treated
Each invoice must include a co-payment of $50 (for simplicity, although this could be concluded by rules and vary based on the services provided, etc.)
Assume all bills are more than the share (again to simplify this example, this could be dealt with in the rules of both conditions)
The main objectives of the basis of rules are to determine the share of each invoice and the balance sheet of the share of the person (i.e. copay they may still have to pay this year) after treats a batch of invoices.

Pseudo rules to get the general concept:

Set the order in which the bills need to be addressed...
-The Bill (prior Bill) is a member of previous invoices of the invoice if the s prior invoice ID< the="" invoice's="">
-The Bill (later Bill) is a member of the subsequent invoices of the invoice if the invoice later s ID > ID of the invoice
-The Bill (Bill immediately preceding) is a member of if immediately before invoice
the immediately previous invoice is a member, if the prior Bill of Bill AND
the number of previous invoices of the invoice with ID > ID of the invoice immediately before = 0

To conclude the first remaining share of each invoice... put them in a table of rules, so they can conclude the same attribute but use different logical formulas
-Initial remaining Copay of the invoice = remaining share of the person if the number of the invoice is immediately previous bills is 0 (i.e. the first Bill in the batch)
-Initial remaining Copay of the invoice = share of remaining final invoice of the immediately previous invoice (i.e. each ' initial rest copay "is the same that the invoice immediately before the 'final remaining copay)

A table is used to define how much share for each invoice - two possible scenarios...
-Share of the invoice = $50 if the original invoice remaining share > = $50
-Share of the Bill remaining share = original invoice if the original invoice remaining quota<>

A rule to determine the final remaining share of each invoice (i.e. after subtracting the share upward through this invoice of the annual overall amount of the person)
-Copay remaining final invoice = remaining share original of the invoice - share of the Bill

A rule to determine the person remains final share (i.e. After all invoices in this batch have been processed)
-remaining share final person = final remaining share of the Bill if later the invoice s County bills = 0 (i.e. the final copay remaining of the 'last' Bill in the batch)

Note that some attributes and relationships above are not absolutely necessary (i.e., it is not necessary to postpone the two remaining original co-pay and determine a final remaining share by invoice, but it retains the logic of each a little more simple rule).

Hope that helps...

• database design patterns

I would like to learn more on "database design patterns ', on the internet, I can't find good web page for this.
It should describe what data models are performed all list and describe when to use them.

CharlesRoos wrote:
Design patterns traditional relational database transactional table is what I'm looking for.

There is not really such a beast - or at least no I ran into when dealing with RDBMS designs. The approach that is usually used is a "high level data model" (often called an entity-relationship diagram). This DR. would then become the plan of action for the implementation of the physical database model.

Also such patterns exist in the database. Simpler is so-called ' header and lines plan tables "which should explain to create 2 tables and link/join with next path and it can become such performance or other problems with this model and so on.

This isn't really a model - is standardization and what is expected of relations in 3NF.

Also, it is wrong to assume that a "+ header - and - line-tables +" exist purely for performance problems. In fact, it can actually be slower done as 2 separate table (using 3NF) more simple using only one table (2NF).

I remember a design methodology called Tetrach (not sure of spelling) I have done a few courses in, in the 1980s. It deals with the prediction of the performance of the relational data models. Simply put - if you have an invoice that usually consists of a single header line and 20 lines of line, processing invoices will require an average of 21 St / s (logical or physical) by Bill. 2NF, it will take a single e/s - however, the data model and then imposes a limit of 20 lines per invoice (never forget the story on such a structure coding problems).

However, if the system is I/O forcing then? You decide on a single i/o per invoice (by limiting the flexibility of the data model) or 21 St / s per invoice (and face the real possibility that the system may be impossible to successfully treat all invoices received in time for shipment orders)?

Well, this isn't really that relevant more with modern equipment of today and storage systems - but it still illustrates to the point that performance alone is not the primary consideration for database designs.

When to use patter 'create 2 separate identical tables to separate the same kind of business objects, for exmple GoodTeachersTable and BadTeachersTable' and explain why and when creating this model. And so on. There are 30 such techniques of model I guess than that. University teaches only that we have "one-to-many" - thing in the world, that I'm not interested.

I think you're confusing models of object oriented with relational data modeling design. There is no "+ patterns +" in the data model relationship - with the exception of different normal is a get - with the fundamental objective of correctly normalizing the data model to 3NF as part of a proven recipe of a robust, functional and scalable data model design.

• all prepayment & credit memo

For what reason cannot match to a down payment invoice credit note?
Since that, how to make a refund of the prepayment?

Thank you!

Hello.
You cannot match to a credit with a prepayment. A credit memo represents the money on your behalf, he also does pay a corn unnaplied prepayment, these transactions have the same sign, that's why you can't apply one against the other. I guess that you issued a refund early to a supplier and paid, right? For some reason, you have no Bill to which applies the prepayment. The solution is to create a fake invoice and to apply the prepayment. To save the query just to refund prepayments to have it on the window and pay. The system will automatically change the payment in a refund (negative payments). It works for APPS 11.5.10 version (and some older, I think)
