family basic Vista Edition installation

I have a new hard drive and when I try to install windows it says that some files may be missing... . How is that? and how do I install it costs?

If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

  • Legality of the basic family Windows Vista Edition installation of Windows 8

I have an OEM version of Windows Vista Home Basic (legally bought). I can install it on one new PC (other than the one on which I installed for the first time) and upgrade to a legally purchased the retail of Windows 8. As far as I know, the OEM licenses are tied to the first PC where they are installed. So is it legal according to Microsoft to use to upgrade to Windows 8 on another PC.

Any useful response will be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you very much.

You can buy a copy OEM System Builder of Windows 8 or Windows 8 Pro that look like copies of detail and includes the rights of transfer to a new computer or motherboard.

In addition, you can buy recently 8.1 for Windows or Windows Pro 8.1 update retail copies which are actually full versions.

    How to reinstall Vista

Contact the manufacturer of the laptop computer and ask them to send you to vista recovery disks to reinstall the operating system back as it was when you bought it

they do it for a nominal cost of $

also ask them if you have a recovery partition on your hard drive to get back to the way you bought

'Product Key' is probably what you mean.

You buy it in a store by itself (Windows Vista Home Basic which is) or is it installed on your computer?

If you bought autonomous - it is the case of DVD that the DVD is in.  If it came pre-installed, it is on a sticker pasted on your machine.

  • Microsoft Visual Basic 2005 Express Edition Installation problems.

I was trying to Visual Basic 2005 Express edition. It stops in the middle and gives me an error message: Visual Studio 2005 has a compatibility problem known with this version of Windows. When I tried to install above two 'VS80sp1-KB926601-X 86 - ENU' and "VS80sp1-KB932232 - X 86 - ENU", I get the error message "the upgrade patch cannot be installed by the windows service install because the program to be upgraded is may be missing, or the upgrade patch may update a different version of the program."
