  • Lost my recovery of my Satellite A20-S103 disk

Hi all! I lost my recovery of my Satellite A20-S103 disk. Anyone could copy it for me? Or, there is somewhere I can get it? Thank you! Be well!

    > Could someone copy it for me?

Toshiba Forum is not an emporium of recovery disks!
I guess that a recovery could be ordered from the ASP.

If this laptop is too old then it will not be possible to get the collection of the ASP.
In this case, you need to install the XP from your own disc, and then the pilots could be downloaded from the Toshiba page.

  • CAN bus off fast recovery and recovery slow modes

    Hello

I know the busoff recovery procedure consists of monitoring the CAN bus up to 128 11 consecutive recessive bit sequences have been observed.

But I want to know what is the bus fast recovery and slow the recovery.

    Thanks in advance.

    Kind regards

Where you see the terms "broad recovery fast bus" and "slow bus off recovery". As far as I know, the spec CAN define only a single bus out of recovery.

  • Questions about the parameters of database using a fast recovery area and the writing of two copies of archived redo logs.

My databases are 11.2.0.3.7 Enterprise Edition. My OS is AIX 7.1.

I am to convert databases to use individual zones of rapid recovery and have two questions about what values to assign to database settings related to archived redo logs. This example refers to a database.

I read that if I specify

    Log_archive_dest_1 =' LOCATION = USE_DB_RECOVERY_FILE_DEST'

the names of newspapers archived redo written in the default quick recovery area is '% t_%S_%r.dbf '.

In the past my archived redo logs have been appointed based on the parameter

    log_archive_format='GPAIDT_archive_log_%t_%s_%r.arc'

I think log_archive_format will be ignored for logs archived redo written in the fast recovery area.

I am planning to write a second copy of the archived redo logs based on the parameter

    ALTER system set log_archive_dest_2 = ' LOCATION = / t07/admin/GPAIDT/arch.

If I do this, the copy of logs placed in /t07 will be called '% t_%S_%r.dbf' or 'GPAIDT_archive_log_%t_%s_%r.arc '?

Before my use of a fast recovery area, I used the OEM 12 c Console to specify settings of backup of database that has been deleted and archived redo logs after 1 backup. Oracle manuals say rather specify a deletion of "none" policy and allow Oracle delete newspapers in the area of fast recovery if necessary. Since I got to keep a second copy of these log files in /t07 should I keep the policy that says to delete logs after 1 backup? If I don't do that, how will they removed from /t07?

    Thank you

    Bill

If I do this, the copy of logs placed in /t07 will be called '% t_%S_%r.dbf' or 'GPAIDT_archive_log_%t_%s_%r.arc '?

They will be "GPAIDT_archive_log_%t_%s_%r.arc". LOG_ARCHIVE_FORMAT is only ignored for directories under OMF.

Since I got to keep a second copy of these log files in /t07 should I keep the policy that says to delete logs after 1 backup? If I don't do that, how will they removed from /t07?

You can hold the deletion policy as it is. Oracle documentation, defining the STRATEGY of the ARCHIVELOG DELETION: "the deletion of archived newspaper policy applies to logs archive destinations, including the area of fast recovery."

  • Fast recovery area size

    Oracle 11g r2 on Linux.

    The system configuration:

+ DATA (ASM diskgroup data multiplexed logs file online and control files of 300 GBtotal capacity)

FRA (file system like ext3 on the ability of oradata/u01/oradata of separate drive of 300 GB of cooked)

Now create the database with the dbca Wizard:

On the homescreen "Multiplex Redo Logs and control files", I specified oradata/u01/oradata (located on the drive of FRA) and another copy to the location by default of the + DATA diskgroup.

On the screen of the fast recovery area:

    Fast recovery area: / u01/oradata
Fast recovery area size: 4122 M bytes
    Enable Archiving-> Archive Log Destinations: / u01/oradata

This ASSESSMENT will take the following files to run:

1 multiplexed online redo logs and control files

    2 archived redo logs

3 game data files backup (full and incremental)

Given the fact the + storage capacity is 300 GB and the FRA will hold all of the above files, can I change the default 4122 MB to a number close to the 300 GB, such as M 290000 bytes?  or any other number (less than the size of the FRA disc).

    Thank you

    Scott

You have specified/u01/oradata as the location of your fast recovery area. And then you have specified/u01/oradata as the location of the error log archive and multiplexes onlne logfiles. This will cause terrible confusion. Just because they are in the same path does not mean that they are the same thing. If you did as you described, you do not use the FRA at all. You will need to ask the IS_RECOVERY_DEST_FILE of the views column to check if a file is actually in the FRA, rather than just happening to be in the same directory of file system.

  • Keys ' fn + ' do not work - Hp Probook s 4730. No "action keys mode" on my Bios.

I have a Hp Probook s 4730 with 64-bit Windows 7 and Bios F.29. There are no blessed "mode keys" within this version of the BIOS, which is available on the HP website to download latest version . Yes, I looked several times for the keys to action or anything like him, but he does not really exist. My keys "fn + ' do not work!

    I see two possibilities here.

    (1) the most likely issue is that "support for action" is disabled in the BIOS.  Here is a document that shows exactly where the 'action key support' option should be located in the BIOS of your laptop.  So when you go to this section of your BIOS is not listed?

    (2) you have not installed "Support HP Hotkey'.  This is what contains the drivers for the function key (Fn) support.  You can download the drivers here.  After you download the drivers that you want to remove the drivers in the section "Keyboard" in the Device Manager and restart the laptop.  After the restart, re - install the drivers and try to use your function keys once more.  Finally, please post the result.

  • The fast recovery area cannot be used for log archiving?

I use the version 11.0.2.3 for testing.  I read a line like below from the book of the OCP.

If none of the LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST_n settings have been defined, then the transition

the database in archivelog mode will define LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST_10 internally to the

Flash zone recovery, if it has been configured.

In my database, fast recovery already defined as below.

    SQL > show parameter db_recovery

    VALUE OF TYPE NAME

    ------------------------------------ ----------- ------------------------------

    db_recovery_file_dest string + FASTRECOVERY

    whole large db_recovery_file_dest_size 4248M

So I thought that if I turn the database in log mode archive, the log_archive_dest_10 will be defined as the same value as db_recovery_dest.

    SQL > alter archivelog database;

    Database altered.

    SQL > alter database open;

    Database altered.

SQL > show the log_archive_dest parameter

    VALUE OF TYPE NAME

    ------------------------------------ ----------- ------------------------------

    Log_archive_dest chain

    Log_archive_dest_1 chain

    LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST_10 string

See archive of the database becomes, the log_archive_dest_10 always be empty.

So is there something wrong with my understanding?

It is quote an Oracle Press all-in-one exam guide of the I had a part in writing. Your problem is you are using 11.2.x,, but the book was written with 11.1.x. glance the relevant parameters in the docs for both versions, and you will see that the situation has changed.

Uni Oracle validates the examinations against both versions, so avoid any question where the difference would matter, but in any case, with your attention to detail, I'm sure that tat will have no problem with the exams.

Order of disk recovery page is https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx and you can check in any case.

    What you can do?
You can install the clean version of Windows XP Home edition and later download and install all necessary drivers, tools and utilities manually.

Choose the product type > Archive and you should find your old machine which are listed there.

I had a number of compaq for 5 years, when I have the format window just use 1 cd and this finished!

I want to know that if I portable format and use this recovery disk, I won't lose 64 bit, right?
What happens if I have 64 bit for installation next, what I have to do? Please help me too...
    Thank you very much!

    Hello

The situation is simply. If you check the market of PC and laptop, you will see that new products will be offered with operating systems 64-bit.
So, the production of software goes slowly in that direction.

Toshiba offers all new notebook with 64-bit operating system, but also provide you with the 32-bit version if you feel comfortable with it and if you want to use some software not designed for 64-bit operating systems.

Your laptop comes with the HARD drive recovery image and if you read s manuals you can find info you need to create own recovery DVDs.
This can be done with the preinstalled Toshiba Recovery Disk Creator. The shortcut for this tool, you can find on the desktop.

So, before you anything please create this installation disc. After doing this, you can install the 32-bit version and use so long desired.
When you want to have the 64-bit version to use the new created the recovery for the installation disk.

I hope you now understand how it works.
If you have any other questions please let me know.
