Fax basic Trouble Shooting steps

Here are a few things to keep in mind before troubleshooting.

If you have DSL, or help you to telephone service by a cable company or VOIP(Voice Over Internet Protocol), such as Vonage, you have digital lines. Digital lines are not bad, but they are not the best for the fax. Fax technology was designed for analogue lines, which send a smooth continuous signal. Digital lines actually chopping and compress the sound entries into packets of data, which can read other digital cameras, but other analog devices cannot. If you have any type of digital line, it is better to make sure that a DSL/digital filter is installed before you attempt to fax. You can find more information on digital lines and faxes here.
If you do not use the cord from the telephone to two sons supplied with your printer, your Fax will be more likely to fail. The difference in the two-wire cable supplied with your printer and a standard phone cord are the pins of copper on ends. Standard telephone cable has 4 pins to allow for more information (background noise) to be picked up on the phone. That's why you can hear the TV and the fans in the background on the phone calls. The two-wire cable has only 2 pins, which cut out a lot of background noise. The two-wire cable is designed for faxing to reduce static interference.

Now for some basic problems of shooting stages. These measures cover most of the problems you'll either send or receive faxes. If they do not help, take care to create a new post with your printer model and the problem you are experiencing. Include error codes or messages that you can.

Make sure that the printer is the first thing on the phone line, except if you have a digital line. If you have a digital line, the printer must be the first thing on the line after the DSL/digital filter.
If you have an answering machine, be sure that the rings before answer on the printer is set higher than the rings before answer on the answering machine. This means that if the answering machine picks up after four rings, the printer must be set to six rings.
Make sure that the Mode of Error Correction is enabled offshore. It can cause faxes to fail if you send older analog or digital for everything. The Mode of fixed error trying to fix all the errors it finds in tones that he picks up faxes, but can cause more errors fixed.
Make sure that the fax speed is set to slow. This will make faxes go slower, but if the lines are digital or old it will improve the quality of the signal and give the fax the best chance of success.
Make sure you have the auto answer. If the automatic answer is not on, the fax will resume not by himself.
Make sure you have the distinctive ring set figure on the right. You must pay for distinctive ring patterns, so you shouldn't if you have it or not. If you do not, it is better to have the fax for all rings.

Do Safe Mode system restore, if it is impossible to do in Normal Mode.

Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

Definitely looks like a problem with the network device. Check with sound
Support, their books online, the drivers and ask in their forums (if any)
on known problems. If there is a control of the device shipped with the system
Manufacturer (manufacturer of motherboard for customized systems). If a device check separated
with the support of its creator and other resources.

You could also remove or disable the device and try a new add-on as one
new card or device USD. None of those who are dear.

Trouble Shooting basic steps if the printer cannot communicate with the computer.

Here are the steps to follow if your printer has problems to connect to a computer for basic troubleshooting.

USB:

Make sure that the USB cable is connected sucurely at both ends.
Make sure that the USB cable is connected directly to your computer. If you have a USB hub between the printer and the computer, it can cause communication problems.
Make sure that your do not plug the USB key into a USB 3.0 port. HP printers do not work with USB 3.0 connections and can prevent the computer to see the printer.
Make sure that the USB cable is less than 6 ft. No more 6 ' can generate signals lose who will cause problems of miscommunication.
Have a backup USB cable. The truth is USB cables are good markets for be sold at low prices. Sometimes they last for years without any problem. Sometimes they are bad when buy you them. It's really just a matter of chance. The chances of getting a bad store fees are quite low, but it happens and it never hurts to prepare.

Wireless and Ethernet:

Follow all the steps in this document. Do step in the document will ensure that your printer on the network and has a stable connection. The only thing to change is under the fifth step. Under the fifth step, it tells you how to set DNS information on your printer. It tells you to use the IP of your router. Do not. Use the public DNS to Google for favorite 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 for the alternate. The reason why I use Google DNS is twofold. (1) HP printers seem to connect better with Google DNS. (2) If your printer has web services, web services have a better chance to connect with Google DNS.
If your anti-virus software has a firewall, disable it. Anti-virus firewall can block network communication between devices on the same network, and disabling the firewall may allow communication to flow normally. If the firewall is the problem, there are ports you need to open once you activate the firewall again. These ports will be listed at the end of this post.

These are the basic things that you can do if you think you have problems with the printer and computer to communicate with one another.

trouble shooter

I play fps like call of duty but its SO SLOW ALL THE TIME! When I load it when I try to join its always slow. When the main menu loads up on top of the game, it turns into a festival of lag and I even did nothing yet. I can sit here for hours just waiting to enter a server. the other day, I managed to get into a game after waiting 2 1/2 hours and then it started to show all ladies pink and yellow and all the player models were shadows of the dark night. I am running the wireless, but it was slow, even when I was wired... its slow to download anything on this subject. I have basic family windows and I know this isn't the internet cause or a router, I try "ed shutting down and restart them, but I have another computer and it works great 110% all of the time, but that 1 is only for school." I have a recovery of BONE and 10 GB to 120 GB with 72.6 GB OS space left and 6.52 GB left recovery. also my computer model is a DELL dimension C521 if that helps. I don't know what the problem is. I would check the RAM for this model.
You can compare your installation the minimum requirements to play online.
You can also check the requirments for the game video card.

Wireless tends to really slow down the game online, but it seems that you already knew.

You can update the video card driver by visiting the manufacturer's Web site and download the latest drivers for your card to reinstall the device. You must have permission from the admin well.

You could look in ReadyBoost to see if it helps.

Keyboard is not recognized. I think it's a driver problem. Last good config and tried to go into safe mode but without keyboard does not help. computer doesn't have any malware left in it. but subsequently noticed that things do not work right - google earth is good example. I then right click on the icon and place comes the list such as 'open with' but there is also one "Troubleshoot for compatibility" list just then up to 2 choices - one of the top is "compatibility with the applied settings" but it says "windows xp - service pack 2" it lists not windows 7 or windows 7 ultimate. " so I clicked on troubleshoot and place comes the yellow triangle exclamation "problems found - this program is not compatible with windows xp in terms of statistics... '. It is usually a router issue and IE can usually deal with it.

Firefox is not part of the Windows shell, while IE is. Firefox is not normally booted with Windows. The settings of the router may be the problem. With my computer and router I was using, there was a kind of server setup which should be activated.

I did no help button and cannot access trouble shoot page ro reset

commissioning is slow, general operations also slow BUT main problem is that I can not reset it... I lost the top line on the screen that had 'file', help etc... instructions to access "to reset troubleshooting page does not work.

Your post is a bit inconsistent.

If, as the subject says, you did something with msconfig that makes your "unusable" computer, rerun msconfig, check the box 'Normal Startup' and restart.

If you did something other than (or in addition to using msconfig), please explain what you were doing. Also explain what was your original problem.

Please indicate the message any errors that you see, not only something like "windows cannot respond because server system does not work."

How do I trouble shoot hard drive and buy more memory and recovery for a HP Probook 4520 s disc?

Well, my new probook was a month, a few days back, I could not boot my laptop which is a Win7 Home Premium 32-bit, after launching the diagnostic system and memory test, my laptop started kicking and I can use it again, but too slow to be a month ago. Another problem is that I deleted the recovery partition without creating the recovery disc (stupid me, never thought of that while trying to repartition), HP could provide me with the recovery disk free of costs cause I think I already buy the preload windows 7 when buying?

Last but not least, 2 GB of RAM is a little small, I would like to upgrade to 4 GB (2 GB x 2) can I do it myself or does it need a technician HP to do?

Your screenshot it looks like your hard drive is defective and must be replaced - it is certainly covered by the warranty, so you will need to contact HP. Backup all your files as soon as you can as readers may fail completely very sudden.

You can also request a set of discs of recovery at the same time - I think they are about $10, but you can get the tax lifted; It can't hurt to try!
